Happy Love Day ❤️! Here's a little brass Goddess Elf to remind you that the YOU are the entire universe in a breath. Together we create the lifeblood of a big, giant, collective heart. I make my art as a reminder that there is a constant, loving energy available to all beings everywhere. I see these divine feminine figures as little protectors of that love, reminders that it is there for us always. Valentine's Day can be heavy sometimes, BUT it doesn't matter if you're alone, or with a partner, you are literally made out of love, it's all around you. . . . . . . First image is a Goddess pendant handmade using sheet brass, copper wire, and leather. Second image is my oil painting titled "Lotus", currently on display at the Peace Nation Cafe until the end of the month. I'm having fun referencing my paintings in the jewelry. Just wanted to share what I made and finished today. New brass pieces !Inspired by my oil paintings, I'm creating these divine figures by drawing them onto the metal, sawing them by hand out of sheet brass, hammering for texture, hanging them on brown leather with wire fastenings, sealing with a clear coat so they stay bright and polished. In these pictures: The Oracle, and Dreaming Spirit. Available on Etsy this evening. This is so cool. An app that allows me to see the art I make literally come to life. . . . I made this sculpture out of paper clay, a ripped up copy of Charles Darwin's Origin of Species, and acrylic paint. New classes start this week! As always I'll be teaching tonight, Steamy Restorative Yin, and Hot Vinyasa Wednesday night at @saugertieshotyoga ! Also: New classes start this week at @hotspotkingston !!Tuesday and Thursday noon-1pm, and Friday morning 9:30 I'll be teaching Hot Hatha. With all of the different passions, manifestations, and new doors opening all at once in my life, a personal yoga practice has been my space to heal, dive inward, and settle into deep listening...to all parts of my inner world. All of my creative outlets are beginning to merge into each other. This is a design for a pendent I'd like to create (now that @andrewkaminskiart and I have finally manifested a real live studio space/gallery down the block from our apartment!!) A little sneaky peak of my children's book, I'm in the final stages, setting it up on InDesign. Going to get the original illustrations scanned in high res with color correction, this is just a sample. Plan is to print some manuscripts and start submitting them to publishers! After a WHILE drawing upper & lower case lettering, scanning it in, vectorizing, getting a new adobe illustrator extension which allows the lettering to become type-able, working with the folks at #fontself (who were extremely helpful) I have my own alphabet! Which means my children's book is one step closer to being complete. I named the font "Spirit Root". #font #illustrator #type #art #artist #book #graphicdesign

This oil painting still needs a few layers & some gradients but it's alllmmmosstt there. I see this pattern printed on the inside cover of the children's book I've been working on. It will also be available as a poster. And maybe leggings. 😉Here's a stream of consciousness about the painting: Titled "Thought Patterns" It starts when I see a thought passing through my mind that is rooted in polarized thinking and comes from the monkey brain, telling me to just survive, be fearful and be separate...this is the refusal to submit to that mindset...this painting captures the moment when that black and white thought transforms into a rainbow spectrum...and instead I choose love, I choose to let go of all fear and limiting "should and shouldn't" and pull myself out of that darkness and dive into a glowing trust inside of myself...this painting is the moment of expansion of my awareness...the surrendering into beauty, remembering what a miracle it is to be alive and breathing in this moment...meditating on peace. #painting #yoga #oilpainting #art #thoughts #streamofconsciousness #meditation #meditating #sacredgeometry #artist #create #peace #expansion #mindfulness
