It’s a local legend about a woman’s spirit bound by a red string, left waiting for a lover who never returned. Rumor has it, if you’re alone and feel a sudden, cold tug on your wrist, never look down"

They say mediums are especially prone to encountering her but personally, I avoid places she’s rumored to haunt. I carry blessed beads and make deals with friendly spirits to warn me. If a spirit like her won’t leave, I might even talk to it, find its weak spot"

"Sometimes, that’s all it takes to break the hold hehe~ and then…. Huh, I completely forgot what happened after that but I do remember that I got a cool-looking battle scar from her. That’s an achievement"

It’s no surprise that with the formation of the Division Rap Battles by the Japanese Government (also known as Chuohku), many teams have been formed either through coercion or by their own volition, with those teams come many high profile people or very prolific celebrities both old and young. Relationship: Family - Ishihara Daisuke

Tsushima Daisuke (47 years old) — Ishihara’s father. He is a senior priest and the head of the local shrine in Ōita. Described as wise, kind, and somewhat old-fashioned. He is well-liked by the people in the neighborhood. Many visitors come to receive good fortune and blessings from the shrine that has recently gained popularity. He takes great pride in his family’s shrine which has stood for generations and dedicates himself to its care. When Ishihara was young, he admired his father greatly and they shared a loving father-son relationship. However, everything changed when Ishihara's gift emerged, bringing strange and unexplained misfortunes into their lives. This caused his father to start avoiding him with the feeling of shame and fear and their once close relationship deteriorated. Ishihara was allowed to stay in the house until he turned 20 but as time passed, his self-centeredness spiraled out of control which led to frequent fights between the brothers. Eventually, his father had no choice but to kick him out, leaving Ishihara with nothing until he matured enough to repent for his attitude.

Kanae Daisuke † — Ishihara’s mother. She is the daughter of the neighboring local shrine and was initially in an arranged marriage to Tsushima but the two fell in love and were blessed with five children. She used to work alongside her husband, helping to manage the shrine. A hardworking and loving mother, she had no issues with her son's gift, unlike his father. Instead, she believed it might have been passed down from her ancestors who were said to see paranormal activities that others could not. Despite the many misfortunes that befell her family, she always loved Ishihara unconditionally. He has countless fond memories of her that he cherishes but she tragically passed away after giving birth to her last son, Koutarou, leaving Tsushima to raise their six sons alone.

Rindo Daisuke (31 years old) — Ishihara’s older brother and the eldest of the four brothers. After their mother passed away, Rindo voluntarily took over her responsibilities, managing the shrine diligently and becoming their father's favorite. He is a serious person who prioritizes work and is known for his bluntness, never hesitating to speak his mind. Despite this, he is well-liked by others and deeply cares for his family—except for Ishihara. Rindo views Ishihara as a bane. He criticizes his cockiness and his peculiar gift. He also had a terrible grudge against him, accusing Ishihara of being mentally unstable and most importantly, blame for their mother's death. This tension has resulted in frequent, intense fights between them, preventing any semblance of a good relationship. Ever since Ishihara was kicked out of the house, he has had no contact with his family and feels relieved that he no longer has to see Rindo.

Junpei Daisuke (28 years old) — Ishihara’s second older brother. Like their father, Junpei works as a priest at their local shrine. He is a genuine and carefree young man who lives by the motto "Go with the flow." Junpei is charmingly kind to others and very affectionate toward his family, often acting as a peacemaker between Rindo and Ishihara by using his persuasive skills to resolve their conflicts. Ishihara generally has no issues with Junpei and even appreciates his kindness, especially compared to how Rindo and their father treat him. However, he sometimes finds his older brother to be a nuisance, particularly when he recalls instances where Junpei sided with their father in the past. They haven’t spoken ever since Ishihara was kicked out of the house, although Junpei frequently sends text messages that Ishihara tends to ignore.

Yudai Daisuke (22 years old) — Ishihara’s younger brother and works as a groundskeeper and is primarily responsible for gardening at the local shrine. Among the brothers, Yudai is often misunderstood due to his stern, angry-looking face and his loud voice whenever he loses his temper. His loud and sometimes brusque manner of speaking can come off as rude, causing a lot of misunderstandings; that’s why making interactions is difficult for him. Yudai is actually kind and compassionate. He takes meticulous care of the plants and is very protective of his family. He used to get along well with Ishihara and admired him greatly. However, their relationship fell apart as Ishihara's behavior became cruel and rebellious against the family, leaving Yudai feeling disappointed with no intention of seeing Ishihara again.

Koutarou Daisuke (19 years old) — Ishihara’s second younger brother and is responsible for distributing omamori charms at the local shrine. As the youngest child in the family, Koutarou has a soft-spoken nature and a gentle demeanor. He tends to view the world with innocence and often becomes emotional, particularly when witnessing the conflicts between Rindo and Ishihara. Koutarou dislikes seeing his family members fight and refuses to take sides. To him, he felt he was the one responsible for their mother's death and eagerly defended Ishihara from Rindo's accusation. Despite the tensions within the family and the resentment some of the family hold towards Ishihara, Koutarou (along with Junpei) remains steadfast in his love for his brothers, nevertheless. Especially, he harbors a deep desire for Ishihara to return home and wishes for reconciliation and harmony among his siblings.

Sen is young at his age but he actually doesn’t go to school so the only job he can do for a living is doing daily errands for other people.

But whenever he has free time, Sen usually strolls around the streets looking for scraps or twigs to make twig figures out of hobby.

Shinji Nabatani † — Sen’s father. He doesn’t know much about his father but based on what Teijo has told him, he has mixed feelings toward him, feeling both anger and disappointment over his father's crimes and death. Yet, he also feels a hint of sympathy and believes there must have been a reason behind the robbery and thinks that his father might have been a good man at heart. Sen can’t shake the feeling that something is off about his father's sudden changes, prompting him to investigate on his own. He also visits his father's grave next to his mother's every month.

Ine Nabatani † — Sen’s mother. It’s sad to say that Sen doesn’t know his own mother well; he can barely remember what she looks like since he was just an infant when she passed away. However, Teijo shows him some old pictures of her and shares stories about what she was like back then. Even though she is long gone, he believes his mother was a great mom and feels a deep connection to her, expressing pride in being her son. He and Teijo visit her grave every month to honor her memory.

Teijo Masakuza (29 years old) — Sen’s uncle. At first, he doesn’t fully know about Teijo, considering his so-called uncle and the people around him to be unknown creatures that he’s hostile and defensive. Sen often attempts to attack them whenever they come close, leading to his forced placement in a welfare clinic. Once there, he began to reform and gradually adapted to social life. Eventually understanding his predicament. Afterward, Teijo gained custody of him, allowing Sen to live with his uncle. After a few years together and numerous heart-to-heart conversations, Sen found happiness in his peaceful life and developed a strong bond with Teijo, fostering a loving family dynamic. Thanks to months of basic teaching, Sen is now calm and able to act and speak normally, although he still needs to work on his conscience and vocabulary.

Funi — Sen’s fox friend. Originally, Funi inhabited the forest but she followed Sen when he was taken away by the rescue team to Oita. She has been a loyal companion and best friend throughout his life in the wilderness. He found her as a helpless little fox trapped in a cage set by hunters and freed her. After that, they unexpectedly kept running into each other, feeling a deep connection as if they were destined to be friends. As the years passed, they became inseparable, surviving together in the forest. Sen grew fond of having her around and decided to name her Funi. She often hangs around their home, usually found napping on Sen’s hammock. Although Teijo initially tried to shoo her away, he eventually gave in and allowed her to visit anytime.

Homei Masakuza (56 years old) — He is currently retired and lives with his wife, Rioko in a suburb far from Oita. Since high school, he has had a strained relationship with his father. Homei was a good man who always sought to provide the best for his children and guide them toward the right path but his flaw was insisting they adhere strictly to his rules. He was particularly upset by Teijo's delinquent behavior which resulted in numerous complaints from both the school and local residents. Their constant arguments escalated until Teijo ultimately broke away and selfishly left home for good. Since then, neither he nor his father has spoken to the other and they both continue to blame one another for the deterioration of their relationship, believing it’s best to avoid seeing each other altogether.

Rioko Masakuza (55 years old) — Teijo’s mother. She lives in the suburbs with her husband. Rioko is the one person Teijo doesn’t want to argue with as she shows him more sympathy than anyone else. She believes in the kind person he can be deep down despite his rebellious phase. After his fights with their father, Rioko often comforts him and offers advice on managing his outbursts. When he leaves the house, she is left in tears. Was heartbroken by the thought that she somehow contributed to his suffering and later, by the loss of her daughter, Ine. Teijo hasn’t spoken to his mother ever since he left. He regrets that he may never have the chance to apologize. Although he doesn’t know how she is coping, he can't shake the guilt of knowing he has made her sad.

Ine Nabatani † — Teijo’s older sister. She is a painter and one of the family members with whom Teijo gets along well. Described as mature and headstrong, she has a tomboyish nature and often affectionately bullies him. Despite their family feuds, she deeply cares for her brother and loves her family the most. To her, it doesn't matter that her brother is a delinquent; she believes he has a good heart. A few years later, she married Shinji and moved out of the family home to start a life with her new husband. Shortly after, she gave birth to a newborn baby. Teijo lost track of his sister after that, only to discover the tragic news that she and her husband were found dead after accidentally falling off a cliff while their baby went missing.

Shinji Nabatani † — Teijo’s brother-in-law and Ine's husband. He works as a paramedic and is described as bashful and soft-spoken, though he displays a bit of confidence during work. Ine met Shinji at a matchmaking party and they became a cute couple for years before eventually getting married and having a newborn son together. Teijo views Shinji as the opposite of Ine—somehow decent but still weak. He admits that Shinji is a good match for his sister, especially considering how much he loves Ine and appreciates her strong personality. Teijo gets along well with Shinji, feeling as though he is part of the family. He was genuinely happy for the Nabatani couple as they built a life together until everything changed. Shinji committed robbery, dragging Ine into his escape from the police, which tragically led to their deaths. Teijo couldn't believe the outcome and found it impossible to forgive Shinji for leading his sister to her demise.

Sen (15 years old) — Teijo’s long-lost nephew. Sen is the only family Teijo has left in this world, having chosen to ignore his parents' existence. Surprisingly, Sen survived the collision and Teijo is determined to raise him to be civilized even though he struggles with parenting a child with wild behavior. Teijo feels angry at himself but also sorry for Sen’s current state, regretting that he couldn’t find his nephew sooner. He spends his time teaching Sen everything he knows about human manners to help him fit into society. Currently, they have established a stable uncle-nephew relationship and are committed to supporting each other through their troubles. Before his sister's death, she entrusted him with the responsibility of taking care of Sen if anything were to happen to her. Following that tragic event, Teijo made a promise to take full responsibility for him.
