I know we all have our shipping goggles on, understandably, (God knows I do, hah) and this isn't aimed at anyone specifically, but I do think conflating Blitzø’s worries about losing the book solely with losing Stolas takes away a little bit of the nuance (just as taking it at face value as only being about the book does).

Like, losing Stolas is absolutely a big part of the concern, those feelings are all enmeshed together - Blitzø’s sense of self worth being tied to what he can offer, what value he has, thinking Loona is right and Stolas is bored etc. - but we have to remember that having access to the book genuinely is important to Blitzø. It’s so vital to his business that he was willing to break into a Goetia's palace to steal it, after he's already been to prison for an undisclosed reason. We’re told a few times that imps don’t tend to start businesses, that Blitzø is building a name for himself etc. Blitzø lost everything in the circus fire, he’s had to build himself back from the ground up. Not only that, running a business is his dream, has been since he was a child, and you can tell he genuinley enjoys his work. His job is maybe the one thing in his life he’s assured about - that he knows he’s good at. If he loses I.M.P that’s another thing he’s fucked up, ruined, failed at - like always, like before, because he’ll never be good enough, because he ruins everything. The sheer panic he expresses when he thinks what he’s worked so hard for is going to be taken away from him is devastating.

Once he has the crystal it's then 'just' Stolas at stake, the gears start to shift - 'is it because I'm not fucking you good enough' - and then when Stolas begins his 'I want you to stay' spiel he starts to panic for other (feelings scary) reasons, and brings it back to sex - because of course it's just a sex thing, right? As he told us in the duet earlier, he hates it when things get complicated - I'll focus on the sexy stuff instead.

Of course, he cares about Stolas even though he tells himself he doesnt, but the book stuff is a huge deal, and we shouldn't forget that. Blitzø’s independence, his forging of his own path, his breaking the conventions of what is expected of imps are all super important to his relationship with Stolas - 'he taught me that I could choose', 'thank you for awakening me' - as well as thematically to the show itself.

To think all those happy moments with Ozzie outweighed so significantly in Fizz's mind that all the suffering he endured for 15 years (a huge chunk of which was unnecessary had he quit Mammon sooner ;_; ) that it was enough to say his life had been pretty great.
