————————————————————————
Your head rests in your hands, smiling devilishly towards your redhead. Your head crooked to the side, eyes never leaving him. While your boyfriend tries to keep his composure for the rest of the table, you are reveling in his uneasiness.
Everyone was sitting at the dining table, enjoying a nice meal after the news of the compass. However, you had other plans. See, it's been a while since you and Cal had had any "fun," and now that this was a good break point, it was your time to strike.
Throughout the day, your hands linger longer on his shoulders, his forearms, his back. He hadn't noticed it quite yet until you would look up to him, pupils dilated. He figured it out after lunch, but there was never a second you two were alone.
God, he needed you. Cal was also needing the sweet release of some fucking, and by GOD were you giving the signs. However, as the Jedi he was, he couldn't, especially nothing flirty in front of the others.
He frequently headed to the bathroom to try and relieve himself, but you would send someone to knock and "ask if he was okay." This pissed him off, and he was going to get you back.
Now, you were slowly creeping your foot further and further up his pant leg, reaching the middle of his thigh. Cal hangs his head to stare and eat his food, his hair just covering his tomato face. You smile, taking a bite of your own food.
"I think we call it a night," Cere states, finishing her plate. The table agrees, bidding each other a good night. Slowly, one by one, each person leaves until Bode has shut the dining room door. You and Cal stare at each other. You smile, blowing him a kiss as you stand up to take care of your plate.
"Leave it," He grumbles, standing up. You happily obliged, turning around and resting yourself against the table. Cal slips out of his chair and walks straight to you, his pupils taking over his eyes. Without any more words, Cal slams into you, his right hand holding your neck in place and his other hand pulling your waist into his. He attacks your lips, hungry. Your arms fly over his shoulders as you reciprocate the need. Your lips dance with one another, moans escaping both of your lips.
"Here?" You gasp out, trying to break away from him to catch your breath. He groans, attaching his lips to your neck. You moan out, you legs starting to feel like jelly. Once he feels you stumble slightly, he slowly backs up, admiring his work.
"Let's go," He says, giving you a small smile and stretching out his hand. You happily take it as he leads you out and towards his room.
————————————————————————
Thank god no one occupied the room next to Cal because you could not shut your mouth. Your body bounced up and down as Cal pounded into you, his dick feeling larger with each thrust. His hands gripped at your sides, trying to keep him in you for longer. Your hands were bent behind you, trying to balance on his knees. Your moan echoed throughout the room, the pleasure becoming so much more.
"Fuck, CAL!" You call out, feeling a knot in your stomach. He looked up at you, smirking widely.
"You ride so well, (Y/N)." He groans, his eyes never leaving your face. He scans your body, taking in every inch of you. This was a sight to remember.
"I'm gunna-" You start until you feel yourself being moved off. Cal picks you up by the thighs and tosses you to the side. Confused, the knot fades instantly, and you give your boyfriend a question glance. He gets out of bed and stands up.
"What the fuck, Cal?" You glare up at him, clearly not done. He chuckles and beckons you over to him. Crawling over, you take a seat at the edge of the bed.
"Stand, sweetheart." He commands, slowly blinking towards you. You do so, and in no time, his hands fly around your waist. "Jump,"
Confused, but you obliged and he hoists you into the air. You practically sit in his grasp as he turns your back towards the wall and rests you there. And then he slides right back in.
“Fuck, wait — shit. Mm— fuck. Wh-where did you learn to do that?” You call out, your fingers nails trying to grasp onto his back. Your head rests in the crook of his neck, taking all of the pleasure in.
“Well, the noises you make are a pretty good indication of how you like it.” Cal chuckles, continuing to plow into you.
“…God you sound so fucking cocky right now and it’s turning me on even more.”
"Good girl~ Is this going to make you cum?" He whispers in your ear, quickening his pace. You couldn't even answer him because the only thought in your brain was to moan and gasp for breath. It felt so good and holy shit you were not going to last long.
After some more thrusts, you feel the knot form, causing you to squirm in pleasure. Cal takes one of his hands to hold your neck and head against the wall, forcing eye contact.
"Baby, cum," He states, sending you over the edge. You felt yourself release on him, as he grunted and groaned into your ear. Waves of pleasure fell over you, and more as you felt your boyfriend fill you up. He holds you against the wall as you both catch your breathe.
Slowly, he crouches down to let you down, but as soon as you try to apply pressure to your foot, you leg gives out. Cal scoops you up quickly, chuckling.
"Damn, that was amazing," You breath out, reaching your arms around his shoulders as he carries you back over to the bed. He hums, a smile covering his face. He slowly drops you down onto the bed and crawls in next to you.
"You are such a tease, (Y/N)." He laughs, letting you snuggle right up next to him.
"Yeah, and it leads to stuff like this, so definitely worth it." You mumble into him, exhaustion overcoming you. Cal softly drags his fingers back and forth on your back, lulling you to sleep. You two had to do that again. He smiles to himself as he also drifts off.

See You Later
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: Cal ends up being one of the causalities to the Ninth Sister.
Word Count: 1.4k
Warnings: Death, cussing, mention of blood, bullets
A/N: GET THE TISSUES, apologies,
Prompt: “Hey, at least I loved you till my very last breath, right? Like I had promised.”
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
You sit beside Gabs, making small talk about dinner plans as you wait for Cal and Bode to finish interrogating the Senator. You and Gabs exchange many smiles and laughs, starting to share inside jokes.
You and Cal have been with this crew for a while, which happily surprised both of you. You haven't had a stable crew for a hot minute and were happy falling into a better routine with people you cared about and trusted.
This was the same crew that showed you and Cal how DESPERATELY in love you two were and finally just locked you in the ship's bathroom until you told each other. It was one of the twin's ideas, but they wouldn't tell you which one. Since then, you and Cal have been all over each other. It's been a few years since your first kiss, and things have been running smoothly, relationship-wise.
You fell in love with him more and more each day, especially since you both live a life-or-death type of lifestyle. You never know when your last day is with each other, so you make each one count.
Senator Daho Sejan sulks behind Cal and Bode, one smiling back at the girls and one giving a quick small grin. You nod to your boyfriend, knowing he isn't in realization mode just yet.
"I'm thinking we make your famous stew, (Y/N)," Gabs smiles, slinging an arm around you as you make your way toward the front of the ship. You laugh, reciprocating the friendly gesture. Cal's eyes lighten up by Gabs's words.
"Oh, we definitely should stop by the market then," Cal smiles, catching up to you. He slings an arm on your free shoulder, placing a kiss on your temple.
Of course, any nice moment in your life had to be interrupted by an explosion. Unfortunately, this one was too close for comfort. Boxes of ammo and weapons exploded in front of the crew, launching everyone backward. Everyone equips their weapons, waiting for disaster. A large ship lands just feet away from you as everyone branches themselves behind some intact boxes. Breathing heavily, you, Cal, and Gabs look at one another, the color leaving everyone's faces.
Bright lights shine down onto the crowd. You and Cal throw up your hands, trying to block the light, but keep a hand on your sabers, ready. Three ships enter your line of sight, one slowly lowering to land on the platform in front of you. The Senator takes this as a moment to shake his way in front of the crowd.
"What took you so long?" He cries out, stomping his way up towards the shadowy figure slowly emerging from the ship. "While you've been chasing shadows, I have been-" A burst of red light appears and in an instant, lands on the Senator. No, pierces through the Senator. Cal takes his free hand to push you behind him, watching the Senator slowly be dragged to the dark figure.
The figure grabs the Senator by the shoulder, hoisting him up. The red light from the saber illuminates their face.
"The Ninth Sister..." Gabs whispers out, pain and anger behind those words.
"You've been caught harboring a traitor," She says, clutching onto his shoulder harder. The Senator doesn't flinch, probably already dead. He retracts her saber back into her hand, flinging the corpse to the side. She turns to the group, both you and Cal in fighting stances.
"KESTIS!" She calls out to your boyfriend. He doesn't move a muscle but trying to Force you behind him. Confused, you try to push up next to him.
"Together," You state, making sure the rest of the crew was safe.
"Take care of everyone else," He frowns, glaring daggers at the beast. "She's mine." You nod, trusting your boyfriend.
"OPEN FIRE!" She calls out. In an instant, bullets are whizzing past your head as you duck for shelter. The twins call out and go charging before Cal can stop them. You turn to your right, reflecting bullets from one of the ships that were aimed at Gabs.
"GET INSIDE!" You call out to her. You dare peek to the ship seeing the boys trying to fire at the ship, but with the amount of armor, deemed a bit useless. As she stands up to move, she yells out. You don't hear what has been said, but feel her tackle over you. Two bullets graze way too close to your ear as you both fall onto the floor.
"Thanks G-" You choke. Gab's eyes aren't filled with light, the corner of her torso burnt and bloodied. You scream out, tears brimming your eyes.
Cal watches the scene play out as he also deflects bullets. In a fit a rage, he runs towards the Inquisitor. Everyone is screaming for him to get back, it's not worth it, yada yada. All you could hear was the two sabers bouncing off each other. Time seemed to have stopped, and this overwhelming coldness drifted over your body. Bullets flew past you, surprisingly, not hitting you at all. It wasn't until Bode pulled you back into him that you came back to reality.
The reality of a bright red light.
The reality of that light illuminating through Cal's chest.
Without much thought, you snatch Bode's gun and take two shots at the Inquisitor's head. Unfortunately, one bounces away, and one only skims her ear. She calls out in pain, retracting her saber and fleeing.
Cal's legs have yet to give out, but are so bent they're practically on the floor already. You drop the blaster and run. You've never ran so hard in your life, you thought your lungs were going to fly out of your back. Sliding up to your boyfriend, he collapses into your touch. You vision is blurred from tears as you brush his hair out of his face. It was wet with sweat.
His breathing is ragged and unsteady. His eyes are wide and staring up at yours. You look to his torso, but the sight only makes your cry out harder.
"(Y/N)," He whispers, shakingly reaching a hand up to your face. Tears pour down your face, watching the life slowly leave the redhead.
"No, Cal," You sob out, holding him tightly in your lap. "You can't leave, not now, not ever. I love you." Your lips quiver, your hands shake. His eyes start to roll back then focus on and off. "PLEASE!"
“Hey, at least I loved you till my very last breath, right? Like I had promised.” Cal smiles weakly, dibbles of blood coming out of the corners of his mouth. "I love you, do what needs to be done." And with that, he becomes cool to the touch.
Your sobs echo through the space. Your chest becomes heavy, your eyelids droopy, your face and lips chapped. You hold him tightly, bringing your face down to his, resting your forehead on his.
Bode and Bravo watch, arms crossed and winced. It took all of their willpower to start the dreaded walk over. To make it real, and not a shitty part of the show. Bode tried to separate you two but you kicked and screamed like a toddler. When he was finally able to separate you, you flung yourself into his embrace, wheezing and hiccuping from the lack of oxygen. Bravo picked up who used to be Cal, and followed you two to the ship.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You place a singular petal on Cal's chest. Bode and Bravo helped you set up proper burials for those who had died, and they left you to be alone with Cal for one last time. You shakingly place his light saber across him, letting one of his hands rest ontop of it. You stare at him, his face abnormally white, the freckles stood out even more. His hair was pushed out of his face, and his nose seemed more crooked than ever before. His eye bags had sunken in, as if he was ready for the best sleep of his life.
Leaning down, you place a long kiss to his forehead. And with that, you took a match and lit underneath the table. You couldn't bear to watch.
"See you soon," You hiccup out, trying to hold it together. Slowly, you turn around and head back towards the ship.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A/N: Great, now I'm depressed.

Pretty Boy
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: In the midst of intense training, Cal’s usually hilarious banter turns into a confession.
Word Count: 800
Warnings: Chaotic in a good way, cussing
A/N: Sorry for the infrequent posts, school has been taking most of my time, and I'll post when I can. I do have all of your requests drafted up and I just need to type them out. I haven't forgotten about you lovely people!
Prompt: “…Wait a second, this isn’t how I wanted things to go. What the hell?” “That’s the worst confession I’ve heard in a while.”
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
Sweat pours down the Jedi's face, raising his lightsaber to block once more. His eyebrows furrow, his lips tighten by the edges; she was getting much better at this. Striking his saber down, he takes a large jump backwards, his hair striking his freckled forehead. Small strands stick to his face as he quickly flicks them away. His eyes look to hers, a very noticeable frown portrayed.
His sparing partner seemed to be effortlessly whooping his ass. Her hair not once flying into her face, her eyes constantly trained onto him, the playing field, the deadly weapons in the vicinity. She wasn't rubbing it in his face, per say, but Cal was usually the one outsmarting his friend. Friend? Is that the right term? What was she? Who was she to him? Only the sound of her lightsaber retracting let him out of his trance.
"You seem out of it," She states, placing a hand on her hip. "You're usually trying to make some witty remarks, but I've almost cut your face like three times." Cal retracts his saber as well.
"My bad," Cal rubs the back of neck, his eyes never leaving his dirt covered shoes. "Lost in thought," She only hums, taking a few steps closer to him. He can physically hear his heartbeat as if it was trying to escape the jail cell that was his rib cage. His ears burn, feeling exposed. His body seems to move faster than his brain, as he takes a huge jump backwards, whipping out his saber in a ready position. This catches his friend off guard, her hand shadowing over her own saber.
"Let's get to it, shall we?" He taunts, taking a swing at her. In the blink of an eye, she counters, knocking the sabers off to the side as she dodges.
"Of course, the hit and run," He smiles, his ears still on fire. What was he saying? Why was he talking? Small giggles erupt from the other Jedi, causing Cal's breath to hitch. Sensing his hesitation, she takes a jab at him. Now it was Cal's turn to hit and run.
"You see, copying is the biggest for of flattery, Cal." She smiles, wasting no time to swipe at his feet. He jumps backwards, inching closer and closer to the wall of the practice arena. "You scared, pretty boy?"
"Oh, I'm pretty now?" WTF WAS THAT, CAL? Now his entire face felt flush and hot, but the pretty girl did indeed let out another giggle. However, it's less enticing when she's practically backing him up against the wall of the arena.
"Of course, you got the hair, the freckles, the smile, and you're one of the last Jedi. You're a ladies' man, Cal-i." She smiles. He lifts up his saber to block her oncoming one, but she drops her own quickly and uses the Force to knock his out of his hand. It flies across the dirt, leaving Cal defenseless. She raises her saber, hovering a few inches away from Cal's throat. The heat of the saber warming both of their faces, one smirking, one flabbergasted. "Any last words?"
"If I'm pretty, then you must be handsome," Cal panicked. The already quiet room seemed to now have gone more silent.
"... What?" She laughs, retracting her saber, clearly having won the duel.
"No, not handsome, the other word," Cal retraces, refusing to meet her confused gaze.
"Am I the pretty one?" She asks, crossing her arms across her chest, the smirk never once leaving her face.
"Obviously, but you're so much more than that," He stumbles over his words, trying to get him out of this situation. “…Wait a second, this isn’t how I wanted things to go. What the hell?”
“That’s the worst confession I’ve heard in a while.” She laughs, lightly punching his tense arm. If his face could turn redder, it did in that moment. "I stand by my statement of you're pretty, ya know." Cal just blinks, and his jaw drops slightly.
"Oh," was the only word he could muster. She smiles, watching the realization slowly dawn on him. Like a tidal wave crashing over him, confidence surges through his body as he extends his arms and drapes them around the other Jedi's waist.
"So forward," She smiles, looking up at the redhead, as if she was waiting for him. With the goofiest grin, Cal leans down, closing the gap between them for a much-deserved kiss. They part ways, taking in the freshest breath they've ever had.
"Come on, pretty boy, you look exhausted. Let's get some rest before Cere asks us to go do something more productive." Locking hands with the man, they walk towards the door, a pip in his step as they went along.

Golden
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: The scene where everyone is enjoying the night by the campfire, in bliss. One by one someone leaves, leaving a smitten Cal staring at what the sunset is illuminating.
Word Count: 600
Warnings: Nah, she precious, she cute
A/N: To make up for a long time of nothing, I'll post some more today!
Prompt: The evening sun is falling on their face and she thinks maybe, just maybe, she is a little bit in love with them.
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
Drinks get passed around the group, filling the evening air with chatter. The compass was finally in your grasp! You laid back against a large rock, it cool to your back, while the fire kept your front toasty. You couldn't remember a time where your shoulders weren't locked up, where your back didn't ache with every movement, nor when your feet would cramp after a long day. Bringing up the cup to your lips, you take a long and well-deserved sip, the flavor of Greez's famous tea really hitting you in the back of the throat. The small grin never vanished as your eyes danced to every person who joined with you at the campfire. Cere and Caldova chattered about the future of the Hidden Path, the corners of their mouths almost reaching their cheeks. Merrin sits happily content on top of a rock, staring deeply into the flames. She doesn't have a smile, but she looks equally relaxed. Cal and Bode chat and laugh heartily together, exchanging stories and hopes for the future. Greez walks back to the group, a few more tea cups in hand.
"I got more drinks! Who wants one?" He smiles, holding up three drinks with his hands. Cere and Caldova happily take another, inviting Greez into their conversation. Merrin is the first to stand and wish the group a good rest of the evening. She leans down beside you, resting her hand on your shoulder.
"Rest easy," She smiles, patting your shoulder. You place a hand over hers.
"You as well," She nods, walking towards the door. You turn your attention towards the horizon. The bright star that this planet uses as the sun is hovering over the land, illuminating the sky in all different shades of yellow and orange. A particular man's head is also next to the beautiful scene, maybe even more enticing than staring at the sky. His hair practically shines from the rays, highlighting his complexion. The slight breeze pushes his locks off his neck, and a few strands dance in the wind. The lower the sun starts to go down, the redder his hair becomes. His eyes shine from the sunset, but the light doesn't seem to bother him at all. It's like he's allowing the light to bounce and make them sparkle.
Bode must have said something funny, causing Cal to give a laugh. Your chest seems to flutter. The way his eyes crinkle on the sides of his face, the way his nose scrunches and makes room for his lips to part and widen, the way his face reddens, making his freckles perfectly season his face, the way he bares his teeth, not afraid to laugh to his heart's content. His toned arms grasp his torso, trying but failing to hold himself together.
You feel like you could just melt into a puddle right then and there, but as the last little sliver of sunlight peaks over the desert mounds, Bode stands and leaves to go inside. You and Cal wish him a good night, your attention back on the red-head. His head is positioned perfectly in front of the last bit of sun, creating a halo around his face. And, of course, he had to just smile at you. Your lips seem to smile back, but they feel like jelly. He stands and makes his way over to you, and all you could do was watch. He kisses his palm and places his hand on top of your head.
"Sleep well," He smiles, walking past you. Your face feels as if it erupted in flames. You did in fact, sleep well.

Hello there! I was wondering if you were taking any requests? I've read your Cal Kestis stories and they are really good! So I was wondering if I could request one? If so may I please request a story in which Cal is forced to watch the reader getting captured and stops at nothing to save them? Then at the end it's all fluffy and cute. Sorry I'm a sucker for these stories. Thank you for your time!
Backstabber
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: After Bode’s betrayal, Bode takes the reader against her will, leaving Cal mortified and restless. He does everything in his power to get her back.
Word Count: 1.5k
Warnings: Mentions of blood, gun close/pointed at you, bitch boy Bode
A/N: My first request! Thank you for sending it in, and sorry it took so long. Feel free to send any in, but for right now I’ll just be sticking to Cal. Hopefully in the future once I figure out how to use Tumblr more I can feel more comfortable branching out and stuff like that. For now, enjoy!
Prompt: Request
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
You head towards the archives room, and surprisingly, well rested. Everything was actually going alright for once; you actually slept well and woke up smiling like an idiot. Cal actually slept well too, which bettered both of your moods.
It made you extremely happy that your boyfriend actually found a way to properly rest. Sure, he could relax with you, but this sort of relief was something you’ve never seen
You had the compass, you had fantastic friends that supported you, and you found a way to a place you’ll finally feel safe in; a home.
Practically bouncing into the room, Cere caught your eye and gave you a grin.
“Someone is happy~” she giggled, wiggling her eyebrows. Rolling you eyes, you shoved her arm lightly, causing you both to laugh. Merrin walks up to you from a nearby hallway.
“Good morning,” she states. She also seemed in a much better mood. It felt like sunshine was radiating in the entire facility. You knew what it was, hope.
You three chit chatted as more and more people came, Bode being the last to arrive. You have him a quick and formerly wave, but he walked right up next to you, a blank stare coated on his face.
“Sleep alright?” You ask, patting his back lightly. He hums, looking at his watch. Weird. You turn your attention back to the lively group.
A radar sound erupts from the speakers above, shutting the group up.
"How?" Cere mumbles under her breath. Your hand rests to your lightsaber by your side, giving a worried expression towards Merrin. As everyone starts to scramble a plan together, you feel a hard, cold metal press to your side. Raising an eyebrow, you turn your head to the source.
"Bode?" You question, trying to step off to the side. His free hand clasps your shoulder, causing you to yelp. As soon as everyone turns to face you, your lightsaber flies from your side and off to the other side of the room. Merrin's hands erupt into green flames and the other Jedis bring out their lightsabers.
"No sudden movements," Bode glares to the group, pulling you back and closer to him. Panic washes over your body, how did your lightsaber just fly away? Cal looks paler than snow, even his freckles disappear.
"Bode... Please..." Cal takes a small step towards the man. Bode brings the blaster up to your head, pressing it hard into your temple, causing you to wince. The redhead stops, his hands obviously shaking.
"The compass?" Bode turns his attention to Cordova, who helplessly holds the object with both his hands. The old man frowns, clearly unable to figure out what to do.
"Don't, Cardova." The metal presses harder onto your head, shutting your eyes in pain. Cere calls out to Merrin to stand down and take care of the troopers. With many seconds of hesitation, she follows the order.
Cal can't hear anything; he can only feel. The tightness of his chest, the shortness of his breath, the rapid beating of his heart, the warmth draining away. The one thing he didn't want anyone to harm, to take away from him, was in danger. Bringing as much energy back to his arm, he slowly reaches for his lightsaber, never breaking eye contact with you. His light eyes wide with panic, and yours begging not to do anything irrational. Bode seemed to sense the danger about to be imposed to him, and there was a blast.
You took the deepest breath you ever could, but the pain never came. The metal seemed to release and reconnect, burning hot. You didn't care, you watched as your older friend fell to the ground, his eyes as wide as saucers. Cere gasps, rushing to him. It was as if time slowed down; Cardova's knees collided with the ground, launching his upper body forward and down to the ground. His grip loosened, sending the compass rolling towards you. Keeping the blaster on you, Bode bends down and scoops it up.
Cal's instincts kicked in and his pupils disappeared. All there was was rage, a rage to fuel the bright star in all the galaxies. Bode shoves the compass into your hands and directs you both towards the door.
"You run, or Cere and Merrin die." Bode snaps at you. Without much thought, your legs kicked into gear. You knew he couldn't just kill Cal, that's why he didn't threaten him, right? And you couldn't do that to your best friends. Shouting and gun fire echoed through the halls as Bode dragged you towards a speeder.
"(Y/N)!" Cal calls, following close behind. You try to get out of Bode's reach, but he shoots a laser an inch from your foot: a warning shot.
You promised to live, for Cal, for your friends, for the Republic. You thought that's what Bode wanted to. He shoves you on, grabbing the compass from you and shoving it in his pocket. Without much warning, he takes off, causing you to grasp onto his jacket for dear life.
"WHY ME?" You call out, constantly looking behind to watch your boyfriend trying to catch up. His face is red, sweat beading down his face.
"Who else will help train my daughter? She needs the best," He calmly states, launching the speeder over a rock.
"Your daughter?!" You call out in rage. "When she finds out how I became her teacher-"
"YOU WILL DIE THEN!" He turns to face you, bearing his teeth. His eyes are of a wild animal's, instinct, rage, survival. You pursed your lips, looking behind to see Cal catching up.
You were not normally scared, but this was a first of someone so close to you had betrayed you. Suddenly, a rock from the cliffside above falls in front of you, blocking the path. You knew it was Cal. Bode screams out profanities, taking a different turn.
Cal's hair is either plastered to his forehead or flying in the wind behind him. His body was shaking, he hands slipping off the handles of the speedster. The was only a few thoughts in your boyfriend's head: (Y/N), Betrayal, Bode. He couldn't lose you; of all people to lose, he just COULDN'T lose you too. You were practically his other half, the calm to the storm of his life. He told Bode how much he loved you, that he wanted a future with you, to help those around you, and he just took you. The wind slapped him in the face in all directions but he didn't care. His eyes were trained to the back of your head, then your face when you would turn around. He finally lost it when he saw tears brimming in your eyes. He risked everything reaching out his hand and commanding the speeder to slam on the brakes.
You and Bode flung forward, staying on the speedster. You immediately followed Cal's lead and commanded the speedster to stop. Bode tried but failed to get it going, he turned around and held the blaster to your forehead.
"It's not me, I swear." You cry out, scrunching your eyelids together. You heard another shot, but this time a couple of rocks exploded beside you. Opening your eyes, you see Bode's bewilderment of his gun directed the wrong way. He looks up, facing Cal, lightsaber in hand. Bode pushes you off the speedster onto the ground, sand flying in your face.
"CAL!" Bode calls out, a red light erupting from his side. Both you and the redhead stare in disbelief. Suddenly, a force so strong clasps around your neck, causing you to gasp for air. You look towards your captor, who has his hand reached out, lifting it towards the sky. You begin to levitate off the ground, your hands reaching for your throat. Cal yells a blood-curdling scream and charges the Sith. Then, you're flying towards the cliffside. Your last sight was Bode switching his attention towards your boyfriend, who was about to strike.
————————————————————————
Slowly blinking your eyes, the first thing you could feel was the pounding sensation in your head. From what you could see when you did open your eyes was a handsome redhead covered in blood. Ignoring your pain, you snapped up, staring at Cal. His face was dripping with blood, both fresh and dried. He was smiling, the color returning to his face.
"Are you okay?" You ask, bring your hand up to his busted lip. He winces but nods, tears finally falling down his cheeks. He sniffles, trying to dry them, but you beat him to it.
"I couldn't lose you," He whispers, just staring at your face. You reach up to him, embracing him in a tight hug.
"You didn't, you'd never," You respond, rubbing his back. You part, giving each other long, meaningful stares, soft smiles plastered on your faces.
"He got away," Cal grumbles, brushing his hand to your temple, causing your head to ache even more. You wince.
"But we're alive," You sigh. Cal leans down, meeting his chapped and kind of bloody lips to yours. It was a simple, thank goodness your still here, but I don't want you to taste blood, kiss.
"Come on, we got to check on Cere and Merrin," He reaches for your hand, bringing you both up to your feet. His fingers intertwine with your for a brief moment before you both jog towards his speedster.

Quiet Nights
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: Cal has a dream that totally goes against the Jedi code. During his panic, you come to check on him and find him in a comprisable position.
Word Count: 2.7k
Warnings: ITS SMUT TIME FOLKS, 18+, oral f! receiving, no condom, cussing, choking (duh the force?)
A/N: Delicious, I drank a full 32 oz of water after this
Prompt: Imagine your OTP where one of them had a dream about the other person and tries to act normal, but fails miserably, so the other one notices and gets curious about what the dream was about.
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
You yawn, filling up your cup with water from the bathroom sink. You gulp it down, refreshing you as much as a glass of water at 3:34 am could. It was nice having a bigger bathroom; you're used to the small Mantis bathroom instead of this spacious one on Jedah. You, Cal, Bode, and Greez have arrived to the Hidden Path's base to touch base with Cere and learn more about this Tanalorr place. It seemed intriguing, but you were still on the fence if such a place could even exist.
Now here you stand, staring yourself down in the mirror, filling up another glass of water. As soon as you turn off the tap, a very faint and quiet noise echoes throughout the halls. Curious, you open the door, the noise just becoming ever so slightly louder. Time to investigate!
---
Cal twists and turns in his guest bed, his entire upper body reddened. Soft moans escape his lips. He was burning, and he couldn't bring himself to wake up. Hell, he didn't want to wake up. This was the best dream he had ever had!
You had surprised him with a night for just the two of you, walking through the forests on a planet he could not name. The trees towered above you, vibrant with their green leaves. They bring in just enough light to highlight the rugged dirt path. You both were holding hands, just enjoying each other presence. Now, the dream changed, and it most definitely explains Cal's reddened complexion as he lies in bed.
You're now hovering over him, in a beautiful matching set, perfectly complementing your skin tone. Lace runs up and down your body, showing off your curves and parts that Cal only wishes he could actually touch. You leaned in for a passionate kiss, straddling the man. He could basically feel you in his subconscious.
---
The sounds started to become louder the closer you got to you and the guest bedroom next door. Who was staying in there again? Is that Cal? You tip toe up to the door, placing an ear beside it. Yep, that's him, is he alright? You knock quietly, waiting for a response. The response never came. You knock a bit louder this time. A gasp fills the room, as well as some frantic shuffling.
"Cal?" You whisper to the door, the shuffling stopping immediately. "Are you alright?"
"Come in," He blurted, immediately regretting it. You hesitantly open the door, the light from the hallway showing a line of brightness on the man. He's sitting against the headboard, the blankets ruffled around his crotch and legs.
"Nightmares?" You ask, taking a step in and quietly closing the door behind you. "Would you like to talk about it?" You squint your eyes to get a better look at him, your eyes still adjusting to the dark. His are as wide as possible, extremely dilated from the darkness and the dream.
"I'm okay, thanks for checking, goodnight." He rambles, trying to sink into his bed. This only makes you more curious. As you eyes get more adjusted, you notice that his cheeks match his hair.
"Oh," You realize, blushing as well. "My apologizes." You giggle, taking a seat at the foot of the bed. "Who?" Cal just blinks.
"What?"
"Who was it! Mr. Jedi, Mr. I can't ever think about another person in a romantic or sexual way." You tease, playfully hitting his foot. He purses his lips together, causing your grin to only become greater. "Oh, come on Cal! This is big! Who?"
"Why is it so important?" He grumbles, crossing his arms across his chest.
"Oh my god, do I know them?" You cross your legs, fully facing the clearly embarrassed Jedi. He rolls his eyes, but the redness only darkens and spreads. You giggle gleefully. You hum, trying to think of who it could be.
You really hoped it was you. For months you've been trying to hint to him about your feelings, sometimes very vague, but other times very blunt. The rest of the crew caught on immediately, but the gears in Cal's brain just didn't seem to click. You've tried asking about dating and his romantic life, but he always brought up the Jedi Code, making your want for him only increase. You've had dreams, dreams of you being together, living through the rebellion, being together, domestically and intimately.
You're expression must softened as you were thinking because Cal coughed to get your attention. Now it was your turn to blush.
"You going to guess or let me go back to sleep?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. Now, you had a choice. Respect his want to go back to bed and continue about life, or be VERY BLUNT. You were tired, so there was only one right option.
"Was it me?" You ask, glancing around the room, trying to not meet his gaze. Cal's breath hitched, the blanket becoming too hot for his body. From the lack of response, you also started to heat up, clearing your throat. From the lack of response, you could only assume it was you. You. YOU?
You whip your head to face him, locking eyes. You... He wanted... you. You honestly couldn't believe it.
"Was it just a dream?" You mumble, Cal giving a questioning expression as you shift in your seated position. "Or do you actually have feelings?" You vulnerability seemed to easy Cal a bit, noticing how uncomfortable you were. He wanted to say the truth, but he didn't want to make it weird. Would it be weird? Eh, tonight was the "going for it" kinda night.
"Months." He simply states, trying to relax against his headboard. You perked your head up from your gaze into your lap. You cheeks redden, your breathing quickens, and something feels, different. The atmosphere feels intoxicating, but in a you shouldn't leave way. With the prolonged eye contact, you feel ass if Cal notices the feeling as well. You notice his hand are now at his sides, and there's an obvious lump by his lap. That weird feeling starts from your stomach and falls down your body, closer to your belly button.
"Months?" You repeat, raising an eyebrow. He purses his lips and nods. You hum. "Well..." You both grow silent, quiet. This had to be the quietest you too had ever been with each other. You waited for each other to make a move, but in all honesty, Cal was too vulnerable, physically. You start to feel the awkwardness subside and you feel yourself giggle.
"Hey, it's not funny." Cal frowns, while you shake your head.
"No, of course not." You compose yourself, scooting closer to the red head. "It's funny that we are telling each other we like each other with your dick out." Cal's face reddens completely, trying to compose himself as he places his hands over his lap. You outstretch your arms, pushing his hands away, causing the freckled man's eyes to widen dramatically. "Need any help?"
Cal practically springs up at you, locking your lips together in the most "I need you" kiss you've ever experienced. It was HOT. Like, you already started to sweat as your tongues fought each other. You needed him, you needed him so badly. He could feel that need from you, he wanted to provide that for you more than his dreams ever could. He pulled your up and into his lap, never once breaking the kiss. Your clit brushes against him, causing you to quiver in pleasure. He notices your movements and moves your hips back and forth on him, earning himself a quiet moan from you. He chuckles, retracting his lips from yours and goes for your neck. Your arms are around his shoulders, dragging your fingertips through his hair. You continue to moan and gasp into his ear, trying to stay quiet.
"You're wearing too many clothes for this," He comments, lifting the bottom of your shirt. You instantly comply, throwing it over your head and onto the floor. He goes back for your lips as you also tug on his shirt.
"Match?" You ask, giving him a small smile. He gladly follows through with your request, throwing his shirt toward yours. Your eyes wander down to his toned chest, scars and freckles decorating his body. You feel a fluttering sensation down there.
"Well if we're going to match you need that all off." He motions to the rest of your body, causing your to giggle and raise an eyebrow.
"You dont wear pants to bed, but a shirt?"
"Hey, my arms get cold. Allow me," He states going back in for a kiss. You immediately deepen it, allowing his tongue into your mouth to explore. All the while he waves his hand and your bra unclasps. Startled you pull away.
"Force?" You ask, tossing your bra away. He smiles, nodding, staring at you. He's never seen you like this, and boy was he going to enjoy and savor it. "Well, what else can you do?" He picks you up and slides you to be propped up where he once was, with the blanket still covering his lower half. He hooks his thumbs into the waistband of your shorts, but before he does any more, he looks up at you. This causes your to blush, appreciative of the asking for permission. The knot in your core only tightens, god he was hot. Nodding, he slips them down with ease, along with your underwear. He crawls up to your face, giving you more kisses. He starts to trail down your body, more moans and gasps leaving you as he goes over your bare body. Finally he reaches below your belly button. He places light kisses to your thighs as he opens your legs with his free hand. You're practically dripping with anticipation by this point. He continues to kiss you, going closer to your inner thighs and to your opening. Propping your legs open with his body and arm, he proceeds to trail more and more kisses closer and closer.
Your arms are clutching the sheets by your sides, the amount of pleasure awaiting you but just out of your reach. The amount of teasing is excruciating; you need him. You moan louder and louder the closer he gets to your clit. Then, he proceeds to rub his tongue around your clit in circles. Your breathing hitches and becomes irregular.
"Fuck-" You cry out, making Cal only want to do more things to you. You were already so wet that he easily slid a finger into you, causing you to moan. He pumps in and out of you, slowly, making sure to curl his fingers up into you. How he knew how to do this you'll never understand, but holy shit was he doing a good job. He slides in another finger, starting to pick up the pace. Your hips start to have a mind of their own, fighting against him to push him deeper.
"Tell me," he states, looking up at you. His chin is glistening with you, his eyes so dilated they were almost black. His mouth hung open slightly, totally getting off to pleasing you.
"Deeper," You whine, and he grants your wish. He pushes deeper into you, causing you to whine out in pleasure.
"Holy Shit, Cal," You cry out, breathing erratically. The knot in your core tightens more, needing to find a good time to release. He quickens the pace, leaning over you to bring your lips together. Oh yea, that did it. You feel yourself just let go and this amount of pleasure and warmth rushes over you. It's so much that you moan out more expletives and his name repeatedly. After your high, you just see him. You need more, and god did you want to get more.
"Fuck me," You command, and he obliges. Pulling you closer to him, he uncovers his member, resting it on your stomach as he gets situated. He pulls a pillow and rests it under your lower back to make sure you don't hurt yourself, and keeping your ankles over his shoulders. You couldn't look away from him. Even his dick was freckled, which was kinda cute, but all you cared about was him and the fact you needed him in you.
"Are you ready?" He asks, noticing he has his dick in hand, ready to line himself up.
"Fuck, please," You groan, already closing your eyes in anticipation. He slides in, both of you moaning in pleasure.
"Holy shit, (Y/N)," he breathes out, barely over a whisper. His head is tilted back, holding onto your ankles. Your hands are by your lower stomach, trying to feel him in you from the outside because holy shit was he filling you full. He slowly starts to pump in and out of you, fully in, and fully out. Every pump in, you moan in delight. Sweat rolls down the both of you as you fill the room with heat and the sounds of pleasure. He starts to go faster, holding onto your thighs to bring you even closer.
"Cal~" You moan, holding your hands to your mouth because you knew you were about to get pretty loud. Without much thought, he pulls out and flips you onto your stomach. You push up onto all fours as he makes his way between your legs, entering you once more. Your arms give out, pushing your face into a pillow. This was helpful for covering your moans, but Cal wanted to hear them as he railed you. Carefully, he commanded the force to pull you up, by the neck. At first, only gently to not hurt you but to get up. You clenched in pleasure, moaning even louder. So, he also tightened his grip. Damn, so this is what he could do. After a bit more relentless railing, you felt your core have that same tightening sensation.
"Cal, I'm gunna-" You moan as he quickens the pace, causing you to moan out.
"Me too, fuck." He whispers out, nearing his release. Hearing him cuss like that over you sends you over as you scream out in delight. You clench onto him and release, an explosion of pleasure ruptures over yourself. His force lets go of you, making your head topple into the pillows. He grabs your hips and pushes him all the way, releasing into you. It's such a warm sensation, filling you up to the brim. You both stay like that for a few moments, catching your breathes. He pulls out, his cum leaking out of you.
"Holy shit," You say in unison. Cal chuckles, reaching for his towel that is on a nearby chair.
"Here, to clean up." He throws the towel onto your exposed behind. You blush, cleaning up yourself as you sit up on the towel, just in case. You cover yourself with his blanket, a sudden chill running all over you. Cal slips his boxers on from a nearby dresser and sits down beside you.
"I never thought we'd do that," You state, leaning into him. He happily wraps his arms around you.
"I'm glad we did, because wow. Jedi's are really missing out." This causing a laugh to escape you, causing him to also chuckle. You start to stand, but Cal holds you down.
"Stay tonight?" He asks, motioning to the pillows. He smiles warmly, and how could you say no? You return the smile, shuffling yourselves under the blankets and heads on pillows. He lays on his back as you cuddle up onto his chest, wrapping your arm around his torso. His arm lounges behind and around your back, rubbing it up and down.
"Well, we can do that as much as you want," You giggle, cuddling into him more.
"I'd like that, but also the cute romantic stuff." He chuckles, leaning down to kiss your head.
"Maybe a date?"
"I like the sound of that, in the morning?"
"Oh, let's go to the bakery down the street, I heard the have wonderful food." You smile, your eyelids feeling heavy.
"It's a date, goodnight (Y/N)." Cal whispers, closing his eyes. You hum back, already falling asleep. The smile never leaves your faces, even as you dream of what the future could hold for you two.

Buddy System
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: Cal wanted to go out on his own, but after not being by his side for quite some time, you bring up something you learned back at the Temple when you were just a youngling.
Word Count: 880
Warnings: Nah, sexy time proposed in a funny way
A/N: Bored at work so clearing through my drafts, here’s a quick blurb
Prompt: "Then why did you even come along?" "Because someone has to save your ass if this inevitably goes wrong."
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
The crew, such to Cal’s disappointment, wanted to take a day break on Koboh at the cantina. After a few weeks hunting down bounty hunters, everyone was exhausted. Cal finally caved when you fell over after standing for a few minutes from pure exhaustion.
Cal was restless. He wanted to keep the go-go-go mentality, and keep hitting them when they thought they could take a breather. He wasn’t used to breaks; he was used to running, fighting, pushing through.
He sat outside the cantina, tinkering with his saber with BD-1 at his side. He watched the people come and go, wanting to follow one that started their journey outside the city. BD-1 tries to entertain him, chirping some songs that he picked up from Greez and yourself. It only worked for ten minutes.
You’ve kept an eye on Cal as soon as you landed. You knew he wouldn’t be able to sit in one spot for longer than a few hours. Staying aboard the Mantis, you used this time to lay on the boarding ramp, using the ship as shade to read a few books. Every so often, you peeled over your book to see if Cal was still there, which he was.
You got to a good part of the book and hyper focused for a bit too long. Finally, after you flipped to the next chapter, you peered over to see your boyfriend gone. Aw crap, there he goes. You should’ve done more to help him relax, but he’s an adult he can manage. Well, apparently not. Throwing your book inside, you hop to your feet and take a better look. There goes the red head, following a raider towards their base. Something’s up.
You manage to find a balance of quickly walking and slowly jogging to catch up and hopefully not be suspicious. Cal flicks his head back and notices you making your way up. He doesn’t make a face as you look your arm into his.
“I watched him leave someone’s home with that bag, I have a bad feeling. The owner of the house was also crying.” Cal whispers, pointing to the large bag that the raider had in his hand. You nod.
“Now or later?” You ask, Cal shaking his head.
“I want to see where he’s going, see if there’s more stuff they’ve stolen.” The raider turns around to see us, but we wave and continue walking past him, coming up with a story to seem less suspicious. You both walk slow, causing the raider to groan and bump through you too to continue on.
“Well I’m coming with, obviously.” You smile, using your free arm to pat his arm. Cal seems annoyed.
“No, today was your rest day.” He whisper argues with you, causing you to raise an eyebrow.
“And to you, and you know that we don’t like others dipping by themselves.” You roll your eyes. “Do you know remember what we learned at the Temple?” Cal blinks blankly, obviously confused.
“The buddy system?” You ask, Cal shaking his head. “Seriously? Damn, we didn’t like that lesson as much so I figured you didn’t like it as much.”
“If you don’t like the buddy system, then why did you even come along?” Cal grumbles, not wanting their cover to be blown. You could care less about the raider and trying to talk to your boyfriend.
"Because someone has to save your ass if this inevitably goes wrong." You scowl, just too loud. The raider finally turns around, shoving his weapon to your chin.
“We are out of town, what business do you folks have with my team?” He hisses as you throw your hands up.
“Sir, we were told to follow a raider heading out of town to pay someone back.” You explain, the raider slowly lowering his weapon.
“Who?”
“You all look the same.” You state blankly, Cal holding in a scoff of laughter. The raider doesn’t seem amused.
“I’m not going anywhere,” The raider stands facing you two, crossing his arms. “You’ll have to wait for the correct man.” You and Cal look at each other, coming to the same agreement. Cal flings into action, bashing the raider back with the butt of his saber. Stunned, the raider drops the bag, giving you time to grab it and run. Cal follows, leaving the raider gasping for breath, laying on the ground.
“When we return this, you are going to properly rest.” You shout at him as you both run into town.
“Oh yeah? How?” He scowls, catching up to you.
“You look pretty relaxed after an hour in the bedroom.” You smile, shocking Cal. He smiles widely like a happy boy on Christmas morning.
“Give me the bag, and meet me on the ship.” He exclaims, slowing down as you reach town. You both stop and you give him a quick peck on the cheek. He rushes into the house, startling the owner.
Giggling, you make your way towards the Mantis. Before you get too far, you feel a pair of hands snake around you, turning you around. Cal places a sweet kiss to your lips before throwing you over his shoulders. You shriek in delight as he takes off to the launch pad, a few passer byers giggling at your shenanigans.

Stargazing
Relationship: Cal Kelstis x f!reader
Summary: You and Cal find yourselves watching the night sky. You bring up a question that questions your relationship.
Word Count: 1.2k
Warnings: Fluffy, leading to a more sexy outcome (use your imagination), maybe an existential crisis, have fun, f bomb
A/N: Nah enjoy
Prompt: "It was just a kiss." "I know.” “But does it have to be just that?"
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
It was a beautiful night. You’ve decided you needed some peace and quiet after a day of working on the Mantis, so sitting on top of the ship was the perfect place. She just needed some basic repairs and double checking that everything looked alright. You stuff the last bit of your sandwich into your mouth and you took in the scenery around you.
The grass swayed in the gentle breeze, seeds and small bits of vegetation gliding through the air. Taking a deep breath, it smelled clean, fresh, and thank god not oil that you’ve basically been inhaling all day.
You lean back, placing your hands behind your head as a makeshift pillow. Letting your body relax, you felt the cool metal chill your skin, but you didn’t mind. You’ve always loved the sky; loved seeing space and the vastness that it was. The stars twinkled in unison, as if they were gossiping to one another.
The metal of the ship clanks, as if someone was hitting it. You lean up and crawl to the edge, staring down to see a particular red head, holding a small bag, looking up at you. You both smile as you wave him up. He climbs up, scooting next to you.
“I brought a treat, Merrin is learning how to cook and bake stuff from different planets. I’m not sure what it is, but it’s delicious.” Cal explains as he opens up the small bag. The fragrance is strong, filling your lungs with warmth and sweetness. Taking a look at it, it looks like a spongy, dark brick. (It’s a brownie yall but Idk if they have brownies)
“Oh wow!” You exclaim, breaking off a small piece. It’s still hot as it melts away from itself and into your hand. Quickly, you scoop it into your mouth. “Oh… wow…” You go in for another bite, making Cal laugh. He hands over the bag to you, which you gladly take and continue to munch down.
“How’s the Mantis?” He asks, leaning back on his hands, propping himself up. You finish your bite, wiping the crumbles off your lap.
“She’s good, just a few little tweaks but I did a comb through and checked everything, that’s why it took so long.” You respond, placing the now empty bag under your leg to not fly away. You go back to your original position, staring at the sky above. Cal joins you, staring up to the stars.
“Do you ever think we’ll win?” You ask, darting between two colorful stars, trying to think of what planets they are. Cal hums.
“I think we’re winning only because we’re fighting back against the Empire.” Cal responds.
“Yeah, but I mean, like do you think we’ll have to stop fighting in our life time?” Cal solemnly chuckles.
“Absolutely not.” He sighs. “We need more people on our side. We need numbers.” You hun in response. You’re so numb to the right now that it just feels like a daily chore. Deep down, you know that your fighting for the betterment of the galaxy and to help the innocent, but some days, it feels like your crew against the world. You wouldn’t find a little vacation, hell, this is the most relaxation you’ve gotten in the past few weeks.
Cal removes his hand from under his head and taps your side. You remove your hand as well, which he instantly grabs and brings to his side.
“We have each other, we have the crew, we’re making a difference. We’ll get the rest we deserve in due time.” He smiles, placing a soft kiss to the top of your hand. You knew it was supposed to be a comforting gesture, but being the smart ass you are, you pull you hand back, pretending to throw up.
“Ewwww, a boy touched my hand~~~.” You giggle sitting up and scooting a little away. Normal, Cal would look disgusted as well in a joking matter. It’s an inside to joke that if one person shows affection, they turn into immature kids and “be grossed out.” “We’re warriors! We have no time for this crap.” You’d always say.
This time, Cal’s smile faded a smidge. He pursed his lips, bring his furrowed brows towards the night sky. Your smile also faded, raising an eyebrow. Reaching back out your hand, you rest it on his bicep.
“Did I offend you? I’m sorry, I do appreciate the comforting gesture.” You thank him. He hums.
“It was just a kiss…” He trails off, turning his head away from you. You slightly pout, a bit confused.
“I know, and I’m sorry I over reacted. It’s kinda our thing,” You force a chuckle. “An inside joke.”
“But does it have to be just that?” He asks, turning his back to you, his cheeks now slightly pink. “An inside joke?” You blink.
“What’s going on?” You ask as he sits up to face you.
“I’ve really been thinking about the future, and you bringing it up brought some of my thoughts to light.” He explains, taking both of your hands by this point. Your neck feels hot, your eyes wide, and your voice doesn’t seem to work. “I don’t care where I am, what I do, all I want is to be by your side and you by mine.”
“Cal…” Is the only word that escapes you. He lets go, slightly pulling away. You reach back out for his hands. He looks surprised.
“I’ll of course be with you every step of the way, but I have a feeling there’s something else on your mind.” You bring up, brushing a piece of loose hair back behind his ear. He was obviously using it to cover up his blushing face, causing you to blush as well.
“Jedi code states-“ You start to laugh, shocking him.
“Jedi code is how old?” You ask before he can continue. He pauses, his mouth ajar for a few seconds. He presses his lips together, nodding, making you giggle. Taking this opportunity, he reaches a hand to your cheek, testing the water. You don’t flinch, you don’t hesitate, you smile, knowing. You both stare at each other for a little while, just enjoying this moment. He caressed your temple, brushing your hair back.
“You going to kiss me or what?” You playfully ask. Without another heartbeat in between, he closes the distance between you. At first, a very sweet and resting the waters smooch. Your stomach does jumping jacks, never thinking you would be in this situation. He lean forward, wanting to deepen the kiss. He reciprocates, parting your lips and slipping his tongue in. You moan slightly, your cheeks practically on fire.
“HEY!” Greez calls from the ground, causing you too to split. He can’t spot you too, thank god. You wouldn’t hear the end of it. Cal peeks his head over.
“Yeah?” He asks. Greez rolls his eyes.
“I knew y’all were up there, head to bed it’s late.” He grumbles, walking back to the cantina, mumbling something about “they’re still fucking teenagers sometimes.” Cal pushes back, facing you again. You both laugh.
“Well, he’s got a point,” You say, standing up. “You’re more than welcome to join me in the Mantis~” You walk past his, ruffling his hair. As you climb down, Cal smiles leaning back to stare at the sky for a few more moments. Realizing what you meant, he quickly scrambles up and after you.

The Mechanic
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: Cal can't just be telling everyone he's a Jedi, no matter how cute they are. So apparently he's a mechanic? After a wonderful walk of getting to know each other, the cat’s out of the bag.

————————————————————————
You were tending to your farm, admiring the rising sun off on the horizon. Even though Koboh did have some very unpleasant places, your family found this small patch away from people, and most importantly, the Empire. So far you haven’t come into contact with any, you’ve only heard stories that your father would tell you while you tended the fields together.
That was over a year ago; the day he passed away. You were able to sprinkle his ashes by the tree he planted for you as a baby. But, the farm must prosper. You’ve decided to help out the struggling townspeople by selling and trading with them every other sunset.
It was any other day as you walked into town. A big basket in your back, and two in each hand. The cantina in town was friendly to you and let you sell inside, especially during the hottest of days. The short fellow, Cheese? Grease? You felt bad for not remembering, always had lavish stories to share with anyone who would listen. Of course, you would sell your goods and just listen to him go on and on about the galaxy, just like your father used to do.
Suddenly, a tall man with bright red hair runs into the cantina. You only catch a glimpse of him, but time seemed to slow down. His hair was pushed back with him running, showing off his chiseled face and red stubble of a beard. He looked to be about your age. His arms are covered in freckles, his knuckles badly beaten. Maybe he's a handyman? Just as you got a good look, he was gone, running to the back. The bar owner noticed your interest in the man. He waddles up to you, waving a friendly gesture. You smile back.
"Hey, kid. Got some eyes for my kid?" He smirks, making your face heat up immediately.
"Oh, no, sir. This is the first time I've seen him." You respond, packing up the last of your goods in the smaller basket. He hums, nodding his head and looking to the backdoor.
"Well, I'm off. Thank you again for letting me stay here." You smile, sticking out your hand to shake. He smiles, shaking your hand. Then, the redhead comes back. His attention is on you, shaking his friend's hand.
"Ah! Cal, please meet (Y/N)." The bar owner gestures to the man. Cal, what a nice name. It just flows out of your mouth. Cal~
"Pleasure to meet you," He walks over, sticking out his hand. You shake it, feeling your neck heat up.
"The pleasure is all mine," You respond. "Unfortunately, I must go. The sun is setting and I don't want to run into unexpected company." Cal's eyebrows shoot up.
"The raiders? Please, let me walk you home." Cal offers. Your neck heatens up more.
"I live out in the country at the farm an hour away, I'll be okay, thank you." You shly say as you head for the door. As the door opens, you're met face to face with two raiders, coming in for a drink. You immediately step aside to let them in.
"Ah, pretty girl, do you need us to walk you home?" One of them giggles, wrapping his arm around you, leading you outside. Cal does not stand for that one bit, running out and up to you.
"Sir, I was just about to escort her. Thank you for the offer. Your drink can be on me, right Greez?" Cal calls back to the bar owner, who nods emphatically. The raiders only scoff and head inside. Shaken, you reach your free hand around Cal's arm, who's taken aback slightly.
"Thank you so much." You whisper as the door closes behind you. "I'd really appreciate a companion to head back." He nods, showing you a warm smile. You don't take your arm back, and he doesn't seem to mind. You make your way down the street and onto a worn dirt path towards your farm.
The walk back was fantastic. You learned so much about each other. You told him about your life, growing up on the planet that you could never leave, tending to your family's bountiful farm. He explained that he has been a mechanic for many ships, traveling around the galaxy and seeing what the universe had to offer. That's where all the scars are, showing you the ones on his face and arms. You asked all types of questions, curious as a cat. He was happy to answer and tell more stories. Even after you made it back to the farm, you gave a quick tour and offered him dinner, which he gladly accepted the invite.
You stood in front of your stove, cooking up a vegetable stew as Cal sat politely on a chair by the window. The only lights were from a few candles about and the one electrical bulb you had on the ceiling.
"Using an animal to fly and not a machine?" You exclaim, dumbfounded with the biggest grin on your face. "That sounds incredible. You have had such an interesting life as a mechanic. Maybe I need a career change." You smile, stirring the food. Cal chuckles, looking out the window.
"It seems quite peaceful here, with kind people around." Cal responds, taking a deep breath. "(Y/N) that smells amazing, thank you for cooking." You blush as you dish out some bowls.
"Of course, I'm happy to help. Thank you again for walking me back. Will you be okay to walk back in the dark?" You frown, pointing outside. The only light available was given by the moon and the stars above. Cal takes a big spoonful of sound, gasping with delight.
"Woah," He breathes out, taking another bite. You giggle at the man's response. You eat together, telling jokes and talking about the planet.
Suddenly, there's a knock at the door. You both raise an eyebrow, as you stand up to answer the door. Without another knock, the door is kicked in and a few raiders enter.
"Ah! So this is where the pretty lady resides." One exclaims, putting his hands on his hips. Cal stands up, pushing you behind him, holding around your waist.
"Can we help you this evening?" He calmly asks, a scowl still lingering on his face. They all chuckle.
"We're here for the lady, she's being asked to come with us for the night." The leader, you assume states, taking another step forward. "Unless, you want to settle this outside?" Cal turns to face you.
"Stay here, gather your valuables." He states to you. He turns to face the invaders. "All of you, outside with me." They laugh, walking outside and unsheathing their weapons. You're practically shaking, running about the house, grabbing your money, seeds, heirlooms, anything important to you.
"Cal?" You ask, shoving stuff into your cloth bag. He raises up his hand.
"I'll take care of it, and we may need to go back into town for safety." He walks outside. You close the door behind him, not wanting to know what happens. Can you trust the mechanic? He seems extremely strong, but you don't have time to worry. You place more things in your bag when a green light shines from behind you. Cautiously, you turn around, throwing your bag onto your shoulders.
You watch Cal strike down a raider, a glowing sword in his hands. What IS that? You try to recall some memories from your father, the stories he would tell you about the galaxy. There were people actively fighting against the Empire, Jedos? Jedas? What were they?
The door flings open, Cal's hair a mess and sticking to his face. The green glowing stick is no where to be seen. He extends out his hand, and you instantly take it. Before you could go anywhere, you pull him in for a hug. Taken aback, he gladly accepts, holding you tightly against his sweaty frame.
"Thank you," you whisper, still shaking slightly from the earlier events.
"Of course, (Y/N). Let's get you back to the cantina... I have some explaining to do." He starts to lead you two away, but you take a moment and turn to face your home. You can't help but feel overwhelmed, tears brimming your eyes. Cal places a hand to your lower back, attempting to comfort you.
"What do I do? I can't stay here..." You exclaim quietly, your lip quivering. Cal's eyebrows furrow, sighing.
"I don't think this is safe anymore, but I know Greez and I can help find a safe place for you. Think of it as the adventure you've always wanted." Cal releases his hand, extending it out to you. You nod, taking his hand into yours.
You both start down the path, having to squint and adjust your eyes to make sure you're still on the path. He reaches for something to his side, pulling out a metal stick. You raise an eyebrow.
"Please don't touch any part of the lightsaber, it can hurt." He explains, turning it on. The green stick! Or, a lightsaber apparently. You watch in amazement.
"You're a Jedi." You say blatantly, looking out to the illuminated path in front of you. "You help people." Cal smiles, urging you both forward.
The rest of the walk is him telling you the truth about him. All the while, you happily listen, clutching onto his bicep as you walk into the night.

Wait, What?
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: You’ve been traveling the galaxy with Merrin, taking a stop on Jedha to help Cere. She asks you to go pick up Cal and the Mantis and lead them to their location. Excited seeing each other again, old feelings are brought to light.
Word Count: 2.5k
Warnings: Fluffy, mild swearing from the author
A/N: Cuties
Prompt: "I ACCIDENTALLY TOLD YOU I LOVED YOU AND NOW WE'RE FINALLY TALKING ABOUT IT.”
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
You take a step out of the shower. Today drained you. Cere tasked you and Merrin with pushing stormtroopers away from the front entrance of the base, but without killing anyone to lessen suspicion. Merrin used some cool space witch magic that you just had to gawk at from time to time. From teleporting troopers, to creating small, yet blinding sandstorms to push the men back. You’re job was to protect her and provide guidance. A few times you brought up the suggestion of moving rocks, making false pathways that loop them back, etc. Only twice did you have to strike down anyone, but it was nothing you couldn’t handle.
The steam from the shower had fogged up the mirror. You stare at the blurry reflection. Even though you couldn’t see your face clearly, you did notice the prominent dark circles under your eyes. Even after the steaming hot shower, your muscles still didn’t relax. Groaning, you rub your shoulder, turning to grab your freshly cleaned clothes. Standard Jedi uniform. Thank goodness for the breathability. Instead of a regular over-tunic, you placed a familiar poncho over it. Taking a deep breath into the cloth, you sigh, knowing the smell it originally held was long gone.
As you finish getting ready, a loud rapture erupts on the door.
“(Y/N), Cere needs you now.” Merrin calls through the door. You open it immediately, face to face with your friend.
“Do you know what about?” You ask, slipping on your last boot. Merrin nods, taking off at a slight jog down the hall. You follow, grabbing your light saber close to your side.
You both enter the archives, meeting Cere, who’s prime focus was one of the tablets in front of her.
“Ah, (Y/N), I must ask you of something.” Cere smiles, turning to face you two.
“Of course, what is it?” You ask, letting go of your light saber. Something about her smile seemed off, like she knew this was going to be… fun?
“I need you to collect someone from a rendezvous point. Leave at once.” Cere states, handing you a chip with coordinates. You study it from her hand before hesitantly taking it. “We have some friends coming for a visit.” You and Merrin scowl, raising your eyebrows. Merrin’s scowl is a bit harsher, not the most comfortable having to share already a small space with someone else.
“Merrin, please prepare 2-3 guest ro-“
“Cere,” You intervene, holding up your hand for her attention. “Who am I picking up?”
“Just go, young Jedi. You’ll know.” Cere shoos you away. She takes Merrin’s shoulder and leads them back down the hallway. Annoyed, you head towards the hanger to grab a speeder. From the coordinates she gave you, it was quite the journey.
Arriving at the hanger, you spot your ride. Do you remember the name? Absolutely not. This wasn’t normally your jam, big machines and what not. You enjoyed using your feet to travel, not much a speeder without a proper seatbelt nor safety precautions. You throw yourself up and head off into the desert.
—-
You don’t mind waiting, it soothes you to be alone in your thoughts. Finding a nice rock to lean against, you stare far out into the desert, watching troopers march along. Do they even know what they are fighting for? Who they’re hurting? What their future holds if they do or do not succeed? Sighing, you place your head in your hands, with your elbows rested on top of your knees. It’s be awfully hot without the wind. Taking a deep breath, you notice the wind pick up, unnaturally. You jump to your feet, peering around the rock to see a ship…
Your eyes snap open. Is that…
Stepping out of the ship is someone you most definitely recognize. The figure turns around to shout something back and a small droid appears. It runs quickly, climbing up the figure’s back. The figure steps onto the sand as the stairs fold back into the ship. It quickly takes off, most likely for a safer spot to land and hide for awhile.
You haven’t seen that face for many months. A face you would see daily. After meeting Merrin and bonding, you decided it would be safer for the two Jedi’s to split and one to escort Merrin around and teach her the ways around the Galaxy. You couldn’t be happier to assist Merrin, you grew closer; however, you couldn’t help but miss the red head daily.
The man turns towards the rock, looking at something in his hand. Most likely the coordinates, which lead to the rock you are currently hiding behind. Feeling the corners of your lips head up your face, you step out from the rock, the light now shining onto you. Geez it was hot.
He looks up, and drops whatever was in his hand. Time of course did not stop, with the sand moving and the wind blowing your hair, but damn did it feel like it. You stared at each other; one smiling like a lunatic and the other dumbfounded.
“We’ll look who it is on Jedah.” You call out, hands on your hips. He closes his mouth, shaking his head into a grin. “Let’s get a move on before the storm hits.”
“(Y/N)!” He calls out, the grin widening more and more with each step he took towards you. You match his energy, extending your arms out for a long deserved embrace. He wraps his arms around your waist, trying to not pick you up off your feet. He smushes his face into the crook of your neck, taking it all in. You giggle, your arms around his neck and head on his shoulder.
“It’s been too long, Cal.” You breath out, backing out of the hug. He laughs as BD-1 chirps for attention. “Oh I saw you too, buddy, don’t worry.” You pat the droid on his head, which beeps happily.
“Like you said, let’s get a move on.” Cal smiles, extending his bent elbow to you. Chuckling, you slide your arm through, holding onto his bicep. Together, you walk alongside the rocks, down the hill to where you parked your speeder.
“How is everyone?” You ask, trying to find his gaze. His once bright eyes suddenly gloss over, a small and quick frown coating his expression. Your smile fades as well.
“Let’s save the catching up to when we’re at base, is that okay?” He asks, patting your hand on his arm with his other hand. His eyes find yours, his filled with sorrow and weariness. You nod, looking forward.
Just as you were about to turn the corner to where you parked, you both had the sensation to stop. You could feel multiple presences beyond, not friendly presences. Looking at each other, Cal brings a finger to his lips, letting your arm go. You nod, brining your hand to your light saber in case something were to go wrong. Cal peeks around the corner. Multiple storm troopers had surrounded your speeder, taking it apart and looking at the pieces. You come up behind Cal, unsheathing your saber. He does the same, sprinting into action.
You both quickly beat the shit out of them. Cal keeps his saber out, keeping a look out as you tend to the speeder.
“Damn, they took a beating to this.” You sigh, exasperated.
“They probably wanted to make sure to trap whoever was here, you did hide it pretty well. Must have been coincidence that they found it.” Cal reassures you. Nodding, you look to the sky where you hade came from. It was filled with brown darkness. The storm was starting to catch up.
“Crap,” you breathe out. There was no way you’ll make it back to base walking. Looking around, you see a pack of spamel walking away from the storm, fleeing as well. “Come on,” You motion to Cal, jogging towards the pack. He follows closely, also eyeing up the storm.
Upon reaching the spamel, you notice one that has a few spots on its back. Smiling, you recognize this to be the spamel you saved from a few troopers just a week ago. The spamel recognizes you immediately, bending down as if it knows you need to hitch a ride. You turn to Cal, motioning for him to hop on.
He throws his leg over, bracing himself on the back of the spamel’s neck. You hop on as well. Without having time to adjust nor brace, the spamel takes off, causing you to lunge into Cal’s back, throwing your arms around his waist. You hands hold onto his toned stomach, feeling the indentations of scars he has endured. He turns around, smiling at you.
“Alright?” He asks, a small chuckle escaping his lips. The hot desert heat trickles up your neck and onto your cheeks.
“Yeah, I’m alright.” You respond, tightening your grip as the spamel picks up speed.
—-
Periodically, you’ll glance behind you, noticing the storm creeping up onto the herd.
“Cal,” You tap his shoulder. “We’re not going to make it.” He cusses to himself, looking around.
At that moment, the wind picks up, sand flying up the spamel’s legs. The herd whines in fear. Suddenly, Cal lunges forward, pointing a bit to the right.
“There!” He calls out, the wind starting to drown out some sound. The spamel seemed to understand Cal’s gesture and noticed the cave opening, big enough to fit even the tallest spamel. The heard gallops to the entrance. You tighten your grasp onto the man, hiding your face in the poncho to protect your eyes and nose from the sand being kicked up. Cal does the same with his own jacket. A few spamel’s have already made it in, and it seemed like you were the last ones. You check behind to make sure you are in fact that last set as your enter the shelter.
“Cal, help me with the rock.” You call out, jumping off the spamel. He falls off with you, following you towards the entrance. Sand and wind flow into the space, hitting and scaring the spamel. You look to see a large rock to your left. Together, you roll the stone in front of the entrance as a make-shift door. You both sigh, as Cal pats you on the back.
“Good thinking,” He smiles as BD chirps in. “Let’s see if we can get a fire going.” He hurries off as you go around to the resting spamel, checking to see if anyone had gotten hurt.
—-
You sit just as you were before earlier, in your own thoughts. The fire flickers and dances beautifully, creating a warm ambiance to the space. The spamels are fast asleep on one side of the cavern, while you and Cal stare at the fire. He sits with a leg extended out and the other folded in, where he rests his hands.
“So, what happened to the crew?” You finally pipe up. You turn to see his face, which basically glows in the firelight. His freckles decorate his features, something you were always jealous of. His eyes remind fixated on the fire.
“Greez is alright…” He trails off, not wanting to discuss anymore on the subject. You both have lost too much in this war, friends, family, innocents. You scoot closer to the man, wanting to be a positive presence to him. He looks out his peripheral to your figure nudging closer. This makes him smile, a content, warm, inviting smile. You take this as a sign to reach your hand out, asking to be held. He agrees, interlocking his fingers with yours. His hands were strong, durable, beat up, yet soft and warm. You take your hands into your lap, using your other hand to trace over each freckles. You used to do this many times on the Mantis over the years to calm him down. Your eyes stay glued to your connect the dots session, while his scan you. It’s like he’s trying to memorize you, understand you and remember you.
“I missed you too much.” He breathes out. You look up into his eyes, which are melting at the eye contact. You smile, extending your hand to his face. He practically dissolves into your touch as you rest your hand on his cheek.
“I missed you as well.” You respond, a small smile leaving your lips.
“I love when you do that,” He absentmindedly blurts, causing you to giggle. He neck, cheeks, and ears flare up immediately, realizing what he had uttered. “I mean, of course I like you touching me, not like that don’t give me that look, I love our closeness, I love you…” He continues to ramble, but your focus ceased once you heard those three words. You hand slowly falls from his blubbering face, catching his attention.
“Wait,” You whisper, making him shut his mouth. “What?” You cock your head, staring up at him.
Silence. The only noise that could be heard was from the wind outside, the snores of the spamels, the crackling of the fire.
“Cal…” You whisper, your hands retreating to your lap. His upper body begins to redden, realizing what has made you take a moment.
“Did you-“
“Okay yes, I may have accidentally told you I loved you, and I’ve felt like this for awhile but you know the Jedi code but I guess now we’re finally talking about it and what that could mean-“
You chuckle quietly, watching the red head loose his cool. This was a side you’ve never seen before, and honestly, he was quite cute. You rest a hand in his thigh, again, shutting him up.
“Let’s save the catching up to when we’re at base, is that okay?” You repeat his words to you earlier to him. With that you lean your body in closer to him. Regaining his composure, he senses your motives and quickly leans into you as well. You lips meet. At first, very much head on, wanting to be as close together as possible. Just a simple, yet long lingering kiss. You pull away, but he is not satisfied. He places on hand on your thighs, the other around your shoulder to the back of your head, bringing you back in for a longer, deeper kiss.
You both stay there, kissing you feelings away as the fire flickers down. You both don’t notice, nor really care. Your attention is on each other.
You finally pull away for a long, needed breath. He does the same. You both smile, giggling just a tad.
“I didn’t know you felt that way,” You start, sitting up straighter to look at him better. He clears his throat, fixing his collar.
“Well, you know the Jedi code.” He starts, causing you to roll your eyes.
“Cal, you both know the Jedi code is older than time itself and things change.” You giggle. “People change.”
“Well, if that’s the case,” He smiles, bringing his lips to yours once more.
You wait out the storm, falling asleep in each others embrace.

A Future, A Home
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader

Word Count: 870
Warnings: Cal leaving again 😭 how dare, cute BD alarm clock
A/N: I can’t get over all the custom features Survivor offers like omggggggg the stubble???
Prompt: “You’ll stay, this time, right? You won’t go off again. You won’t disappear.”
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
The small window in the corner of the room shines just enough light on your eyes. You slowly blink, groggy from starting to wake up. The room is cool, unlike the vast landscape outside. The dark orange-brown rock around you creates a pleasant cave sensation, protecting you from the outside world. A pair of freckles hands wrap around your waist, pulling you in. You smile softly, knowing your partner is still fast asleep, in his own little world.
You don’t mind, actually, you’re more than happy he is sleeping so soundly. You know for a fact his bed on the Mantis is rock hard and he can barley sleep anyway with so much turbulence and rocking about. With the “go-go-go” mentality, he can never bring himself to even sit down at times. The fact that he asked you to bed first was shocking, but you were extremely glad to show him to your room, where he instantly laid down on the fluffy sheets and knocked out.
The memory made you smile. While you’ve been on Jedah with Cere and Merrin, you’ve just now learned what Cal has been up to the past few months. You take your hand and stroke his arm, tracing each freckle like a game of connect the dots.
Missing him would be an understatement. In this world, your kind were being hunted constantly. Jedis needed to be eliminated, according to the Empire. You’ve spent your lives running, fighting, looking past your shoulders. To experience pure bliss and safety in each others arms was a luxury, a luxury you never wanted to let go of.
Cal shifted in his sleep, gripping onto you tighter. You chuckled, letting your eyes slowly blink back to rest.
BD-1 chirps at the door, acting as your own personal alarm clock. Sighing, you slink out of your boyfriend’s embrace, who grumbles in protest. You open the door a crack, crouching down to the adorable droid, cocking his head up at you.
“Good morning, buddy.” You smile, the droid bouncing with joy. “We’ll be out in a few, I’ll send Cal to the Mantis straight away. Meet him there?” With that, BD-1 scampers away.
“Five more minutes,” Cal complains, Force grabbing your pillow and sending it your way. On instinct, you catch the pillow, a sad smile on your face as you close the door.
You slowly make your way towards the bed, sitting down besides his curled up frame. He looks peaceful, being able to not worry and rest. You know once he wakes up fully, the worry and anxiety of the day will come crashing. His hand reaches out to yours, interlocking your fingers together as he straightens up.
“Good morning,” You smile. Cal reciprocates, bringing your hands up to his lips, placing a soft kiss on your knuckles.
“You looked so peaceful,” He smile, brushing a strand of red hair away from his eyes. “I wish you could…” You trail off as he starts to shift, moving his legs off the bed. You stand, making room for him to get up. He sits next to you, placing a kiss to your temple. You faintly smile, worry still painted on your face.
“After all of this…” You start.
“We’ll have Tanalorr, (Y/N). A place where we can sleep next to one another every night.” He states, sounding leveled headed and very much like he rehearsed that statement. You nod, watching him slip on his everyday clothes, freshly washed thanks to the kind droids helping out with the Hidden Path.
“But you’ve never known that. Who says you’ll stay? You’ll stay, this time, right? You won’t go off again. You won’t disappear, right?” Your worries and doubts melt from your mouth. You were ready to settle and help out with those you can. After traveling with Cal and the Mantis for years, it became too much. Cere asked for you to aid her in helping with the Hidden Path, which was definitely more your style.
“(Y/N)…” Cal breathes out, slipping his saber to his side. He turns around, facing your concerned face. “This is it. My last fight for now. Of course we will help those and train those who want to go back out and fight. But my job will to be protect and teach.” He walks up to you, taking your hands into his freckled ones. He places a sweet, gentle kiss to your cheek. “We’re so close, and I’ll come back to you. Every time.”
“A Future.” You smile.
“A Home.” He grins.
You look up into his eyes, shinning, knowing his said his truth. You smile, pecking him on the lips. He reaches his hand behind your head, pulling you back in for a longer, much needed, kiss. You grasp onto his collar, wanting to hold yourself there for as long as possible. Unfortunately, he just had to pull away, giving you a goofy smile.
“Go kick ass, Cal Kestis.” You smile, letting go of his hands. He chuckles, making his way towards the door.
“Anything to come back to you.” He responds, smiling over his shoulder. With that, he leaves you in your room. The sun coming from that small window now blinds you.

One Foot In Front Of The Other
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: You and Cal rest on the Mantis in your shared bedroom as you travel to Jedah to meet Cere and the Hidden Path. You both can’t sleep and end up talking.
Word Count: 760
Warnings: Nah
A/N: Short, but sweet. Feel free to send in Cal requests ;)
Prompt: “It gets easier.” “Are you lying?” “… Of course I am.”
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
Stretching your arms above your head, you look over from your place on the bed towards the clock above the door. 2:15 AM. Great, you’ve been trying to sleep for hours now with no luck. You stare at the bunk above you, outlining the frame work to try to make yourself tired. No luck.
These past few days have been extremely stressful and taxing. Who the hell was this Dagan guy? Why did Cal just open the bacta tank? So many questions with little answers. You had been waiting outside that room, keeping guard as Cal wanted to go in alone. He persisted, saying the force was guiding him and didn’t want to lead you into anymore trouble. It was only until he screamed your name that you blasted your way in, weapons aimed at the fallen jedi. Dagan had escaped, and you and Cal were kicking yourselves constantly.
When you got back to the Mantis, you settled a game plan with the rest of the crew and you’re currently heading to Jedah.
You groan and roll over to your side, staring at the metal wall. The top bunk shifts above you, with the same groan emitting from it.
“Cant sleep?” Cal groans as BD climbs down from the bunk and to you. You pat the droid on the head as it chirps with affection.
“Nope,” you respond, placing BD onto the ground, who leaves the room to go check up on Greez. You sigh. “Still thinking about earlier.” The top bunk shifts wildly, as a freckled leg flings off and onto the ladder, followed by another one. Cal climbs down, his pants scrunched up like shorts from the recklessness of trying to sleep. His shirt is unbuttoned at the top, his collarbones practically being showcased. His hair is a mess, probably from slamming it against the pillow countless times. He looked a bit miserable, he looked how you felt.
“Can I lay with you?” He asked, stepping his last foot onto the ground, staring down at your frame. This wasn’t an unusual request, but he usually asked when you were reading and wanted to read with you. You nodded, moving aside to allow him to be next to you.
“Cal, have you always felt like this after a long day?” You ask, holding out your arms. He slowly falls into your embrace, moving the comforter to cover you both. He places his head next to yours. You reach down to grab his hand, bringing it up to your stomach. You hold him there, using your other hand to trace each scare and poke each freckle. He’s been through so much, even before you joined the crew.
“It gets easier.” He chuckles, mostly to himself because you don’t believe a word out of his mouth. You turn your focus away from his hand and to his face. He stares at his bunk above, his bright eyes shining from your view. They weren’t shining from tears, but more of being exhausted. No amount of sleep would ever solve it. You scowl.
“Are you lying?” You ask, squeezing his hand a bit. He sighs, turning to face you. His stubble has just grown through, perfectly matching his wild hair spewing across your pillow. Your scowl turns to a warm smile, which he copies.
“… Of course I am.” He whispers, taking his free hand to stroke your face. “However, you have helped a lot from it getting worse.” You blush at his words. He chuckles seeing the pink blush spread across your face.
“I’m glad I could help,” You whisper back, squeezing his hand. He squeezes back, bringing your hands up to his face to leave a long, lingering kiss to the back of your hand. Your blush darkens.
“I like the saying that you told me a while back. It’s helped me really hold onto my beliefs and continue fighting.” He looks back to the bunk bed, staring intently, as if trying to see past the bed, the ship, and into the stars around them. You cuddle closer to his side, wrapping your arm around his torso.
“One foot in front of the other. My mother would say that to me if I found something difficult.” You hum, feeling your eyelids start to droop. Cal kisses the top of your head.
“Let’s just unbunk the bed and set ours next to eachother. Big bed!” He chuckles, closing his own eyes as well. You barley hear his words as you finally find yourself falling asleep in his warm embrace.

Silly Jedi
Relationship: Cal Kestis x f!reader
Summary: Both being raised in the Jedi Temple, you and Cal never understood the idea of “crushes” or being attracted to someone. As you’ve gotten older and now seem to have found each other after the terror of that day, Cal doesn’t know how to react.
Word Count: 1.6k
Warnings: Jedi Survivor spoilers/gameplay twister to fit the story
A/N: First post! Not my first time writing, it’s just been awhile. I hope you all enjoy! I’ll open up requests once I figure out how to do that. There is a bit of background, only to really set the scene.
Prompt: “I think I’m allergic to them.” “Why would you think that?” “Because every time I’m near them I can’t breathe and I get really sweaty and hot.”
(gif not mine)
————————————————————————
Dashing into the cantina, (Y/N) glides in between customers, with the occasional “excuse me, pardon me.” She hopes behind the counter, ignoring Greez’s glare on her back as she puts away her bag.
“What have I said about being late?” Greez crosses both sets of arms, tapping his foot. (Y/N) turns around, a grin on her face.
“Who else would you hire to take care of-“ She cuts off eyeing a Bedlam Raider, sipping a drink, eyeing you. “These wonderful customers!” You smile, heading towards the sink to wash your hands. Greez scoffs, exiting behind the bar to socialize with his customers.
You begin taking more orders, making drinks, and of course dissociating into your own little world in your head. Originally, you weren’t even supposed to be on Koboh. This was supposed to be a pit stop for you and your crew. You couldn’t help but feel a strong presence, a need, to stay. Maybe it was the fact you were tired of running, tired of having to flee, tired of putting those who had rescued you ten years ago at risk daily.
“Here you go, on the regular tab?” You ask a regular, who nods and thanks you. Smiling, you look over behind the counter to double check your bag was still there. You didn’t have much stuff in there anyway, just one major thing that would definitely cause an uproar to everyone in here. You begin to take more orders and craft drinks. You’ve been here for, what, a year? You mostly explored the planet, seeing what Koboh had to offer. It wasn’t until months ago you stopped here and Greez needed a set of hands. You liked him, and another sense of needing to stay here swept over you. Now, you bartend in the afternoon into the night, and stay up, exploring and watching the night sky. For what? You aren’t sure, you’re more on survival mode for now.
“Ah! Turgle, what can we get you?” Greez greats the alien. Turgle shakes his head, obvious sweat dripping down his face.
“I’m alright, just waiting for someone.” Turgle responds, waving to you. You wave back, continuing to make drinks. Suddenly, large footsteps echo outside, making their way towards the front door. Greez raise an eyebrow at Turgle, who only starts to shake. The door opens, revealing Rayvis, one of the Gen’Dai warriors on Koboh, along with some backup. Greez walks back behind the counter, grabbing your bag and handing it to you. Without making a face, you slip it on, and continue making drinks, keeping a close eye on the encounter ahead of you. Obviously Greez knows what’s up with you and your bag, you’re so attached to it.
“Ahhh, Turgle! I heard you have something for me.” Rayvis grins, his yellow teeth baring towards the much smaller alien. Turgle nods, pulling something out of his pocket. It’s quite thin, almost rectangular. You didn’t get a good enough look before Rayvis snatched it up. One of his back ups handed Turgle a small pouch, assuming of credits. Before anyone had time to process what was going on, Turgle ran out of the cantina.
Something weird flickered in your head, a strange, but familiar feeling. You haven’t been able to use this ability for quite some time, out of practice. But, it felt familiar, so familiar. Without must thought, you pulled this metal cylinder out of your bag and stuck it in your back pocket. Greez stared at you, wide eyed.
“NO!” Rayvis screamed, rushing outside, along with his backups. You jump over the counter, following. Greez stays inside, making sure no customers follow or in danger themselves.
You step outside, the sun baking onto your face. Holding up your hand over your eyes, you stay close to the door, behind the Bedlam Raiders. You can’t physically see what’s going on, but you listen to Rayvis scream and complain that it’s fake. Turgle whines and pleads. Then, a very familiar sound fills the space. Is that… a saber?
Down each backup goes, with each one down, more of the figure, presumably a Jedi, is shown. First, just their shoe, then, a freckled hand covered in scars. Then… red hair? You flick your lightsaber into action, stabbing the closest raider to you. He crumbles to the ground. Rayvis, shocked, turns around and sees you, with your (insert color) saber glowing and at the ready.
“Ah, two Jedi’s! Oh this will be fun. I will leave in peace now. Here, I don’t need this.” He tosses the object Turgle gave him towards the other Jedi. Your eyes follow, landing on a familiar face. Rayvis stalks away and you continue to stare, sheathing your weapon.
“Cal?” You call out, the man whips his head towards you, his eyes widening. A small BD droid hops off his shoulder walking over to you. You don’t pay too much attention, your eyes just staring at your old friend.
“(Y/N)?” He asks, taking a step closer. You smile, walking towards him as well. You meet, wrapping your arms around each other tightly. He rests his head on top of yours as you bury your head in his shoulder. He’s all grown up. He’s tall, has grown out his fair, has facial hair, and a pretty built frame. You remember him much shorter, with more of a boyish grin. Those elements are still there, but you’ve both grown so much.
“I thought you didn’t make it out.” He pulls back, his hands on your waist, holding you as if he was imagining you. You give a soft smile, staring back at his dumbfounded and exasperated expression.
“I didn’t think anyone made it out.” You respond, running your hand through his hair. “I like the hair.” His ears pinken, letting you go. The BD droid chippers, scanning your feet and slowly making his way up. “Oh, hello.” You smile. “Do you want to scan my light saber?” The droid chippers happily as you set down the saber on the ground.
“That’s BD-1, of BD for short.” Cal explains, smiling at his droid. He turns his attention to the object Rayvis tossed his way. You turn away from the droid and back to Cal.
“Turgle, the alien that you saved, gave this to Rayvis inside the cantina. Greez was a bit skeptical of what was happening.” At the mention of his name, Cal looked up, smiling. “Do you know him? Let’s go inside.” You grab the saber as BD crawls back onto Cal’s back. You lead the way, feeling Cal’s stare burning onto your back.
God, how long has it been? Years easily. You both were best friends at the Temple in your youth. Inseparable. Whenever you went, he went. Wherever he went, you went. You just clicked, talking about everything and anything.
Cal sighs, adjusting his collar, clearing his throat as well.
“Hot? There’s cool air inside, go ahead.” You open the door, motioning for Cal to enter. He nods, thanking you. You notice as he walks past, sweat is dripping down the sides of his face, his ears still pink.
“CAL?” Greez shouts, running from behind the counter. They have their moment, greeting each other and catching up. You sit off to the side, not wanting to disrupt. You watch the pair talk, your eyes and mind wandering.
Cal had really grown up to an attractive young man. The red stubble really brought out his light eyes, which always reminded you of the bright stars in the sky. He had rolled up his sleeves, showing his toned arms, along with freckles and as many scars. Who knows what he’s been up to, but obviously giving someone hell. A large scar went across his face, very faded by this point. You couldn’t help but have the faintest smile.
“(Y/N)?” Greez asks, pulling your attention away. “Could you please get my friend here some water?” You nod and walk towards the back to grab a canned water. Tap wasn’t the best here.
—-
“Greez, I haven’t seen her for so long. But just like when I was at the Temple, I started getting these weird feelings. I think I’m allergic to them.” Cal whispers, watching (Y/N) go into a back room.
She’s really grown up. Her face has aged a bit, but still has that youthful smile. Oh those eyes, they could light up any room. Still as confident as ever, she was ready to join in on the fight without batting an eye. Cal couldn’t stop smiling when he laid eyes on her.
Greez rolls his eyes “You can’t be allergic to people, at least I don’t think so. Why would you think that?” Cal stands up straight, wiping his hands on his pants.
“Because every time I’m near her I can’t breathe and I get really sweaty and hot. I mean, the cooler air in here is not helping at all.” He wipes his face with the collar of his shirt, showing Greez the sweat soaked parts. Greez chuckles, grabbing a towel behind the counter and throwing it Cal’s way.
“Get ahold of yourself,” He laughs at Cal dries his face again. “Probably just your puppy love mode acting up.” Cal’s ears pinken even more, spreading to his cheeks.
You walk back in with a bottle of water, noticing Cal’s bright red face.
“Hey, didn’t realize the Koboh heat was hitting you that hard. Here,” You hand him the water. “Let me grab you a cold towel.” BD chirps, as Cal taps him on the top of the head a bit roughly. His entire face is now red. Greez laughs, leading Cal to the back.
“Silly Jedi,” Greez smiles as they walk past (Y/N), who hands the beet red Cal a cold towel. Cal kicks playfully at Greez’s ankle and thanks you for your kindness.
