Slater Leaves Quiksilver
I don't have inside sources. I don't have any details. But it looks to me like this is real deal.
This is only the natural progression, and its great kelly is starting his own company (under the Kering Group who also owns Volcom). After all, he has experienced a lot and he should take all of that and turn it into a brand, hell i'll buy whatever he sells.
Over the years he made enough money from quiksilver and he doesn't really owe them anything. Im sure both parties are extremely satisfied with the years they worked together.
This will give the GOAT the opportunity to get creative and do what he wants in the industry. I for one am really excited to see what comes of this.

What a sick clip. These guys are charging gnarly cold conditions. Sammer Hammer is looking so smooth out there. Those carves are textbook. - Anthony

This guy is definitely an inspiration to surfing. Derek Rabelo is blind and surfs! Imagine surfing with your eyes closed? Respect goes out to Derek along with Makua whom gave him a fresh board! Perhaps Derek's story will inspire other persons like him to try surfing!

This photo was taken a couple thousand miles away from New York in San Sebastian, Spain. The surf schools were scoring some party waves before the winter arrived. If you climb the mountain in the background you can see the coast of France! A beautiful city, beach and ocean.

Surfline posted a half hour movie called Six Weeks on the North Shore: The Movie. They say "It is a pilgrimage like no other, offering equal parts gore and glory. An island that's as hostile as it is holy. A beachfront where the potential is envisioned, the consequences are real, and the bravest, most bewildering acts on boards of all shapes and sizes manifest in the most pressurized environment imaginable. It's the North Shore of Oahu, Hawaii. And for at least six weeks every winter, there's no place like it on Earth." Check it out! Spitting barrels, board shorts, roundhouse cutbacks, airs, go pro footy, beautiful women and much more. Thirty minutes of film presenting the lifestyle that every surfer dreams about. This lifestyle resides in Hawaii. This is the trailer.
Below is the link to the full movie on surfline in case you have the time to sit back, relax and fiend to surf. Enjoy!!!

Hmmm? Who would have expected this commercial to be about drinking Jägermeister let alone going surfing? Snowboarding would of been nice being that the mountains were powder covered. I guess one can say that a frigid cold shot of Jäger after a gnarly surf session in the arctic is legit. Anyway, pretty cool commercial that quickly documents a trip to the coast while seeing some amazing landscape and nature.

Here is a quick edit we pasted together from our recent trip to Puerto Rico. With only our GoPros on hand capturing surfing footage was a tough task, but we made it happen. We hope you enjoy watching it just as much as we enjoyed living it. - Mike

This video gives dick riding a whole new meaning. Surprisingly the thing actually rips. Funny little video from the fish, like always. Characters like the fish are why surfing is so great. - Anthony

These dudes put together a film made up of one years worth of footage. It is almost a documentary that presents us with spitting barrels, duck hunting, saving whales, fishing, surfing Hurricane Sandy and many other things worth seeing. Basically everything outdoors. They are from the east coast and scored a years worth of fun! Its a long film but a fun one! They have a page http://vimeo.com/thewildlyfe
Enjoy

We shared the beach with construction workers for many months after Hurricane Sandy. I remember running up to those sand dunes in anticipation of what the waves looked like. Im so glad to see the boardwalk rebuilt and the progress our beach towns have made.

The ...Lost riders embody the brand so well. A perfect example is Chris Ward, the guy is nuts. At 3:39 he is throwing rocks into the lineup and throws a head kick later in the video. - Anthony
