A long way to go (2011)
Copy pasted description from Deviantart:
"in my dreams, there are certain geographical places (which don't exist) which keep constantly popping up. not en every dream, of course, but in quite a bit of them, plus they all are dreams with different themes, but the same atmosphere. their identity and names are constant, how they look is not. for a long time, some of my dreams passed in and around the Northern pole (especially North Siberia, Nunavut, Alaska, but often quite different to how they look irl), where i can even point out certain dreamy places, in particular a cave that i'm gonna draw someday. a few nights ago, i had one of these dreams, but this time it passed near the Southern pole. i tend to have this "movie-like" vision in dreams, and this time i was with 2 unknown travelers goung through a massive range of mountains, obviously inspired in the Andes. but it was set more at the east, and Argentina&Chile (and probably most/the whole South America) seemed to not exist, it was a range in the middle of the ocean. i didn't know where does it start or finish, i was naturally on it as if it always existed, like today i live in the Andes withouth keeping its edges constantly in my mind. in the dream i didn't even wondered about them, i knew them. and at the west of it, there was a not-so-big white continent (like a small Antarctica) in the dream i knew it was obvoiusly inportant, now i don't know it was.
and PS: can you spot the three tiny travelers in the picture? they're not hard to find x)
i didn't get to know its name, but i really hope this place pops up again sometime in my dreams C: "
(busy and got to go, may clean it up later)

"Every summer" (2021)
I like the colors on this one, but they depict a very sad thing that happens every summer. Both naturally, but mostly due to human action.

Assorted That's Freedom Guyra pages, a comic I drew between 2007 and roughly 2014.
Seeing these pages again is immensely nostalgic. it reminds me of times where I had no other pressures or obligations than studying, and could afford to pour a really big amount of hours per page.
Which really brings me to miss these times. Not just because of having a LOT more free time, by itself, but because those times happened before I started talking to someone I've long cut any contact with.
I don't think this comic was particularly strong, plot wise, and it contained a lot of cringe (e.g. the characters unnecessarily swearing, like edgly teens). But honestly? I love it the way it is, with its imperfections and cringe. When I drew these pages, I wasn't thinking of whether the dialogue was good, I wasn't even thinking about the pages probably being too dark. I just drew what I liked, how I liked, and it was that. Some pages were still stressing, but they were my personal stress. And to this day, I'm incredibly fond of them.
I've been thinking about this comic again, and toying with the idea of, while I won't be finishing the comic, maybe give its script a good read again, and tell which few interested readers might remain the rest of the story. I would do this via a series of sketches and short descriptions. Just to give some closure to those who, bach then, used to look out for pages.
The Internet is a very different place nowadays, and I'm simply not as involved with social media as i used to be. I'm not regretting it.

"Try me" (2023-4)
Last OC painting of last year, and first into this one ^^ I have this small tradition, of making one last of them as a year closes.
This one was a coloring of a doodle I'd had laying around for literally months, and I ended up quite happy with it.
I've been quite busy, I hope you're all doing well!

"Run free" (2010)
African wild ass, a critically endangered species (ancestor to domestic donkeys) I've always found to be extremely interesting. I love the background, color and compositions, but the ass itself need some work, the facial anatomy especially. I still like this picture!

"That odd whitening birch" (February 2020)
Feeling exhausted, so
Speedpaint (30 min) based on a dream I had back then. A few days before in the evening, around 9.30 pm, the sky was still kinda light but everything was mostly in shadows (it was summer so looong days) I was coming back from my daily walk and, a few blocks away from my house, I saw a tiny animal run up a garden peach (?*)'s tree trunk. The tree is on a grassy corner, and I clearly saw a little animal, slightly bigger than a regular mouse, run it up. I wasn't sure if what I saw was a Monito del Monte, a relatively common but extremely shy and nocturnal marsupial. So I walked up close to the trunk, but the animal had to have crawled up away at that point, not helped by the fact this tree's upper branches are in touch with the branches of a much taller tree. Which is also in contact with more trees.
So, I couldn't see the animal up close, but, that night I dreamed about finding a super strange animal (which was real in the dream, but doesn't exist IRL. This happens aloooot in my dreams), following said animal, and it sneaking away at a mass of birch trees that's near one of the schools I work at, much further away in my city. I noticed one of the birches was bigger than the rest (IRL there is a mature trees stratum, plus a saplings stratum below), and its more external leaves were beggining to turn pure white. Due to dream logic, I knew right away that there was a tunnel underneath it, and naturally I got in it and saw some fascinating stuff inside. I won't narrate the dream, as it was pretty long and the visuals were insane, but wanted to make two paintings: one of the alrge birch, and some day, another of the bizarre landscappery inside the tunnel. (2024 note: I started that, and never finished. Maybe one of these days?)
* non-commercial peach tree? those garden trees that make teeny fruit. There's a bunch of them in my city, as well as several types of small plums, pears and apples. All small garden variety trees!

"Vanilla trees" (2018)
A quick painting, where I tried to replicate a scenery that appeared in a dream back then, where a pivotal scene took place somewhere under a bunch of bright yellow-leafed trees. They weren't autumn trees, but naturally colored like that. I don't remember whether the grass was green or yellow.
My dream scapes are, however, much richer and more vivid than my paintings could ever hope to be. I dream of pure scenery porn, haha- .

"Dreamlike places do exist" (2013)
Picture based on a really beautiful spot by Aluminé river. This rivr has a super cool and unique ecosystem by irts borders, which is why I've visited it many times, one of the most fascinating things IMO is an unique variety of Roble pellín (<i>Nothofagus obliqua</i>) that is very tolerant to arid conditions.
Not much else to say, other than i really enjoy the colors of this one!

Plant and fungal matter (2019)
Just a warm up I did a while after I took my students to a small observation trip in my town's surrounding forest.
I love checking dead or dying trunks, they're usually covered by all sorts of interesting things: moss, variety of fungi, lichens, multitude of bugs, and they often have tiny seedlings growing on then. I once found seedlings of 7 different species that i could recognise, growing on a tiny rotting trunk, it was super neato:(super low quality photos from my old phone, sorry. Deviantart has rotated them too 90°, for whatever reason).
This painting was very quick and simple, a warmup of sorts back then.

"The mysterious shack" (2020)
Concept art for my story, Claroscuro. This story is very dear to me, in which it's NOSTALGIC. While it's my first to incorporate paranormal elements (which I don't believe in), it's just the whole ambientation that resonates deeply with my own childhood. The graveyard setting also helps! I grew up in the Argentine North-east, and this takes place in the certer-north. All in all, spooky elements aside, it's a very nostalgic, atmospheric story, and it's very dear to me.

"Dust bath" (2014) and "Scratch, scratch" (2012)
When in doubt, I always enjoy drawing ats being silly!
Long time no post... I'm finishing Summer's break, and not at all eager to get back to work. On the positive side, if everything goes as planned, I should be maknig some important changes this year, and switching works over, to a new one where I'll make a bit less money, but will be far more satisfied. The change has already started, little by little: in addition to previous teaching work, I've gotten into university, where I'm mostly doing Investigation (I started in december). I want to take this further.
I hope you enjoy those! <3 I'll try to be more active as thingas go back to usual, even if I'll try my best for Work Switchover to happen as soon as possible (it will most likely take a few months though!)

"Grumpy, but loyal" (2021)
I have this tradition of sorts. Every year, I travel to my parents' house for the holidays. And while I'm there, I tend to do this pencil OC picture, the last art piece oft he year. This was done with a brand new color pencils box I got for Christmas 2021.
I wanna repeat this tradition this year, too!
And yeah, since this is an archive, my biggest difficulty updating tumblr is checking to make sure I don't upload the same picture twice, haha.

Hello! I hope you're all doing well.
I'm so, for the most part, but unfortunately the last few months I've had to lend a hand to my parents (who are both retired) due to a lot of big spendings happening all of a sudden: a couple of major house repairs (roof replacement included), as well as medicines, which are very expenssive. I live in Argentina, where the economy is unfortunately disasterous.
So yeah. Opening these to help myself reach the end of the month! These are simple and I can draw them very quickly, I also want to make them affordable: They'd be $20 for flat colors, and $ 25 with a simple shading as shown above.
I can do animals and humans/humanoids. payment method can be Paypal or Western union.
I know I'm not active anywhere as much as I used to (even though I have so much left to archieve, will go back to that as soon as I can!), but it really is lack of time more than anything else - and every social media site feeling super unstable all over... I feel I can never catch up anywhere haha.
Here you can see a few examples with my own OCs! Guyra, Resolana (from my novel Canallas), Sol (from ClarOscuro), the young Vizcacha and Fig, the burrowing parrot from Awka.
I will update both my comics soon!
Thank you in advance~
