Turning on boops was a mistake

This is ancient, but updated to include the golden and blue chickens. I had to completely re-do the chicken sprites so they all got updated.

You have to navigate to the Steam install location and in the characters folder, replace the chicken files. Don't forget to back up the old files somewhere.

*edit I am not interested in making them into content patches at this time*

Cucco Chicken Replacements

Here we go my first mod for Stardew Valey, Cuccos as chickens! Fun fact, the game uses the Baby White Chicken as the baby duckling. Anyway there are 6 xnb files in the folder, so you can pick and choose which chickens to change. or just change all of them. as always, be sure to backup the old files because these will change any chicken files in the folder.

3 to 2 Traits Project: Movie channels, Likeness by Trait

This is a mod in 3 parts Part 2: Movie Channels, Likeness by Trait. This is my first real 3t2 Trait mod. Using what I learned from the What's Good on TV Expanded mod, I added Trait Like value for the Freetime Movie channels. Looking into the Movie chanel files, the like value for 4 categories is determined by personality.

If a sim has 7 points or more in any personality they will like or love different stations Active sims will like/love Action movies Playful sims will like/ love Comedy Movies Outgoing sims will like/love Drama Movies Nice Sims will Dislike Spooky Movies Grumpy sims (less than 6 nice points) like/love Spooky movies, Other personality categories with less than 6 points will dislike the movie that is playing, and are more likely to leave.

Kids movies are tied to age, like the rest of the TV Channels.

No one actually Hates the movie channels, so I added that into some of the traits.

Hated traits are checked first, then Loved traits, then Liked and Disliked, and then the games personality system takes over.

When choosing the traits, I took into account what movie is already in the folder, and the genera of movies I personally use each folder for. I converted sims 4 movies and you can get them in this big folder HERE. The game will randomize the movie video if there's more than one in the folder, and then turn off the TV when its done.

3 to 2 Traits Project: What's good on TV (Expanded)

This is a mod in 3 parts Part 1: Original Hexagonal Bipyramid Trait Project 3-10 What's Good on TV Expansion. This is Base Game Compatible. This is also meant to Replace Hexagonal Bipyramid's original mod, since it includes what the original mod did and expands it.

I found out that the love/like/dislike/hate system of the sims 2 is just about how long they'll engage in an activity before they turn off the tv or leave the room.

I just realized all of my trait mods are probably bad. They aren't even looking for the right thing. I'm almost done fixing them, and hidden traits and flipflop traits will be added.

Wood Plantsim with Vines (Default)

I used use one of the Honey Honey Skins and combined it with my own generated Wood texture and some Plantsim Vines Resource to get Wood Plantsims. The overlay is transparent, so the Original skintone gives you some variation.

Sims 2 Stardew Valley Challenge

Toshiro Sim's Pelican Town from Stardew Valley as a neighborhood combined with the Planting Overhaul I came up with some gameplay rules to somewhat simulate playing Stardew Valley in the Sims 2.

Rules

Your sim cannot stay up past 2am. Once your sim is in bed, they cannot wake up until 6am.

If they happen to wake up for puke or pee or something and they are too awake to sleep, have them relax and not do anything until 6am.

If you need to do any maintenance on other households because of story progression, you can do it while your farmer is asleep, until 6am.

No Job! You left that life to connect with nature. Sources of income include:

Fishing 

Harvested produce

Found beach treasures

Digging for treasure. 

Any other crafts that you can get your hands on. 

You can sell the rocks and trees on your land for some cash in a pinch, but foraging and farming should be the primary sources of income.

After every season, at the beginning of the next, delete all current crops still in growing stages. . 

If there are some in harvest state you can still sell them.

Note down which seeds you still have left in your inventory. 

Save your game and switch out the seed folder for the current season folder.

Put a copy of the extra seed packages you noted down from the old season folder to the Winter folder. 

Put the winter folder in your Downloads so that your sim keeps their extra seeds.  

Sprinklers and ladybug houses are allowed if you can afford them. The greenhouse is not allowed to be used until Winter. 

The winter folder should have all the extra seeds that you noted down in rule 13. You can use those seeds in the greenhouse, but you are not allowed to buy more!

Once Winter is over, sell any un-used seeds and when you are switching out the seed folders delete all seeds in the Winter folder. 

No Gardener! Unless there is a default replacement that turns them into a Junimo blob, you don’t get help from a gardener. 

Romance whoever you want, Heck even WooHoo. But NO Try for Baby until the Level 3 milestone.

Guirnalda's Subtle Frozen Overlay with Ice Crystals on sim's fingers and toes. There's also a version that does not have the crystals, but still colder hands and feet.

Trait Report January 2024

Wow what a year. I'm not sure I even made 10 posts this year, so "top 10" wouldn't really be the top, its more like, all of my posts. But the biggest and best one by far has probably been the 3 to 2 traits tracker and the quite a few side trackers that came after it. If you check it now, the colors have been reset. I have banded sections of traits alternating colors. Adventurous is grey, Angler is white, Ambitious is grey etc. While doing this I noticed two things.

All 3 to 2 traits now have at least 1 mod!

There are quite a few traits that have 5 mods or less. some might even surprise you

I did get a real life full time job this last fall, so I'm not as chronically on tumblr or the sim-ternet as I once was but still tag me in the trait posts you find so I can keep the tracker updated.

3 to 2 traits project: Hobby Channel likeness by trait.

Merry Christmas everyone, here is a gift for you. The final part of my tv-based trait mods. This is an edit of the original 7 hobby channels by Sim of Manu with added trait checks. I have edited the like value logic of this mod to check for traits. The rest of the mod is there too untouched. I will just be providing the mod though, the folder structure and broadcast file you'll have to get from the Mod the Sims page. The mod is pretty great on its own, without traits I mainly started this because I wanted my technophobes to stop watching TV.

Step 1: on the original post download the mod with or without movie files (your preference)

Step 2: install broadcast.ini and the folders according to instructions

Step 3: Put my Hobby Channel Traits .package files into a section of your downloads folder instead of the original 7 channels .package files to have traits affect how much the sims love the channel.

Remember this only affects how long a sim will stay and watch before leaving the room or turning off the tv/change the channel. It doesn't necessarily dictate what they watch.

🐳 These paper plates slot to the placemat slot on tables. It should line up perfectly with the plates of food. 🦆 To change the swatch or move the plates around, click on the spork! 🐶 The middle of the plate is unclickable so you can pull food dishes and empty plates in and out easily. 🐷 This is a permanent place setting, and it will stay on the table til you delete it.

I extracted all the essence textures from MySims and converted them to png. They're seamless and can be easily used with the pattern tool in your graphics program. These could be used to recolor objects and clothing
