Announcing a new song project: Exhibit.
Every Tuesday for 8 weeks I will spend time in a New York City museum. Within one week’s time, I will compose and record a song (at home, all alone) inspired by the visit.
The inaugural song in the series, “Here Comes the Monster,” was inspired by The American Museum of Natural History’s Hall of Marine Life.
Hear it on Bandcamp.
Reblog for a chance to win a copy of the National Audubon Society Field Guide to Fishes, Whales and Dolphins inscribed with handwritten lyrics to this song and signed by me.

Who's this "Ibid" character anyway?
Many of the statements in this paper are also noted as coming from a person only identified as ‘Ibid’ in the footnotes. I am not skeptical of Ibid’s view, but I would like to find his/her article and read it for myself.

Great piece of writing that reminds me of this: http://youtu.be/rMweXVWB918
For the past six days I’ve been sick. Started with laryngitis and then an upper respiratory infection and it’s taking me forever to get over it.
I’ve been watching movies on Netflix, but it’s starting to bum me out. Movies are all so something that what I’m living right now isn’t. The internet is...

This is Richard Hayne, President and CEO of Urban Outfitters. He’s also a supporter of Rick Santorum and donated over $13,000 to him. He’s against gay marriage and abortion. His company pulled a pro-gay shirt back in 08, they also blatantly ripped off an Etsy designers work, featured a t-shirt for women that said “eat less” and most recently had a card with a “tranny” slur on in. Why do you shop at this store? I imagine because you weren’t aware of these facts. Now you are, so stop shopping there.

Prosecuting someone for assault is petty, you guys! Let’s teach him a lesson through song.
prayers for mojo, on the michael episode of glee (via nuditea)
Glee wisdom. Not forgiving a bully? Petty! Being changed through emotional drama? Petty! Prosecuting for assault? So, so very childish. Now cry (and sing about whether it matters if you're black or white - this is Glee! It does not!).

Scumbag, the queer feminist mascotte I made last weekend. Over the past six months, I have produced 10 cuddly toys, all hand made, all from discarded fabrics. FREE HUGS (click to see more) is now unofficially and carefully accepting commissions... Any tips or suggestions?

After a long day, you just want to go home and shove the closest edible thing into your mouth and watch whatever is on Netflix instant. And on weekends, you try to psych yourself up to go out at night but then you realize you are just so damn tired and Netflix instant sounds awesome. And there’s all that driving and like, having to wear pants.

Shit People Say to Bisexuals
After watching and thoroughly enjoying Shit Girls Say to Gay Guys I thought it might be fun to share some of the remarks I’ve received over the past year or so (oh God, it’s only been about 18 months. Imagine the bucketfuls of original insights looming at the horizon). But I’m not one for making videos, and furthermore, I’m currently in the middle of assignment stress. So what I’ll do is, I’ll just make a start on the list here, and everyone can copy and add and remark, and perhaps someone else will at one point like to take it to the next level?
‘But you have a boyfriend.’
‘Don’t you have a boyfriend, though?’
‘Oh that’s weird, ’cause I thought you had a boyfriend.’
‘How does your boyfriend feel about that?’
F: ‘So, would you fancy me?’
‘So what do you like better, girls or guys?’
M: ‘You’ve just never been with the right guy.’
‘Yeah okay, but who do you like more?’
‘You know what, this annoys me. Lately I’ve been meeting girls all over the place who say: “Oh yeah, I’m bisexual,” but then they still have a boyfriend.’
‘So how are you bisexual?’
‘How old are you? Yeah, that’s a phase.’
‘Oh fun, I have never met any gay people before!’
‘Wow! That’s amazing! So, when you go out, you have like a 100% chance of hooking up!’
‘You mean you’re pansexual.’
‘You mean you’re a lesbian.’
‘You mean you’re bicurious.’
‘But have you ever been in a relationship with a girl.’
‘Alright, alright, but how do you know?’
‘I still think you’re straight.’
‘So you’re like a wanna-be-lesbian?’
‘But, you say you have a boyfriend, so.. How does that even work?’
‘Well yeah, of course deep down, we’re all inherently bisexual. But if you’re really honest, there’s always one (ed.: gender) you prefer.’
‘So you can just sleep with… .. … EVERYBODY!’
‘That has to be so hard.’
‘That has to be so easy.’
