It’s not about having a female character but more about historical accuracy. I am pissed off by the trailer and yet I love many video game with female characters in them. Playable female character :

-Bayonette

-Nier Automata

-Metroid

-Fire emblem

Now the list contain only 4 items, but 3 of those games in the list are series. I don’t care about the gender of the protagonist. However, I do care about historical accuracy.

If you’re a man whose offended that there’s a woman in the Battlefield 5 trailer consider this: maybe you’re the actual snowflake demanding that game companies cater to you while other demographics are simply asking for the same representation that you already have. I mean, if you’re truly so offended by this trailer, just go make your own game, isn’t that what you tell the big bad SJW’s all the time? Then I tell them that my favorite one is Xenoblade chronicle 2, the one where feminists outraged because of the bunny girl. Then I tell them my four favorite female blades :

The I show them the photo of those characters. In most case, that piss her off because “Women in video game are sexualized!”, but its not all then I tell her :

Yup, SJWs at its best, with all what is going on Link decide to be a girl... Fact is, Link is a men and should stay a men since he was created like that and no one should judge the creators. I know, bad trans representation, but keep in mind that LOZ is not a game to talk about politics or anything like that. Unassumingvenusaur, your hacks are goods and allow other people enjoy gay relationships in fire emblem. However, FE fates was made with 99% of the characters straight, no matter what you think. In echoes, Leon is gay and if someone say otherwise, I won’t be happy. Do you know another thing that I would not be happy about either? Creators catering to peoples. No Nintendo should not include a gender option for link, no they should not make a tragic trans backstory for Link and no they should not make Link gay just because people want him to be. Am I homophobe or sexist? Nope! If Link was gay since the first Zelda on NES I would be pissed if someone made him heterosexual , Link is an icon and should remain unchanged. I would not give a fuck the same if Link was a female since NES LOZ either. There’s game out there that give the players gender option :

Pokemon, Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, Dark souls, Dark souls 2, Dark souls 3, Fire emblem awakening, fire emblem fates, Monster hunter 1, Monster hunter 2, Monster hunter 3U, monster hunter 4U, Monster hunter X, Persona 3, Persona 4, Huniepop(yes even an eroge game!), Secret of grindea... And many others...

Is it because many are not popular franchise? Is it because all the popular heroes of video games are male? Samus is female and many male gamers are fan of metroid. 

My suggestion is why don’t you guys create video games where the main character is trans? You can do it, the creator of Zelda does not as to do it and is not immoral for not doing so.

Also, I didn’t find that scene transphobic nor insulting, I’m asperger and I found the asperger syndrom episode of south park hilarious. Just keep in mind that LOZ franchise is Japanese and Japanese are not as open as the west for what concern LGBT or whatever letters they added to that word...

Fuck my life

I’m a dungeon master in pathfinder, I make a world and my players explore that world. One day, one of my friend says “ Nick, can I  bring one of my friend? Your players needed an healer and he’s quite good at doing it.” I said ok, why not? James was a samsaran witch with the healing patron, not the best healer but still a great player. Mike was a barbarian and Jack was a bard. The friend of my friend, our guest was a cleric. A trans female Changeling he said and my reaction was : “How the fuck it is possible!? In the lore, a changeling is always a female so... ” and he respond to me like this : “You’re transphobic! You just hate trans characters!” Which I quickly respond : 

“ A male offspring of a hag is always of the race of its father no matter what! In other word, your character can be a trans elf, trans human or trans everything except a fucking trans women changeling! A trans man changeling, yes but female no! Even then, why you need to do that?! Just create a female characters, pathfinder is a way to escape the real world, if you want to be a chick in the game, be a fucking chick! You want to represent trans people? Mike,James and Jake don’t care about trans issues or homophobia in a world about killing dragons  or making oneself an army of undead to spread disease and probably won’t even give a single fuck about your character since Mike just want to fucking kill dragons, for him, your changeling is just a cleric made to heal him and nothing else, James is a witch and what he want is to summon T-rex to make a great rampage or just bind a lot of succubus to make a succubus bordello! Do you think he cares about your identity? No! Your just a fucking cleric that will help him survive till he can summons his horde of succubus! Finally for Jake, he just want to use his bardic knowledge to control the world and like the other of the two, you are the cleric, not the changeling, not the ho so brave trans women facing the mean world or the women standing up against sexism, for fuck sake, James has the hex cook people, he likes to cook living being into cookies that boost his strength, he kills to make peoples into strength boosting cookies! I think at this point, no one gives a shit about your feelings or those of your character. Not their characters nor my NPCs, you will just be a walking pile of flesh like the others and will kill you to rob you like they tried countless times with Mike,James and Jake. You can stay and play but know that my NPCs are not politically correct and never will be.”

And he was gone, seems like I said something offensive to him and I don’t feel any guilt about it, When you play pathfinder, it is to escape reality, goddamnit just create a male or a female character, in real life I acknowledge the existance of trans female and trans male, I respect both of them. Pathfinder however, fuck off!
