I was too lazy to bring a bunch of sand toys with us at the beach. I figured I had enough to carry already 😬. So they played with what we had on hand and what they found (sticks, rocks, etc.). They found so many utilities for these 2 water bottles! Why was I ever under the impression that they NEEDED sans toys? This is a popular beach with locals and almost no one else had sand toys. This is by far our new favorite beach! It is actually a shallow, sandy cenote, which is perfect for the little ones. My 3 youngest don’t usually swim in the waves but they spent the day in the water at this beach. The water is crystal clear, the sand is like flour and there are TONS of kids, music, churros, marquesitas and dulces. They are asking to go back today, that’s a sign they liked it. It was so hot outside, we‘d been walking for a least 45 minutes. B was tired and kept asking to go home. We then stumbled upon this amazing wall art. After being sick for almost a week, we had the most perfect day yesterday at @lazebratulum. It was such a treat after sooo many sleepless nights and non stop laundry haha! We had to put a halt on our explorations for a little bit because sickness got in the way. The five of us caught a stomach flu and aren’t feeling super well at the moment. We locked ourselves inside the house, sleeping, cuddling, watching movies and.... doing tons and tons of laundry. Thanks to our friend who brought us electrolyte drinks and crackers.

We LOVE these swings made of recycled tires! The kids have so much at this playground in the middle of Playa del Carmen. There are many workshops and classes you can subscribe to (yoga, aerial, dance, etc.) and a great restaurant too.
