Can I write fanfics of your straw hat reverse au fanfic? I really like your ideas and want to write a straw hats meets reverse au but saw that you were planing on writing one yourself, so I wanted to ask for permission.

I’m slowly writing the reverse crews story. I still want to do it myself some day but it’s a massive undertaking and I’ve had a lot going on in my personal life.

That being said, the more the merrier.

So my dog has been super sick recently. Which has been really hard. My dad has traveled to be with me and as a distraction I making him watch One Piece for the first time.

We started from the beginning (so it will take me a while to get back to watching Sabaody) and got through the Romance Dawn episodes (1-9) last night.

He really likes it. But this leads me to my point.

I was watching Buggy and Luffy’s first fight. I know everyone is joking around right now about buggy reaching the One Piece first but in that first fight there is an interesting conversation.

Luffy: “I’m going to be king of the pirates”

Buggy: laughs “if you’re king of the pirates then I’m god.”

Do you know how funny it would be if Buffy fails upwards and instead of getting the one piece becomes the new god. Like not an actual god like Nika but everyone believes he is. Peak comedy.

Horrible idea, but:

Marineford au, in which everyone survived. (At least on whitebeards side. Something Something Marco awakening his devil fruit after seeing his family die around him)

Happy end, right?

Exept that Ace is going through major Angst because A) realization that the family he loves would (and could) have died because of him and B) the uprise of people trying to assassinate him.

No matter where he goes, everyone knows who and (more importantly) whose son he is.

He is seen as the son of the devil, a demon that shouldn't have been born

There isn't a place in the world where he is safe, no matter how much his family tries .

So here’s the thing. I have always seen Ace survives Marineford as having this problem. Everyone now knows who he is.

The government wants him dead. His bounty is going to sky rocket and while we normally see that as a good thing it’s not because of any feat he has done. He hasn’t earned his bounty. And that would hurt. He’s tried his whole life to separate himself from his father and now all of his accomplishments are forever over shadowed by his blood.

It’s also dangerous because his abilities are now over stated (to the general public and other crews) we see in the show how people react to Luffy and the crews different bounties and how much they are treated like a threat or a joke. If Ace’s bounty sky rockets because of his connection to Roger and not his skill the people coming after him are planning to take down someone of let’s say Kaido’s strength and Ace isn’t there. (We are seeing this with Buggy and Cross Guild in the cannon where Buggy’s strength doesn’t match his bounty. And while we are making memes out of it the man has to be stressed)

The Whitebeard’s can try to shield him but they aren’t what they used to be. Even if Whitebeard survives they got out by the skin of their teeth and the arrival of Shanks. While Marineford is them fighting on enemy territory with a mass disadvantage it’s still going to effect the reputation. And even if Whitebeard loved he’s not fighting fit and the world knows that. Marcos and the crew can probably repeal some people but can they full shield Ace the way they could before the war? No.

In fact it would probably be a constant struggle for the next two years. Maybe at some point Ace disappears for a while but in reality he’s met up with Rayleigh and Luffy and joined in on training up his Haki. (And spending time with his little brother)

By the time Luffy and crew are ready to hit the sea again, Ace’s life is in constant danger. And remains so until Wano. Wano where his baby brother beats the pants off of Kaido and becomes the new emperor of the sea. The new emperor of the sea who has a very public tigh to Ace and has already destroyed Enies Lobby to get back one crew member, successfully broke into and out of Impel Down leading a large prison break to Marineford where he publicly declared Ace his brother and fought to save him once already.

Now it’s not the Whitebeard name shielding Ace but Luffy’s. It’s not being the son of the King of the Pirates that gives him infamy but being the brother of the future king of the pirates Monkey D. Luffy. Even if Luffy doesn’t publicly declare Ace as under his protection you would have to be stupid not to understand that these two would go to war for one another.

Honestly Whitebeard’s statues probably got downgraded depending on how badly they got their butts handed to them in the first place. They might join up as part of the Strawhat grand fleet. Whitebeard just wants to protect his kids and at this point he’s old, injured and not what he used to be. It Strawhat has already shown his loyalty to those that are his and Ace is already his.

Of Whitebeard can’t make a run for King of the Pirates anymore. Can’t protect his children and territories he might as well through his hat in with the person he knows is going to take care of them. Someone so much like Roger’s who believes in freedom above all else. (Shanks would be his second choice but the man has to many of his own plans. And it’s kind of obvious that Shanks has through his hat (or his arm) into Luffy’s ring long ago)

Now that’s idea one but idea 2

But this is where we get to have some fun with abilities, timelines, and shenanigans. Because let’s say Marcos’s phenixes ability when awakened is not just to heal but to burn away trauma for the point he can revive someone. When did the revival happen? Because if this happened at Marineford the Whitebeard’s get a second wind and can probably pull out a win in the fight. But everyone knows they survived and who Ace is.

If he does it after the fight. After Ace dies in front of Luffy and Luffy is whisked away. After the Whitebeards retreat. Looking over the bodies and grieving the loss, Marco unlocks his ability. Receiving Ace, Whitebeard, and the others, now we have some shenanigans.

Because Luffy doesn’t know that Ace is alive and Ace doesn’t know Luffy is alive. Maybe Ace lost his fruit maybe home didn’t but we can tackle that later.

The Whitebeards are hanging low until they get their strength back. No one in the government knows they survived and that’s the way it needs to stay. Until Luffy shows back up at Marineford to honor Ace.

Ace sees the news paper and he thought Luffy had died. He knew Jinbei had taken him away from the battle but no one could tell him where Luffy went or if he had survived his injuries. He wants to rush to Luffy and make sure his brother is okay. Marco has to tell him to slow down. If he races out and the world realizes he survived before he’s back at full strength he will just get captured again. But Ace is stubborn about seeing Luffy and making sure he’s okay.

They know he went to Marineford with Rayleigh so they use some connections to find the old man. He’s not about to tell them where Luffy is until Ace reveals himself. He agrees to take just Ace to see Luffy. After a reunion filled with tears Ace decides that the best way to build back up his strength is to stay and train with Luffy.

Now fruit? Did they keep their abilities? They technically died. So either yes they kept them, they lost them, or Marco restored their body and powers but the fruit also exist outside of them so two people can now have that ability. (Meaning Sabo can still get the Mera Mera and Blackbeard still gets Whitebeard’s fruit.) this is helpful to keep the story moving but also reinforcing the lie that the Whitebeards died.

If this is the case Ace and Luffy train their Haki and abilities together for two years. When Luffy is finally ready to burst back o to the scene so is Ace. Stronger than ever.

Again maybe the Whitebeard’s eventually join the grand fleet. If the world thought they were dead they don’t have their statues as emperor crew anymore but they would be a lot stronger in this version.

In both versions they Whitebeard’s help out with Wano and Ace and Sabo get to reunite.

I love this. I love how proud the Whitebeard commanders are of themselves.

They are like “look little sister. We brought the man who hurt you. We love you so much. Are you proud of us?”

But my favorite is Macro and Deuce envisioning Ace as a mom. Marco seeing her as gremlin that will bring her baby into a fight and be super scary and protective.

Deuce sees Ace as a loving protective mother. His vision is a lot softer and kinder.

They are both right. She would be both.

Once again thinking about @one-idea "the whitebeard pirates get a pregnancy scare because they assume shit" with female ace and Sabo.

Especially on how the misunderstanding gets resolved, with them attacking the guy that broke their little sisters heart.

(Meanwhile, Marco is suffering from the thought of ace as a more or less nurturing mother and that his co- doctor has less braincells than he first thought. )

Shanks raises ASL brother Masterlist

This involves a lot of rearranging of cannon events. But basically Shanks realizes that Luffy is living alone and promises him the next time he comes to Dawn island he’ll take Luffy with him. Crap finds out and take Luffy to Dadan, where he meets Ace and Sabo. Shanks returns just in time to stop the Bluejam pirates from separating the ASL brothers. He spends some time getting to know the other two boys and decides to take them with him.

The cookie saga continues years later.

Luffy finds out that Marco doesn't like cookies during Wano so he goes up to Sanji and asks him to make him golike cookies to "convert him". Sanji warns Luffy that peopke can have different tasyes and its not bad that Marco dislikes cookies, but he tries anyway.

Long story short, Luffy asked Chopper to put some of his pills in the batter when no one was looking and now Marco loves cookies.

They turned my pineapple man into a drug addict.

They would never drug someone. At least not a friend.

Counter argument. Sanji makes the cookies and they are the best cookies Marcos has ever had.

Now anytime the cookie saga is brought up he looks at Thatch (who’s alive) and Thatch looks back at him and says “don’t you dare say it.”

Marco “Sanji makes better cookies.”

Even years later it’s a point of argument between them.

If the two crews ever cross paths the whole of the 4th division is out for Sanji. The whole fight their asking what he puts in Marco’s cookies.

Sanji’s telling the recipe in between kicks. Once the fighting (sparing the crews are friendly) is over Sanji joins them in the kitchen and trades recipes with Thatch and the others while being told about the Cookie saga.

Thatch is taking furious notes about the cookies Sanji made.

Sanji is taking notes on what to and not to do when romancing with cookies.

[We live in denial here about canon where the doctor boys can live happily with their baker boys!] Ace may not know a thing about romance or romantic relationships but he knows a lot about Thatch and Marco. So surely with that knowledge and the help of the 4th and 1st divisions he can make something happen, Like a nice candle dinner for the two of them to eat together. couples like doing those things right? Deuce ending up getting involved in this because he's been lost ever since the whole macaron thing started. Now the nurses are running off at the next news of gossip between Thatch and Marco? Cue Deuce being recruited/stolen into the kitchen to try and help with making a romantic dinner for Thatch and Marco to enjoy together.

You are correct we all live in denial (any au is an Ace lives au if I try hard enough)

Between the 1st, 2nd, 4th divisions and Whitebeard because he will find out. This is going to be chaos. And you know poor Deuce is standing there like “ya I’ll help but how did we get here?” And all the 4th division in unison looks at Ace.

Ace who is sweating bullets “we can’t worry about that now.”

Ace pretty much set off an explosion of chaos with everyone now knowing that Thatch and Marco aren't a couple. Now they're all on board with trying to make that new couple happen alongside Ace and Deuce, the masked man still not getting his macarons yet either XD

Oh when this spreads its chaos. Imagine when Whitebeard finds out. He strikes me as a meddler when his kids are involved.

He finds out Marco and Thatcher have been twirling their thumbs for years and he’s like ya we are nipping this in a butt.

Ace has dragged Deuce into this and the poor Masked man still hasn’t gotten any Macarons.

(Once they figure this mess out Deuce is so tired. Ace comes over with a try of macarons and before he can even say anything Deuce grabs them and says “god I love you.” They both freeze. Well that’s one way to get it out there)

I just realized that I misswrote something on the post the other day about the whitebeards assuming that fem ace was pregnant.

But it gave me another idea:

The whitebeards assuming that Ace and Deuce are married due to their antics.

(Mainly because of Deuce having that fond and kind of gleeful expression whenever ace destroys things and them sleeping together all the time)

Listen!!!! Everyone knows Deuce is in love with Ace. There is no secret there.

No if we are staying in the Whitebread mistaking Ace for being pregnant after she meets Sabo again (see post here)

Deuce is being super sweet and supportive. He’s trying his best (along with the other spades) to shut down any rumors about their former captain.

Until one day he goes to drop of Ace’s dinner and he tries to talking to her again. “You know I’m always here for you. No matter what. I know we’re on a new crew but you will always be my captain and I will always be YOUR 1st mate. I will be by our side no matter what.” Deuce trying to be comforting even though Ace hasn’t looked at him in weeks.

Ace, who has spent the past month think about her brother what was supposed dead for years only to be alive and forgotten their bond. Questioning if she’s even worth remembering. “Don’t make promises you can’t keep. Even the strongest bonds fade over time. No matter how strong they were or how much they promised.”

Deuce, for the first time wondering if the rumors are true and his best friend/crush did fall in love and get pregnant only to be abandoned. What else could make her feel this way? She always believed in her bonds with people. Her younger sibling Luffy being the most important. And as far as Deuce knew Luffy was fine. “bonds might change but my loyalty to you never will. If you need me I’ll be there. No matter what.”

Ace actually turns to look at him. She’s crying again and she wants so badly not to cry anymore but Sabo is alive and wants nothing to do with her and it’s been so long since she’s felt this worthless. “Stay with me?”

Deuce stays. They’re not doing anything just taking and sleeping. But the rumor mill goes crazy. People talking about how Deuce finally got the girl. How he’s stepping up for Ace and they’re proud of him. Some wonder if it was a lovers spat all along.

But some a ruder about it. And one poor soul, probably Teach because he sucks. Says something about Deuce being so pathetically in love that he’d take a ruined woman and her bastard. Deuce hears it and it’s the first time he’s ever punched a crew mate before. Not because of what they said about him but because of the disrespect and latent sexism towards Ace. (Who again is not pregnant)

Whitebeard is big stressed. He’s got so many rumors flying. A possible grandchild on the way. A possible father as a revolutionary to hunt down. And one of his doctors just broke his hand from punching another one of his son’s in the face. (He proud once the whole story is explained but why him)

When Sabo shows up everyone one of the gossipers is ready for a show down only to be slack jawed because 1) that’s Ace’s brother! 2) she’s not pregnant!

And somehow Deuce and Marcos get roped in (Ace asked them) to giving Sabo a full exam (he was just tackled to the ground) main to insure he’s memories are all right.

Once again quite a confusing day for all.

On the other hand if we’re talking about another story entirely when fem Ace and Deuce are assumed to be married.

The Whitebeard’s are the biggest gossips. You do not have a crew that big that’s all “family” and not get into each others business.

And deuce is so obviously in love with his formal captain. He watches he burn down enemies (a terrifying thing to witness) like it’s a work of art. He is warm to her and goes out of his way to make sure they still see each other as much as possible.

But Ace does to. Their stand offish little sister is warm to her former crew in general but it’s obvious that Deuce is special. She goes out of her way to see him. Even hang out in the infirmary when he can’t leave. A place most commanders avoid like the plague.

The two used to share a room on their old ship and it’s not uncommon for Deuce to spend the night in Ace’s quarters now.

All the Whitebeard’s think they’re married. Heck most of the Spades think they’re married. It’s only the original crew that knows they’re not. They don’t correct anyone because they have so many bets on when the two idiots will actually get together and refuse to have any of these idiots speed up their time tables.

It isn’t until Ace is hanging out with the other commanders on night and Izou asks Ace if she’d like to invite her husband to join them. (They wouldn’t mind him joining them, sure it’s normally commanders only but they can make an exception for the only married pair.)

Ace looks are him supper confused, but before she can speak Marco does. “My fault. I scheduled Deuce to work tonight so I could join you. Next time I’ll put someone else in charge.” He directs the second point to Ace almost as if he’s apologizing for incovining her.

Now Ace is very confused because “I’m not married to Deuce.”

“You’re not!” They all yell at once before looking between each other.

“Do you want to be?” Thatch asked and Ace started sputtering. And that’s it. The commanders are looking between each other. It’s game on. You ever gets Ace and Deuce together wins.

Once Ace leaves they establish rules. They can have help from their divisions. So if one of the nurses convinces Deuce to propose then Marco wins. What do they win. Being Whitebeard’s current favorite. He’s not a man who ranks his children but he was there for the whole conversation. If Ace and Deuce aren’t married and decide to get married guess who is marrying them! Thats right Whitebeard. He’s pumped. The winner gets unofficial title of favorite plus a week off.

The game is on.

Meanwhile Ace is now looking at Deuce completely differently. She had never thought of him in that light before but now… her whole world view has shifted.

She’s trying to navigate this monumental shift while getting pushed into increasingly crazy scenarios with Deuce.

Meanwhile Deuce has always known he had a crush on her. He knew Ace didn’t see him that way so he had decided to ignore it and be friends. Ace’s friendship was enough. But now Ace is acting weird around him and they keep getting stuck together and the nurse and doctors have started telling him how cute they would be together and he feels like he’s losing his mind a bit. It’s not going to happen and he’s okay with that.

It’s a lot of shenanigans

I'm having a blast reading the whole cookie saga that's going on now! I love how in all of the attempts to make Marco like cookies Thatch didn't think of it one time to try and make pineapple into it for him until Ace brought it up.

Ace, the nonbaker, why don’t we use his favorite fruit. (No concept of how to bake with fruit. Marcos get their flavors from the fillings not the baked shells. He’s never experienced the difficulty of being fruit into baking. Nor does he realize who wore pineapples are. Did you know they have an enzyme that breaks down protein and softens meat, it tries to eat you back. Baking with it and other fruit can be very fun but baking is chemistry and is very easy to mess up)

Thatch, who knows all of this: “why didn’t I think of that!”

(Because it will be hard Thatch! You’re starting from scratch! No recipe! You’re going to waste so much fruit!)

If it helps you get through marineford/the war saga at all there's a scene just before the decision that creates the time skip, I never want to see luffy like that again and fish dad (I'm so pleased you already know my favorite nickname for jinbei) is the one that helps get us all through it, you will know it when you see it. It hurts like hell is a right of passage for all of us, and 8 more arcs for you on the other side of the time skip when you're ready.

I think i know what scene you’re talking about (tictok spoiled a lot for me) and it helps.

But I’m still sad.

I also need to figure out where to go to watch post time skip. I’ve been using Netflix but they o may have up to Marineford. My plan was to then switch to Hulu which has through episode 746? Which should get me through Dressrosa. Then I have to make some decisions about where to go next. Decisions decisions

If Marco steps into Thatch's kitchen. He'll probably not want to return. Probably because it might smell like PERFECTLY good pineapples are ruined. Just for cookies. FOR COOKIES. Ace tried to drive Marco out of the kitchen but *sigh.* he failed. Thatch looks like he wants to strangle something or someone.

Thatch would probably yell at Ace for getting him into this mess. For Deuce's stupid ass macarons and these stupid PINEAPPLE COOKIES. This has to be one of the most traumatizing things that Thatch has experienced on Whitebeards ship.

Marcos walks in.

Sees what they are doing.

Takes a deep breath.

Weighs if it’s worth it.

Walks out.

He knows there is no stopping Thatcher or Ace once they started something. And the pineapples are already destroyed. There is nothing to be done.

However there are some sick men aboard whose bed pans need changing. And who have vomiting or any other gross thing that comes from being sick. And it’s been a while since Deuce has been on that rotation.

Does he feel bad for punishing Deuce for something completely out of his control or knowledge. A little bit.

Does it make him feel better that the person who started this mess is suffering to. Yes.

He knows this stupid pineapple cookies are coming to the infirmary no matter what he does. So until Ace can put a stop to Thatch’s side quest or the cookies are actually enjoyable he’s going to put Deuce on the gross cases.

It’s the only thing that might turn Ace to his side. Making it hard to see Deuce and anytime they do have together he’s sure will be spent complaining.

Thatch is mourning that the first attempt did not work. Blaming Ace for starting this whole mess. And getting ready for round two of pineapples

Hello… I just found your blog, and after reading some of your work, I decided to send you this idea, to know what you think…

It takes place on the Mobi Dick, before Blackbeard's takeover…

FemAce is sick, to the point that she has vomited on more than one occasion, they end up putting her on light duty and with restrictions on certain foods until further notice…

Well, it turns out that between gossip and misunderstandings, the rumor that FemAce is pregnant is spread… and then someone comments that they saw her arguing with a blond revolutionary with a top hat…

So a group of crazy Whitebeard pirates end up starting a war against the Rev because one of them got pregnant and left his little sister…

…… Or how due to lack of communication the pirates declare war on the revolutionaries, when their 2nd commander got sick to his stomach a couple of weeks after discovering that his older brother Sabo is alive and He is an amnesiac revolutionary.

Okay I am a sucker for a good gender bender. I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea but I’ve always had a soft spot for it when done right.

I love this idea.

Because Ace when on a mission and ran into Sabo. Her brother who she’s though was dead for nine years (let’s they are 19 in this and it’s a year before the canon begins)

Obviously she is distraught. Even more so when she tries to talk to him and he doesn’t remember her. They get into a small fight because she’s desperate for him to remember and he’s there like “who is this crazy pirate??”

He slips away from her (he is a super secret spy) and Ace is heart broken. She’s lost her brother again. She has no idea where he is. She looked but she has to return to the Moby.

When she gets there she’s super upset. She won’t talk to anyone, locks herself in her room. She’s barely eating and what she does eat she can’t keep down. She’s making herself sick over her thoughts on Sabo. Did he truly forget them? Was it just her? Was she not good enough to remember? Was he happier without her around? She’s making herself miserable with all her spiraling what ifs.

The crew is worried. Ace is normally a ball of energy, till she passes out. It’s not like their little sister to mope in her room. She hasn’t done that since she officially joined the crew. The Ex-Spade members are super worried as are Thatch, Marcos, and Haruta.

Ace isn’t letting any of them in. She’s not letting Marcos, Deuce, or any of the medic staff look her over. They know she’s sick so they put her on light duty.

But a ship as big as that rumors are bound to start. You’ve got a young, beautiful woman, who has left home completely alone, and comes back heart broken. She’s also getting sick all the time. She can’t keep any food down and she’s avoiding the medical team like the plague. Could it be? Is she?

Rumors start.

And with rumors comes speculation. Marcos wants to crush this so he sends some people he trusts to go talk to the people on the island where Ace’s last mission was. He’s expecting the report to come back with “there’s a virus sweeping through the island with the same symptoms.” Or something like that. Something that would allow them to take action to help Ace and also squash the rumors about her.

Imagine his surprise when the scouts come back with reports about how Ace was seen with a Blond haired Revolutionary. That she kept chasing free him and the two got into many verbal disagreements. That Ace, their darling little sister, was alone for mutiple days with this boy. And now she’s sick and heartbroken.

Best case scenario, she had a crush and he broke her heart. The Whitebeard pirates will break his bones if that’s the case.

Worst case scenario… Marcos needs to talk to Ace.

The investigation does the opposite of quelling the rumors. They are more rampant than ever. And know they have a face to go with them. And and organization.

Marcos is trying to figure out how to best approach Ace to ask these invasive questions.

The crew (mainly lead by Thatch, Haruta, Izou, and made of former spade pirates and division 2 members) are planning how they are going to find this revolutionary.

Deuce is the only sensible one here as he tries his best to get his friend to talk to him. He can tell she’s hurting and Ace has never been good with trusting people with her pain. But he’s known her the longest. He was her first mate. If anyone can get her to talk it’s him.

This is mostly him being her light meals and sitting outside her door waiting for her to open up in her own time. He’s heard the rumors and they upset him on many levels. One he hates them talking trash about Ace. Two he might still have the biggest crush on his ex-captain. He’s not expecting it to go anywhere or to ‘win her love by being the nice guy’ he’s got a crush but her friendship is more than enough. Sabo is having his own mental breakdown because the girl he met won’t leave his mind. He starts doing research and finally his memories snap back into place. And holy crap!!! He has a sister! He has siblings!!

This realization comes just in time for him to start looking for Ace and to run into some very upset Whitebeard pirates.

“I’m looking for Portgas D. Ace!” These are Ace’s crew mates! He’s about to see her again. He can apologize for not remembering her and they can have the reunion they should have. and then he can ask her about Luffy.

The Whitebeard pirates look at this blond haired boy. “You’re a revolutionary aren’t you?”

Savo normally wouldn’t admit to that but maybe Ace told them about him. If it gets him to his sister faster than… “Yes I-”

That’s all he gets out before getting punched in the face. The fight is on. Sabo is so confused. The revolutionary army has no arguments with the Whitebeard’s. But they are yelling at him for “getting their little sister pregnant.” Which what???? He’s so confused right now. He’d remember that. Wouldn’t he?

So know you have Sabo running from the Whitebeard Pirates while also trying to sneak on to their ship. And Ace who’s just living in her own world completely unaware about the rumors and Sabo’s many near death experiences. Until he finally gets on the ship. He sees her walking and calls out. Ace turns and see him. She’s so happy to see him, and he recognizes her this time! “Sabo!” She starts to run towards him when he gets tackled by about 5 crew members. “What are you doing?” Because what is going on?

The crew are yelling about this being the guy who broke her heart. Which like yes but not the way you think. And then some fool yells something about Sabo being the father. And now both Ace and Sabo are dumbfounded because “that’s my sister/brother”

All in all a wired month or two for the Whitebeard pirates. Their hearts are in the right place but they need to fact check thing before they jump people
