Happy Hot Day!!!It's been so hottttt!This is my fave goose finally got to see her today .All the babies have been causing pond chaos so the others try and stay clear of all of them .

It doesn't even matter noone looks at this I just love these guys ,They're apart of my everyday life like a family pet ,Sadly I am moving away from here in 2 weeks so trying to see them as much as I can Idk who will look out for them when I am gone but at least this little corner of the internet can keep them with me .Luckily I will still be working 2 days a week right where the pond is so that's a bright side .It's just a not even that nice of a retention pond but it's like a diff place a little piece of nature and beauty in an otherwise not so great place.Ive gotten to know these geese and their offspring and the ducks and yes the squirrels even the turtles and I love them all.I also wanted to show ppl that geese are not just an annoyance.Theyre amazing in so many ways .

Mottled ducks a relative of the mallard ,These two are so cute and they have taught a gosling how to quack .So they are contributing to the good of the pond and allowed to stay.

After the turf battle they have settled into a temporary truce shifting their focus to beating the summer heat .While the temps are rising the pond has transformed into a lazy day retreat

The pond has become a battle ground as multiple goose families stake their claim over prime swimming.feeding,napping and sunbathing spots.Parents honk furiously at rivals

While goslings waddle behind in formation learning the art of territorial defense .Witnesses report dramatic stared owns, mid pond chases and even a few splashy showdowns .1 supr sassy gosling has been seen trying to charge a much larger rival only to retreat in a flurry of panicked paddling !
