Note
Do you have any offerings and/or devotional acts ideas for Hermes, Eris and Loki? I love them and have been wanting to work with them since I was a child and there is some info on them on Tumblr but it's not enough so I thought you could help me a little Thank you!
Hi! I don’t work with/worship Eris or Hermes too closely at this time nor am I very knowledgeable about Norse Deities but I’ve seen some stuff in passing so I’ll put that in here
Offerings
Hermes: (I looked up #Hermes offerings on tumblr to find some of these)
Anything made of silver or containing mercury
Currency
Crocuses
Panpipes
Saffron
Strawberries/Chocolate/Honey/Lemons/ Almonds/Cinnamon/pork
Any type of foreign food
Spring water/Coffee/Energy drinks/Wine/mead
Dyed eggs
Frankincense/Myrrh/lavender oils
Eris: I had a bit of trouble finding ideas for Eris, it doesn’t seem like there’s much info on her so I think you might have better luck speaking to an Eris devotee but
Images of war/battle
Apples/apple imagery (especially golden apples)
Gold jewelry/pieces/etc
Gold/black/grey stones or crystals
Poetry you’ve written for her
Loki: it is a bit difficult to find stuff for Loki on here because a lot of Marvel stuff comes up. Try searching #Loki God or #Lokideity
Red/yellow/orange candles
Dragon’s blood incense
Alcohol (whiskey or cinnamon flavoured liqueurs)
Sweet foods like candy/pastries/etc
Pork
Anything cinnamon
Plastic toys/knickknacks
Snake imagery
Shiny things
Something symbolic of his children (Carving a wooden figurine for Fenrir, offering bone for Hel, snakeskin for Jormungandr, etc.)
Small devotional acts
@heatherwitch has some for Eris and Hermes (as well as many of the Hellenic pantheon). You could check out her tag #SDVA for the Greek deities and #NDVA for Norse reblogs and I’ll also add links to her posts for those deities specifically.
@bellewitchh has a post for Loki that I will also link here!
This is all I found in the past little while, I’m sorry I don’t know much about those deities’ worship as I don’t work with them. I hope this helped a bit though!

Small Devotional Acts to Loki
Tumblr media
Bake spiced sweets like this bread or these cookies.
Give without expecting anything in return.
Share laughter with loved ones.
Light a candle in His honor.
Be kind to those who are outcasted.
Share a cup of chai tea.
Wear a piece of jewlery that reminds you of Him.
Watch a fiery sunset.
Be unforgivingly yourself.
Doodle.
Embrace the chaos in your life.
Spend time with those close to you.
Burn incense.
Fight against social norms and your right to be you.
Make a playlist that makes you smile.
Draw Him.
Take time to get to know who you are.
Create meaningful sigils.
Spend time talking to Him.
Make amends with those you have hurt.
Learn to weather change.
Cook a meal He would like and share it with Him.
Listen to others.
Walk in the Summer heat.
Write to Him.
Build a fire and admire the glow of embers.
Don’t let people bring you down.
Keep going when it feels as though you can’t.
Collect small toys to keep on His altar.
Take care of yourself.
Use oils like cinnamon or clove in a diffuser.
Do anything that makes you feel free and lost in the moment.
Hoard jokes and puns that amuse you.
Smile.
Remember, there are so many ways to worship Loki. He’s a God of chaos and change. Do what makes you feel right.
(Inspired by @heatherwitch‘s small devotional acts posts.)

Hex Breaking Ritual
Tumblr media
*a ritual to get rid of and dispose of negative energies directed at you*
What You Need
Three white tea lights
A fire safe dish
Pen and small piece of paper
Cleansing incense (I used sage and patchouli)
What To Do
1. Prepare yourself, your space, and your tools as you need to.
2. Set the incense behind the fire safe dish. One of the candles in front of the dish, and one to each side of the dish.
3. On the piece of paper, write out what kind of energy you’re feeling or experience you’re having then fold the paper over.
4. On the other side of the paper write out “Ill intent directed at me, burn away so I am free. Up in smoke, up in flame, no longer shall you speak my name. Then in ash be blown away, only good intent shall stay”
5. Light the incense and the candles, focus on the light and the smoke. Breathe slow, deep and steady. Visualize the energy you feel directed at you and affecting you leaving your body and gathering within the paper.
6. Once you feel like you’ve got all of it poured into the paper, light the paper in the center candle (safely!) and place it in the fire safe dish. Let it burn.
7. As it burns visualize all of that energy burning away and leaving with the smoke. Once the paper has burned up all the way, allow the candles and incense to burn down. Once they do, dispose of the all the ash and the candle remains.
8. I recommend doing a cleansing shower after this ritual, and if you have any protection spells or rituals, it couldn’t hurt to do it after this as well.
Good luck and happy casting witches!

Daily Shower Spell
Materials:
Water
Soap or shower gel
Shampoo and conditioner
Ritual:
Start the shower with the water as hot as you can stand it, and step inside. Once inside the shower, let the water run over you from head to toe. As you breath, watch the water going down the drain and picture it in your wind as a gray color. Next, visualize the water removing all your anxieties and any issues you had from the day before.
Begin to wash your hair with shampoo. In your mind’s eye, see the stress and anxiety leaving your body and entering int the shampoo bubbles.
Repeat the visualization process with the conditioner. Take the soap or shower gel and, starting with your face, wash your whole body several times, cleaning from head to toe. As you lather say these words over and over: “Water, water, wash away. Water, water, cleanse today.”
Once you are clean, rinse off all the suds. The lather will absorb your troubles and wash them down the drain. Cool the shower temperature slightly, and bathe for a few more minutes in the refreshing water. When you feel comfortably cleansed and refreshed, step out and dry off with a towel from top to bottom while repeating these words:
“By the earth in the soap,
By the air in the steam,
By the fire which heats the water,
By the water that washes,
I am cleansed, clean, and ready for the day.”

Shadow Work
Origins, Meaning and Utility
The Structure of the Mind
Tumblr media
Carl Jung theorized the existence of three levels/spheres in the human psyche: the Ego, representing the conscious mind, the Personal Unconscious where memories are contained and the Collective Unconscious, where all knowledge and experiences of the species are shared.
Each Sphere has in it a certain number of Archetypes, used to better describe the components of those structures, and the Shadow is one of them.
What is the Shadow
Tumblr media
The shadow can be seen as a instinctual or primitive part of ourselves, it exists as part of the unconscious mind and is composed of repressed ideas, weaknesses, desires, instincts, and shortcomings.
It is this archetype that contains all of the things that are unacceptable not only to society, but also to one's own personal morals and values, normally going against social norms and rules as well as what we personally consider right.
The Shadow is often described as the darker side of the psyche, representing wildness, chaos, and the unknown, and it is common for people to deny this element of their own psyche and instead project it on to others.
The Shadow in Witchcraft and Benefits of Shadow Work
Tumblr media
Art: Unknown
The Shadow, in witchcraft, can represent The Unknown, hidden depth of ourselves. Speaking in terms of energy, this is an area that can be a deep source of energetic issues, because it’s locked up in the dark and always striving to reach the light.
To not work with one’s Shadow is to make it greedy and aggressive, as well as denying a big part of oneself, making everything a half of a whole.
Through that brief explanation, we can already establish the importance and role of the Shadow in witchcraft, and with that in mind, comes the concept of Shadow Work.
Shadow Work can be seen in a number of practices, meditation, trances, inner journey’s, lucid dreaming, astral travels, spells and divination.
The method can change, but the principle is simple: Centering your intent to self discovery, self knowledge and self acceptance.
Working with one’s Shadow is not only beneficial to one’s craft, as it allows one to get in touch with their intuition as well as allows for easier connection with one’s guide/guides, but it also allows for healing and acceptance of one’s feelings and needs.
Think of all aspects of life as a wheel. If there is one part bent, the wheel can turn, but with more effort. If the owner spends time fixing that bent part, the wheel will turn in a much more smooth manner.
That is what happens when you take the time to do Shadow Work, you have to put in effort, and most of the time it’s not easy, but once done, all other components on the wheel of your life will be relieved to move on without that obstacle that makes their job harder.
The Shadow is not evil, as evil is just a moral compass invented by humans. It is a part of one’s nature, and to deny it is to supress a connection with yourself.
Take the time to know and accept your shadow, and you’ll see that life will be a little easier.

Tarot Spread: Getting to Know a New Deck
This is my little twist on your typical deck interview spread - it’s how I like to conceptualize meeting a deck [spirit]. It can be used to get to know a new deck, or even to get reacquainted with one you’ve had but haven’t spent much time with.
