now that I know Fig and Hollyhock hang I crave to see them in more situations

What kind of parties is Hollyhock getting Fig to attend? Do the parties have to have a merchant's fair kind of attachment to get him interested? Just love the kinds of situations these two are capable of lol

Basil probably has to hear of too many escapades he'd rather not know about lol

Hollyhock uses their connections to introduce Fig the plane-hopping smuggler to dumb rich demons at big fancy parties. In Fig gets business contacts (and scams the hell out of these idiots) and Hollyhock gets a cut of the profits in exchange (or at least a donation of blood). Hollyhock often has to help with Fig's little adventures/schemes with their magic know-how.

They have one of those business relationships where the more power one side accrues, the more the other side can get out of them. They also both claim it's strictly professional, but to be honest they both have a lot of fun from it. For two characters that find it hard to emotionally connect with others, it's nice feeling you're on the same side as someone.

But it does mean that Hollyhock has to begrudgingly dress Fig up in nice clothes and douse him in perfume to hide the musk smell.

And god, the stories Basil wish he's never heard!
