Fanfiction Friday Week 12

Back by popular (okay well, like 5 people) demand, behold the return of Fanfiction Friday!!! And for this week's offering I have a Gen Audiences fic rec. Did I spend hours going through my bookmarks and subs to find a non-explicit rec? Yes. Yes, I did. But as a result, I feel less like a degenerate and you get a great fic, so everyone wins!

Resonance by divine_blade Rated: Gen Audiences Wordcount: 5,134 Status: Complete Summary:

Shadow accompanies Sonic to see the aurora borealis. Trouble, as it is wont to do, follows.

This fic is set post Sonic Prime and I think it's got some of, if not the best, Prime characterization I've come across. The dialogue is on POINT. Really, it's natural and flows so well. There's enough detail given to the surroundings and setup that you fully understand what's happening and can imagine everything clearly, but not so much that it detracts for that yummy ooey gooey goodness of romantic tension between our two favorite idiots. This features touch starved Shadow, which is a common head canon I share, and a Sonic who once again needs saved. I'll let you read to figure out the rest but I think you'll be left feeling... warm and cozy 🥰

Sent Masks ch13 to my beta and have 1200 words down for ch14! 🥳 I'll plan on posting chapter 13 next Saturday 7/19 because that'll hopefully let me get 14 finished up in case I want to make last min changes (as I often do lol) Chapter 13 might be my personal favorite so far...
