If you have ever been seperated from a person you loved, you would know how it goes.

During the initial phase, you miss them terribly.

Your heart and your body can't catch up with the fact that you are not close to them anymore.

You can't sleep. You don't eat. Afterall everything was better with them in your life.

And your body has gotten used to being warm and safe and being held.

Eventually you settle into your new reality trying to ignore how hollow your heart feels. But then they show up in your dreams from time to time. You smile only to wake up a few minutes later, confused and disappointed in your reality.

The dreams become more frequent and almost every night you dream of them. But that's okay atleast you have a reason to fall asleep again.
