god. i forgot how truly horribly compelling once upon a time is for me. obvs the swanqueen dynamic still makes me want to chew my arm off but also. the stupidly complicated and fun puzzlebox storytelling where Every Single Thing has to fit. the terrible circular nigh on incestuous fairytale family trees that if u think about too hard it gives u a headache. the absolutely terrible sets (the FUCKING apple tree. the costume jewelry. the conure(?) that they colored blue to be the bluebird that snow releases).
