i’ve been thinking about getting a tattoo for twilight for a few years now but i have yet to come up with an idea for it. i want something that’s like very niche and subtle but still iconic? does that make sense? like there are hundreds of tiktoks with „funny“ twilight tattoo ideas but yeah, they’re just not it.

one idea that i came up with and actually quite like is a fork because yk, forks. you should also know that my tattoo style is focused on very small and simple tattoos, so we can’t do like a too detailed one. here’s a picture of one of my tattoos so that you know what i mean. i just know the fork would fit soooo well in the same place on the other wrist, wouldn’t it?? i looove, but i‘m not 100% sold so i want other ideas.

sooooo, does anyone have any ideas? i’d be so grateful 😭 sorry for the rambling.

we were so robbed of a halloween party hosted at the cullen house in both the books and the movies. you just KNOW alice would've planned the FUCK out of a halloween party. edward in the most pretentious costume you've ever seen (some niche 18th century poet. bella and alice had to convince him to even dress up at all, so this was the compromise), alice in a gorgeous, historically accurate joan of arc costume which everyone spends the whole night complimenting and wondering where on earth she got it (carlisle's antiques collection. knowing him, it's probably the real thing), and jacob turns up 2 hours late in a shitty vampire cloak, white face paint, plastic fangs and the biggest shit eating grin you've ever seen. edward spends most of the night glarring at him from across the room while standing in the corner pretending to sip from his red solo cup. god, what a missed opportunity.

okay does anyone have any like „fandom recommendations“? i don’t know if this sounds weird but i haven’t watched or read anything new to me in ages and i would just love to get into something new. just to like experience and fall in love with everything for the first time again and all that good stuff. can you guys recommend anything? i‘m not even sure how to describe what i‘m looking for because i don’t even know 😭

so first of all, THANK YOU for creating this podcast. it just may be the best thing that’s happened in this entire century, apart from twilight coming into existence in general.

i found your podcast as i was desperately seeking some new way of filling every single second of my day with consuming twilight in any shape or form. i mean truly, one can only listen to the audio books while working from home so many times, which for me was every single working day for three years. not. exaggerating.

letting that sink in, imagine my reaction when you revealed your tumblr and ao3 names in the early days of the podcast and i realized that it’s made by literally my favorite bloggers/fanfiction authors in this fandom. i may or may not have full stopped in the middle of the street. seriously, i’ve been reading your works for years and i eat it up every single time.

anywaysss, now that that’s out of the way, the reason for this ask is because i can’t seem to find show notes for episode 17 – “big jeep energy” and i was looking for them because i was wondering if g ever remembered the name of esme’s dead son that the fans voted for at a q&a? sorry if you’ve already answered this or posted about it on here, i just didn’t find anything!

once again, thank you for creating this podcast, you and all your guests are a joy to listen to and it’s so refreshing to listen to someone talk about twilight in the same way that i would!

After accidentally killing two humans in Houston, Jasper and Emmett decide not to face the music this time. They go on a joyride self-imposed exile driving through Florida while they wait for their red eyes to fade. Alligators! Brain-eating amoebas! Skunk apes! The Replay Museum! Lightning strikes everywhere and sharks with an attitude! Who wants to go to another stupid funeral when you could be floating around a bioluminescent lagoon? Oops I mean taking a spiritual retreat to think about what you did.

Sometimes, maybe even often, Rosalie and Emmett lay side by side, pretending to sleep. They can keep this up for hours - immortality affords, by necessity, this sort of patience.

They can still hear the bustling of their family around whatever home they have at the time. Carlisle, in his office, reading the most recent medical journals. Esme talking quietly to Edward as he plays her sonatas. Alice, flicking through fashion magazines to paste into her scrapbook, Jasper practicing a slow pace in that room.

They hear but they don't listen. They're listening to each other. Soft, carefully chosen shifts under the covers to feel human. A twitch of the fingers, tapping the mattress. A slow breath in through the nose, a slow breath back out.

It's peaceful, on a good day. On a bad day, Rosalie can't help but smell him. The faint smell of death all over him, especially concentrated from his mouth. It doesn't bother him. She knows it doesn't. But it bothers her. She did this to him, by bringing him to Carlisle.

She doesn't regret what she did, but she resents herself for it. How can she hate Carlisle for what he did to her when she brought Emmett to the exact same fate? She imagines she can taste bile rising from her throat instead of rot.

Eyes still closed, Rosalie imagines reaching for Emmett. She imagines how his eyes would widen as she pushed her hand down his throat. He wouldn't stop her - it would be uncomfortable, but she couldn't harm him this way. She would reach, reach, and reach, until she got to the pit of her love's stomach. She imagines scraping it clean, scooping all the animal blood, all the stinking liquids that remain in there.

It would only make him thirsty. It wouldn't free him, and it wouldn't free her.

Emmett puts his hand gently on hers, and she realises she'd brought her fingers to his lips. Their eyes open. She feels and sees him smile.

"You're safe, Rose," she says, as if he's caught her in a bad dream. "We're safe."
