the obsession by jesse q. sutanto
this was so interesting to read and definitely took many turns towards the end. they were almost unexpectedly expected if that makes sense.
this book 100% reminded me of the netflix show ‘you’ and has many factors of the show the second main character logan rlly gave off joe goldberg vibes he was legitimately the spitting image of the guy. it was great.
in the beginning the main character delilah rlly pissed me off w how she let her moms boyfriend walk all over her and her mom but she felt like there was nothing she could do so from a certain standpoint i can understand but once the book started to rlly kick into the story/plot i grew to like her a lot more.
anyway, the book was a great read i rlly enjoyed it.

🐈‍⬛book review - beneath the hood by emily mcintire
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4.5 stars
🌶🌶🌶3.5 spiciness
🕊summary by the author:
(blakely)
My life is a stage.
Followed by millions, and loved by none.
And me, the captain of control, steering my image through choppy waters.
Making sure I stay on top.
No one ever sees me.
No one ever looks.
Until him
But he's everything impossible, and a thousand shades of wrong.
Falling for him would ruin everything I've worked for.
So why can't I stay away?
(jackson)
My life is a back-up plan.
Surrounded by friends, and loved by none.
And me, the king of heartbreak, gluing my pieces back together.
Making sure they stick.
No one ever sees me.
No one ever looks.
Until her.
But she's everything off-limits, and a thousand shades of sin
Falling for her would ruin everything I've-worked for.
So why won't she stay away?
🐈‍⬛my thoughts: ughhhh i loved this tbh. first, i love emily’s stories and definitely will be reading every single book she puts out. i love how she puts the book in both povs like a wattpad book; one chapter would be blakelys pov and the other would be jackson’s and i enjoy that very much so kudos to her. this is an age gap plot and i’m ngl i love age gap tropes (legal ones 😟) i also love spicy books if you know what i mean and there’s a good amount of spicy scenes and tension in this along w all of her other books which i’m all for. i love how jackson started off disliking blakely solely bc he thought she was annoying bc he didn’t rlly see her. he saw her as some social media rich bratty girl up until he started getting close to her and realizing she has her own real issues just like any other person. the pace in this is so good, it’s not too fast nor is it slow. it’s perfectly paced w enough tension to last the rest of the book. i loved the character development as well w her and her father. there was a part in the book where i had to put it down for a few days just bc it made me upset lol. but it all worked out in the end. if you don’t put a book down from being angry at a chapter then the book isn’t hitting the right way

🐈‍⬛book review - my secret to tell by natalie d. richards
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars
🕊summary written by the author: Emerson May is the "good girl." She's the perfect daughter, the caring friend, the animal shelter volunteer, But when her best friend's brother
breaks into her room, his hands covered in blood, she doesn't scream or call the cops. Because when Deacon smiles at her, Emmie doesn't want to be good.
The whole town believes notorious troublemaker Deacon is guilty of assaulting his father. Only Emmie knows the secret that could set him free. But if she follows her heart, she could be helping a killer..
You can't always trust the boy next door.
🐈‍⬛my thoughts: firstly, i rlly love the cover. that’s sorta what drew me to this book other than the summary. i rlly liked how this author pulled me right in w the prologue. this book is a thriller w just the right amount of romance and the TWIST!! is literally crazy i didn’t even see it coming tbh. i rlly liked how she portrayed her characters but what i didn’t like was when they would have kind of like a disagreement as if the author was trying to add “spice” to their relationship but it was kinda just awkward w what they were even arguing ab being kinda pointless. idk if that made any sense. anyway deacon i loved bc he rlly wasn’t a bad guy he just got that title after his family’s tragedy. i’ll definitely be reading more of natalie’s books

🐈‍⬛book review - you’ve reached sam by dustin thao
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4.5 stars
- i actually rlly enjoyed this book. granted, i did read the summary but only after i read a sample of the beginning of the book before buying it and getting into the realness of it all. but i guess i didn’t fully understand bc half way through the read i didn’t realize the entirety of the book. i definitely felt a resemblance to the main character in this bc losing someone can be difficult and her getting a phone call from said person whom she’s lost is just unbelievably crazy and just something that would be a dream. i hate expressing myself and this book made me do exactly that like it hit a sweet spot in one part of the book so that’s pretty cool. i love the title that the author picked it fits so well and just sams character was so lovable he was a great person and was loved by many. this is definitely a sad heart wrenching story soo lock your tears in a freezer if you don’t wanna see them drop on your pages
my memory is so trash i definitely need to write my reviews as soon as i finish the book or else i’ll blank 💀

hellooo!! i wanted to make my own blog of reviewing all of the books i’ve read giving my opinions and thoughts on them and stuff. it’s more of a mental note for me just to keep track of how i felt after reading my “current reads” and things i guess. i originally wanted to do this on instagram but felt like it’d be more personal if i made this account happen on here :3 i also could’ve done this in my notes app but we digress
