Aaaand here we are at our final guest art for this round, an utterly jaw-dropping work by super-talented mate, Rini! I’m sure I don’t have to tell you (as it is readily apparent from this illustration) that Rini is just incredible at drawing characters with soft, luxuriant appeal and smooth, lively lines. Moreover, she has done some truly brilliant equine and centaur art, ergo, getting LHstuffs from her has been something of a grail for me >:3 Suffice it to say, her gorgeous rendition of Tarsus and Hennym is a thrilling and perfect way to close out Guest Month. fanworks aren’t “content.” they’re pieces of joy and wonder. 

content is a placeholder word used by social media sites to talk about the pieces of flotsam and jetsam that keep people using the site so they can be advertised to. 

I want to get back to talking about stories and paintings and videos. talk about the art that people are creating, fueled by their passions and interests. 

when I write a post, I’m not “creating content.” I’m not filling a box for other people to to “engage” with. I’m sharing a thought for other people to consider. they can agree or disagree with it. they can share it or ignore it as they see fit. 

“content creator” is a generic term created by corporations to describe a vast and multi-faceted group of people by the thing they do to benefit the corporation.

“consumer” is a generic term created by corporations to describe a vast and multi-faceted group of people by the thing they do to benefit the corporation. 

“engagement” is a metric that corporations use to determine whether a “content creator” is “consumed” enough to be worth running ads next to.

I want fandom to be full of writers and artists and fans, and I want the focus to be on joy and creation and celebrating each other. fandom isn’t a business. it’s a community.

Fala’s art is an absolute delight that, even when the world is burning, always sends me straight to my happy place. look at his dreamy colors! those languid watery forms! WHAT’S UP WITH THAT DEER WITH EYES ON ITS BACK I love it <3

i’ve been drawing the daily cringetober challenges! the prompts thus far have been:

2. animal ears (feat. my partner’s oc, cyric)

3. 2000’s alt fashion (inspired by punkyfish)

6. fake screenshot (i did the sailor moon redraw challenge for mine since i can’t mimic styles)

9. lots of belts (feat. another of rainy’s ocs, nicodemus)

10. blue hair

oh my gosh, i am such a huge fan of sully’s work (and of sully as a person! we’re very good friends and i’m so glad of it :3), i’m thrilled to have a LH piece of hers to put up for guest month! the shapes, the lighting, the colours… Sully’s art is so unique and appealing, you simply must check it out for yourself (and she’s working on a super cool comic called Art Walkers that you should absolutely stay tuned for!)

The festival week was awesome, it’s now over and our Annecy opening is finally out ! Here is “Le Serpent Blanc” / “The White Snake” that I made with the talented @mathildeloubes @mathildejr @carnetvore @mollejames @toriknew
