With the new year just around the corner, it’s time to get your body feeling fresh and rejuvenated for the year ahead. Here at FF, right here on Tumblr Live, we are taking the pain out of exercise and making it joyful for mind, body, and spirit. 🏃 Because when your body feels good, your mind will do, too. And this week, it’s all about: Full Body Stretch! We are here to tone and to lengthen your body into better health and wellbeing with fun sequences aimed at warming up your muscles and your mood. And it’s not for athletes or sculptures: this is a class for every body! All you need for flex Friday is some feel-good, and ready move. No pressure, no competition, all fun. 🏋️
All fun, you say? We’ve got just the person: in 5, 6, 7, 8… work! Say hello again, to Ana Clarke! We think you may have met…
It’s a party every time with an Ana class! She brings infectious, playful, and undeniable energy in buckets! One thing is for sure, and she will get you athletic from the first minute the class begins! She is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, and whose hero is her mom; who raised her and her two older siblings all on her own. Ana’s got the certificates to prove it, too: National Personal Training Association Certification (NPTA), Associates Degree in Dance (Dean College), Certificate in Dance Theater (AMDA), EFTI (Equinox Fitness Training Institution). You’re in very good hands, that’s for sure. She is here to help you feeling your very best you, and have some fun, too.

Let’s bust these 3 myths on 👏prenatal strength training👏 once and for all. Here are the facts: ⚡️ Truth 1: Resistance training is proven to be beneficial for both mother and baby. Some of the positives: shorter labors, less chance of preterm deliveries, fewer complications, and quicker recoveries. ⚡️ Truth 2: While both walking and yoga are wonderful additions to a prenatal training program, functional strength training (think: squats, deadlifts, rows) helps alleviate pregnancy discomfort AND prepares you for #momlife once the baby has arrived!  ⚡️ Truth 3: Don’t be afraid to lift heavy (rule of thumb: keep your rated perceived exertion at 6-7/10)! That muscular strength will come in handy during labor and while you raise your ever-growing 👶!
As always, don’t forget to check in with your doctor about prenatal training.

It’s that time of year again, though we don’t blame you if you wish it wasn’t. After all, darker mornings, darker evenings. Colder days, colder nights. And that really is, to say the least, but don’t panic—we here at Tumblr have one or two tricks up our sleeve. Allow us to demonstrate.
We’ve partnered with wellness brands, creators, yogis, and mental health gurus to bring you this year’s Holiday Blues campaign. It may be the holiday season, but for some, this is a time to endure, not enjoy. We hope our small acts of self-care can help to make a big and important difference. It’s not hard to feel overwhelmed right now, after all, what with an ongoing pandemic, climate anxiety, and an economic crisis. It is, in short, a lot. And that’s without the annual endurance that is SAD, otherwise known as Seasonal Affective Disorder.
But where self-care can feel like a burden of time, energy, and money, Tumblr is bringing these small acts of kindness straight to you: for very little time, very little energy, and without spending a dime.
How does it work?
It could not be simpler: simply turn up, and we will do the work. Over the next six weeks, right here on Tumblr, we have gathered a few friends to host live classes: mindfulness exercises, playlists, interactive quizzes, fitness classes, and maybe even a dance party.
What can I expect?
Mindful Mondays: Some morning meditations with Heal Haus. Did we mention it’s live?
Wellness Wednesdays: Mood-boosting tips, tricks, and playlists.
Flex Friday: Let's get those endorphins flowing with our friends at obé Fitness. All levels are welcome!
Self-Care Sunday: Where writing meets dancing… and it all leads to self-discovery.

There’s always a little time for a little self-love. Showing up is the hardest bit. We will gladly take it from there.
No stress, whatever the weather. We hope you enjoy it as much as we will!
Your healing journey, your way. Attend the classes that make you feel a little better. Make it to every class, make it the same class each week, or make it just one, or two, or three… you do you, the way you want to!
