Vigilante marinette ask: who's ladybug in this au because all the options I've thought of don't fit lila alya chloe ect so if it isn't to important who is ladybug and how did she get the miraculous
The Ladybug holder's identity is a spoiler secret. I was thinking something along the lines of Crimson for her hero name but it's not set in stone. As for how she got the ladybug earrings, the short answer is Marinette was chosen but due to unforeseeable circumstances she never received them. Mostly it's Chloé's fault.
I think somewhere it was once mentioned that Alya had been to Fu's place for healing at some point and was actually considered as a possible ladybug, but ultimately Marinette was chosen. I'm not 100% sure about that though. For this AU I have other plans for Alya so it's not her, but that's all the hints I'll give for now.
The long answer:
Master Fu couldn't get past Marinette's parents and Wayzz couldn't open something as heavy as the trapdoor to her room by himself. Because of the *StArt Design Competition Incident* (basically an incident over the summer involving Chloé breaking into Marinette's room, destroying her project and wrecking her stuff) Marinette took extra precautions with her room so no one else could get in. (Her parents later made her take them down once they found out because they thought she was being paranoid.)
Fu had a short conversation with her parents and learned that she went to school next door. He didn't have much time as he also had to find a holder for the Black Cat Miraculous. After picking Adrien and getting the miraculous in his room he went back to check on Marinette at school where he and Wayzz did figure out which locker was hers. He saw the purple butterfly approaching and knew it was only a matter of time before someone got Akumatized. He had to get the Miraculous to her asap so he put them in her locker instead of her room.
He had to sneak around very carefully pretending to be a janitor to not get spotted as a stranger in a school while trying to arrange for Marinette to get to her locker alone. Fu has to distract Chloé for a moment to keep her away but it only frustrates her and she walks off after insulting him. Fu thinks she left and can't stick around too long because someone might realize he's not supposed to be there so he leaves, and has no idea that Chloé turned around to take her frustration out on Marinette. (Adrien still hasn't shown up and she wants him there).
When Marinette opened her locker she briefly glanced at the miraculous box but didn't think much of it, possibly having been something left by whoever had her locker last year, although she didn't remember it being there earlier. She dropped some of her stuff and had to crawl under a bench to get her sketchbook.
Chloé enters the locker room, sees Marinette crawling around and makes fun of her. Marinette turned to leave but Chloé tripped her for back-talking her about the seats and made insulting remarks, then Marinette scrambles to get her stuff and rushes out the door to meet Alya in the library, then more people come in and the box gets tangled up in the chaos that ensues. {Redacted} gets the Miraculous and Marinette has no idea what happened.
Then Ivan gets Akumatized and everyone freaks out and goes home.
{Redacted} opens it at home. She is a little scared at first, and Tikki tells her that she isn't supposed to have them, but she has questions about the earrings and what's going on, refuses to give them up and takes them out to have a closer look as they change into their disguised form.
It's an emergency and Tikki has no choice but to obey demands and explain everything. Tikki emphasizes the idea that if anyone knows her identity then the miraculous could be taken from her, especially since she isn't supposed to have them. She loves the Idea of becoming a superhero and decides to do it herself despite knowing she wasn't the chosen holder.
Master Fu doesn't even realize that Marinette isn't the one wielding the Ladybug Miraculous until weeks later and by then it's a lot harder to do anything because he has no idea who has the earrings and it could cause issues if one of the heroes was suddenly replaced.

Ladybug costume redesign. Gotta have something a little less flashy than bright red for stealth missions.

I drew this by hand with colored pencils, so it's not very good.

Based on the ash gray Lady beetle.

Vigilante mari question how does the rest of the class react to the Vigilante since you know thay have the most exposure to them with all of them getting akumatized
Thanks for the ask.
As hard as Marinette tries to be discreet the entire class has met her vigilante alter ego at some point. She's even had conversations with a couple of them and teamed up with them in situations where they were also trying to help in some way. Other times she's comforting them after they've been Akumatized. Each has their own experiences and opinions. They occasionally debate her motives.
Individual opinions under cut.
Adrien thinks she's awesome because he has also worked with her as Chat Noir, but he can't tell anyone about that since they'd ask for details about their interactions. He secretly likes that she's getting recognition and points out she's doing good by helping the heroes. He likes hearing other people's accounts because he thinks it may help him figure out her real identity.
Alya is usually too caught up in the superheroes to focus on the vigilante, but she also runs after Akuma battles and has probably seen more of the vigilante than anyone besides the heroes themselves. She's seen the vigilante's crazy plans and is always willing to go along with them because she has faith that it will work as always. She does side research into her identity when there isn't anything on the superheros or Hawkmoth to dig into.
Nino wonders if the vigilante is only helping to get famous and thinks she's insane for fighting supervillains without powers. Some of the stuff she does is cool though.
Chloé thinks she's a loser who's only going to get in the way of the real heroes despite having been saved by the vigilante directly multiple times.
Sabrina admires the person who assists the heroes without getting the same recognition despite it being really dangerous. She sees the fights and how the vigilante gets injured a lot. The vigilante doesn't have powers and isn't as amazing as the heroes, but she's still doing everything she can to save others, which in a way makes her even more impressive. She won't say anything positive about her out loud because Chloé doesn't like her. She starts to unconsciously see a resemblance between the heroes and the vigilante and her own dynamic with Chloé. The "better" person gets all the popularity and authority while the other works really hard and is never thanked or appreciated.
Max can't make sense of the unorthodox methods but also cannot deny that they work. The Akuma battles end way quicker when the vigilante's involved and there's usually less collateral damage even though the ladybug holder fixes it all anyway. However, he also thinks she may end up causing problems because she doesn't have powers of her own and therefore isn't on the same level as the heroes. He's trying to figure out her identity but doesn't have much success.
Kim hears about the vigilante's crazy stunts and wants to challenge him to a race or another athletic competition. Most people don't know the vigilante even exists and Marinette is always disguised so he doesn't know if said vigilante is a boy or girl. When he does find out she's a girl he doesn't really care and tries to challenge her anyways. He challenges Alix all the time and the vigilante is just another very skilled opponent that he wants to beat.
Alix recognizes her skills as an athlete but still thinks she's got to be insane and probably a masochist to go after supervillains. Does the vigilante save people? Yes, but it also looks painful. Since what the vigilante is doing doesn't affect Alix most of the time she doesn't really care one way or the other.
Rose admires her for saving people but doesn't like that she puts herself in danger and gets hurt all the time.
Juleka thinks she's cool for fighting supervillains even without powers and likes the mysterious aspects. Is the vigilante even human? Actually, are the superheroes humans? If they're all demons or aliens, that'd be really cool too.
Mylene is scared of the vigilante because she actually saw her fist fight a small army of mind controlled minions. She wonders if she's only trying to help in order to get close to the heroes and steal their miraculous either for herself or because she's secretly working for Hawkmoth.
Ivan is mostly worried for the vigilante's safety and thinks she's just going to get hurt.
Nathaniel wants to sketch her but can't find any pics. Because of this he knows she's not trying to get famous but also doesn't think she's actually a hero because she doesn't have a Miraculous.
Lila still pretends to be friends with the ladybug holder but is initially cautious in trying to lie about knowing the vigilante since she isn't famous and everyone else has mixed feelings. There are no benefits to faking a friendship with her and there's almost no information on the vigilante. Lila hadn't even known about her before joining the class so she only has the other students to go off of and can't formulate anything believable. When Lila does get enough information she sort of berates the vigilante for interfering with the heroes and praises her for helping them in such a way that everyone feels like she agrees with them. She finds out Adrien looks up to the vigilante and she immediately makes up a bunch of stuff that can't be verified but also can't be disproven either. She can't decide if she should be claiming friendship or pretending to be her. Lila goes nuts trying to track her down and find out identity. (Marinette knows she's a liar because Lila still steals the spell book, so she stays away from Lila as the vigilante to keep her from lying about her alter ego).
Marinette is always internally mortified when the vigilante comes up in discussion. She wants to discourage others from getting hurt so she berates herself to her friends for being reckless, but mentions that even superheros need support and usually ends up saying something motivating about friends supporting each other. She also says she's only seen glimpses of the vigilante and hasn't met her, while trying so hard to hide whatever injuries she has at the time so they don't make any connections or try to stop her from doing whatever it is that she keeps getting hurt from.
Luka wants to stay far away from the feral weirdo. Not only does she act insane and violent but her melody is really off. Sometimes it's almost like a crazy, spiraling, hyper jumble that doesn't quite go together unless you listen closely, other times it's loud, sharp, and kinda painful. Or there won't be a sound at all as if she's not there or everything is buried so deep it's unreachable, but somehow it's also deafening. And she just appears and disappears from nowhere or will be moving in complete silence and focus until she springs herself into action with a crash and a plan that changes the tune of everyone around her as whatever insanity she's come up with this time falls perfectly into place. He knows she's helping, but can't help being unnerved by her.
Kagami sees her as another warrior and respects her for helping, especially without powers, but also considers her a bit foolish.
Marc takes some inspiration from her for his writing but otherwise doesn't have much opinion on her actions. The vigilante does what she does and it's not their place to get involved.
M. Damocles sees her as a fellow non-powered hero despite not having much interaction with her. He attempts to do some of the same stuff she does but can't and almost gets himself hurt frequently.
Mme. Bustier uses the superheroes as an example to encourage her students to do good and help others but mentions the vigilante to point out that everyone can help out, not just those with superpowers. She tells them that getting involved with supervillains isn't safe but they can all do good in their own separate ways.
Mme. Mendeleiev isn't even sure the vigilante exists and wants her students to stop gossiping during class. She warns them not to copy her because supervillains are dangerous.
Zoé doesn't see her much if at all. Most of what she knows is second hand information. She does admire and support the vigilante for her bravery and for saving others.
They all eventually recognize that the vigilante is trying to help and accept her plans or team up with her from time to time. She helps save them a lot so they learn to trust her.

Vigilante Marinette AU
Due to extenuating circumstances Marinette isn't Ladybug and there's someone else using the earrings. Marinette ends up unintentionally becoming a hero, just without a Miraculous. (For now).
• Marinette isn't trying to get involved in the Akuma attacks, she actually avoids them at first but she just happens to get caught up in them all the time and disguises herself as best she can before jumping in because a) safety first and b) she doesn't want to have Hawkmoth after her for interfering. Without super powers she isn't able to jump across Paris all the time. She can't be at every fight and if it's an easy opponent that has nothing to do with her she just stays out of it completely. This gives her a bit more time to try tracking down Hawkmoth. There isn't much to go on but she does lots of research and keeps a record of everything she can.
She works out and trains hard, even memorizing building evacuation routes and learning parkour and martial arts to make sure she's capable of helping instead of getting in the way. She has gear too because she over prepares for everything. Definitely durable and protective clothing, homemade smoke bombs, a skateboard and a grappling gun. Possibly other stuff too. She makes a lot of it herself but also uses whatever random nearby objects happened to be convenient when things get really crazy.
Marinette doesn't want any publicity, especially since she isn't really a superhero, but that doesn't mean she isn't going to help. After too many close calls with one or both of the heroes almost losing their miraculous she decides to take a permanent support role. She mostly uses insane traps or Rube Goldberg style contraptions to do long range tricks but has also snuck up and hit supervillains with a frying pan. She does her own short patrols looking for a potential secret lair in areas Hawkmoth might be likely to use.
It eventually spreads to non-Akuma incidents and she starts investigating actual crimes. She mostly tries to get evidence and turns it in to the police anonymously but occasionally gets tangled up in muggings or gang fights. Only now there isn't an Akuma so the superheroes don't get involved and there's no cure to fix everything in the end. Marinette sees so much violence and other messed up stuff on top of all the Akuma stuff. She has nightmares all the time and frequently gets injured.
• The other ladybug holder isn't nearly as good at making plans (what am I supposed to do with a water bottle?) or at being patient others. They love being a superhero, but they have a very hard time with all the pressure that comes with it, having to drop everything and fight a supervillain at random, unpredictable hours AND be polite to everyone, no matter how annoying they are. They either hang back and let Chat Noir do the fighting while they attempt to figure out how to capture the Akuma or try to use brute force.
They hate the random person who constantly comes up with crazy plans that somehow work or points out a weakness they didn't notice. It's infuriating how someone without powers somehow manages to outdo them at their job. They have enough trouble as it is without dealing with a civilian getting in the way.
• Since Chat Noir does more fighting and for longer periods of time he's constantly exhausted, especially with all the other extracurricular activities he has as Adrien. He still flirts a bit and makes way too many puns. He has a newfound freedom as a superhero and wants to let loose and have some fun but it ends up being a lot more work too. Sometimes he doesn't take it quite as seriously as he should because there isn't a lot of leeway in battles. One minute everything is going fine and the next he's about to lose his miraculous. It's difficult for everyone involved.
Whenever the vigilante helper shows up things get a lot easier for him because there's an actual strategy involved instead of just wearing himself out trying to beat all the villains head on. She's amazing and he's very happy to have her even if his spotted partner hates it.
• Alya doesn't look up to and admire the other holder as much as she would with Ladybug. They aren't as strategic and they struggle a lot so she's worried sometimes. When a superhero frequently scolds her for getting too close to fights and posting videos of them in difficult or potentially embarrassing situations despite her mostly posting actual footage it puts a damper on her respect levels.
She doesn't notice the vigilante at first, but once she saves Alya directly she tries to learn everything about her. It's almost impossible to find anything because the new broadcasts never catch more than a brief glimpse and even then the focus is still on the heroes. She's really good at hiding, especially when there's cameras involved. No one even notices she's there unless she wants them too.
Once Alya finally gets some footage of her the vigilante sneaks up behind her and snatches her phone right out of her hand and disappears before she realizes what happened. The vigilante immediately deletes the video and types a note saying that she doesn't want any publicity since she isn't a superhero, that her actions might cause others to start acting recklessly and put themselves in danger and how one of her biggest advantages is that she's unexpected and being public may hinder that. Even superheros have secrets for a reason. She doesn't tell Alya to stop her blog though, she points out how it's a great way to get information for those who need it, to focus on the heroes and try to find other ways to help without constantly putting herself in danger.
The phone is returned to Alya's pocket without her even noticing. Being Marinette has the distinct advantage of being able to get really close to her without raising any suspicion. Alya has to respect the message because it's a good point. But just because she isn't going to post anything about the hero without powers doesn't mean that she's going to stop trying to learn all she can.
• Master Fu doesn't know what's going on at first. He watches the news and begins to wonder if he made the right choice. If he should consider either giving out another Miraculous or reassigning the ones already out to new holders. The ladybug holder isn't doing as well as he thought she would and Chat Noir is clearly having trouble too. They aren't as good at teamwork as he hoped and they are just kids. He keeps a closer eye on the heroes, even watching the fight up close a couple of times in case he has to step in.
Then he sees Marinette out of costume during a battle (she doesn't always have it with her or have time to change immediately and sometimes she has to be Marinette) and realizes that she didn't get the earrings as intended. Did she think she wasn't the right choice and give them to someone else? Did someone steal them!? He and Wayzz immediately start looking into everyone around Marinette to see if it could be them, and double check that Chat Noir is Adrien, but they aren't having much luck. Good thing there's a vigilante helping the heroes. He considers giving her a miraculous but he has no idea who she is. There are a couple of times when he has to help them out despite his age.
• The people of Paris don't have as much faith in the heroes because it's very clear that they're struggling. They don't know if the heroes will win or lose so everyone is stressed out and afraid. There was always the belief that Ladybug would win and then fix everything but this holder isn't Marinette. People don't trust them quite as much and that leads to more fear in general resulting in more Akumas.
There are frequent instances where the vigilante has to evacuate civilians and eventually some people start recognizing her. There are online rumors about her existence which some people don't believe, but others realize that they've seen her too. There's a bit of unofficial merch which is hard to make because unlike the heroes her outfit changes a lot.
• Hawkmoth comes close to winning multiple times. He doesn't know what happens when he practically has the heroes in his clutches only for something to go wrong and he loses anyway. Natalie eventually figures out that somehow, someone else is helping them which infuriates Gabriel to no end. He ends up making a lot more Akumas out of people who are just moderately angry even if they aren't as powerful or easy to manipulate.
• This AU has a darker vibe than cannon with consequences for actions and more violence, but that also means Marinette gets to hit criminals with a baseball bat.

Iida: Bakugo! Remove your feet from the desk at once!
Bakugo: Why the hell should I do that, four-eyes?
Iida: Because it's disrespectful to the people who made the desk as well as our great upperclassmen who used the desks before us!
Midoriya trying to defuse the situation: Actually, the desks were probably built to withstand the weight of a person so it's not like he'll seriously damage it unless he tries to. Which... he would...
Bakugo: Shut up Deku!!!
Iida: Still, you are disgracing those who came before us and I cannot stand for that.
Midoriya: What if our upperclassmen put their feet on the desks too?
Bakugo: *trying to decide if he should be smug at Iida or yell at Midoriya, getting more frustrated by the second and still has his feet on he desk*
Iida: *surprised gasp* Midoriya, I am shocked that you would imply such a thing.
Present Mic from the hallway: Yeah we did that sometimes. That guy *pointing to Aizawa* used to sleep during class sometimes too.
Aizawa: Leave me out of this Mic.
Kaminari: Used to? He still does.
Aizawa, crawling into his sleeping bag: I did a lot of extra training back then and it cut into my sleeping time. Now I have to teach and do patrols at night. All of you will have to learn better time management if you want to make it as pro heroes. A few seconds can be the difference between life and death, which means you should be studying instead of arguing.
Everyone: Yes Sensei.

Sir Nighteye
If we think about Nighteye's Foresight for a minute, how does it work?
Well the activation condition is touching the target and then making eye contact.
He can see their future second by second. After use, it takes 24 hours for him to be able to use it again. It was never shown and is highly unlikely that he can use his quirk on himself.
It was stated that the farther into the future he sees, the less precise the timing. It is also worth noting that after his fallout with All Might he stopped looking a long way into the future, indicating that he hadn't seen much in terms of far off events.
Now onto some of his predictions.
He foresaw that All Might would die 6 or 7 years in the future about 6 years ago. In other words, the year that these events take place or the next.
Then, he saw the henchmen from the yakuza give Eri the toy he brought for her. That particular event happened exactly as he saw it, as per usually occurs.
Then he predicted the both he and Deku would die, and that Overhaul would escape with Eri.
This was the first and only time his quirk was ever wrong. But why?
One possibility is that, as Nighteye said, everyone's hopes and energy were focused on Deku and that he was just so determined to change his own fate, that he actually did.
The second is that because Eri used her rewind quirk and, since both of their powers are time-related, that could have disrupted or changed what he foresaw.
The third is a little bit of a stretch, but it may have been possible that Nighteye was only seeing his own death.
Maybe his predictions only last as far as his own lifespan. It might make sense that he wouldn't be able to see a future in which he no longer existed.
He saw All Might's death within the time frame of his own. Same thing with Deku. He also stopped looking into the far away future. So maybe nothing could actually be changed in what he saw, but he just couldn't see any further than his own death.
Then again, he looked into Mirio's future and said that he would be the greatest hero right before he died (something that would definitely be past his lifespan) and that that was the only future that shouldn't change. However, he had already used his quirk earlier in the 24 hour timeframe, so that might just be Nighteye's wishful thinking.
He had foreseen Overhaul escaping with Eri and that had changed, so maybe I don't have a clue what I'm talking about and should just shut up.
Thoughts?

Really Annoying Things
Losing your glasses and not being able to find them, because you can't see.
Going to the store because you need something and buying random stuff that you see while you're there, then going home only to discover that you forgot to buy the thing you went to the store for in the first place.
Walking into a room to get something, then forgetting why you walked into the room. Then, going back to what you were doing before and remembering what you wanted to get. You walk back into the room....... and, forgetting it again.
Being so tired all day that you can barely stay awake, then going home and not being able to fall asleep.
Waking up 5 minutes before your alarm goes off.
Feel free to tell me anything else that irritates you. I can post it if you want.
