#Movie Gang Suzume rewatch number 5-

10/10, extra points for pretty boys and hitting me right in the feels. As always, I will have the soundtrack stuck in my head for the next few months.

Additional notes-

- I would like to picnic in those ruins. You know the ones. Scenery is a 10.

- Serizawa the true MVP of this movie. What a guy. Movie squad approved.

- If you looked up wet cat in the dictionary Daijin would be right there.

- We can only aspire to the levels of clothing thievery Suzume has going on.

I know "designated detective boys baby sitter Kudo Shinichi" is a common post conan trope. But i raise ypu "Cant be trusted to baby sit specifically the detective boys bc hes gotten to used to looking into these literal seven year olds eyes. Hes 3 times there size and still differs to them like peers. He WILL pull out his goofy little pin and ask them to be his comically effective surveillance system against a dangerous criminal."

An addition-

There is a rota of special guests from the Conan cast depending on who has the best tea. Conan generally has a good overview of the latest events, but he's not present for absolutely everything and there's nothing like having a firsthand perspective. Some notable guests:

• Ayumi, Genta and Mitsuhiko don't often join them at the nail salon, but this is because they all insist that Conan does it best, so he paints their nails later. They often like to match or have a collective theme. Haibara relishes in the chance to needle Shinichi for gossip and WILL join them at the nail salon- when it suits her. Generally she will share the latest embarrassing news about Conan, much to his dismay.

• Heiji has tagged along before, but this generally results in the group splitting up, as Conan and Heiji tend to start on the inside jokes and whispers whenever sat in a room together for more than two minutes. Sonoko finds this extremely irritating. What's the point in a gossip session where she's excluded from half of the details?!

•Kaito tried to weasel his way in once. He LOVES mani-pedis and gossip. He is insulted he hadn't heard about it sooner. How could he have missed this? As the nail tech he could be politely curious and chatty, while interacting directly with the group. Better yet, he can inquire about the latest scandals involving his meitantei. Unfortunately for him the latest gossip is his last heist, and Conan keeps trying to make him slip up and over share about things he shouldn't know in this persona. Unfortunately for both of them, even with the lack of murder, having the thief and detective in once place is sure to cause chaos. Cue the aforementioned robbery. Kaito's persona gets outed as Kid and Sonoko predictably fangirls, marking the end of their makeover session. It's hard to properly join in when you are the gossip.
