Old Friends, Forever Rivals - Finale
The rounds passed by with both sluggers giving it their all. Jacob was rocking a shiner on his right eye from all the left hooks he had been fed with his body starting to flair up red from countless body shots he was shrugging off. Meanwhile Hunter had a small cut above his left eye, blood was dribbling down his face and his shorts were stained red.
The fifth and final round beckoned. This was one of the hardest, bloodiest Sunday Funday’s the duo had engaged in and they loved and lived for every second of it. This was what it was all about, pushing each other to their very limits, earning and respecting the power and talent of each other as fighters. This kind of friendship, brotherhood and camaraderie could only be earned through the sweet science of boxing.
Seconds out and the bell rang. Both fighters clapped their gloves together and set about ending this bout. Hunter wanted badly to take him down and see him looking up at him on the canvas after the countless times Bishop had done the same to him but Jacob just couldn’t stop taunting Hunter, and pummelling the cut on his head, as well as beating against those toned abs that never seemed to stop bouncing off his punches, no matter how hard and deep he sank them into him.
In the centre of the ring, a left hook landed flush on Jacob which had him in a brief daze only for a couple of seconds but in those small seconds, Hunter managed to let off a left hook, right hook and left uppercut combo, the uppercut landing perfectly square on Jacob’s chin, snapping his head back violently that it could have snapped. Bishop shook his head and gave Hunter a smirk, telling him ‘Well done, but here I come!’
Hunter put up his guard as Bishop unleashed a powerful barrage that threatened to break through his guard with each punch. Stepping back with each blow until Jacob finally had him on the ropes where he wanted him, he began a blistering powerful series of hooks and uppercuts to the body. Some punches tagging his ribs which made Alexander groan with pain, feeling like his bones were about to fracture at any moment while the punches aimed at his abs seemed to take the wind out of him. He was in big trouble now, Bishop was known for never backing down when he had his opponents right where he wanted them, and with no air getting into his lungs and the pain to his body starting to become too much, a final uppercut to Hunter’s jaw sent his back into the ropes once more where he then fell flat on his arse for the ten count.
Bishop raised his hand in triumph and turned to look down on Hunter and slowly count him out.
His speech was slightly slurred through his slightly bloodied mouthguard but there was no mistaking any of the numbers.
‘Two…Three…Four…Five…’
‘Get up! Come on GET UP!’ The voice screamed in his head. He began to move, getting to his knees by the time Bishop had counted to seven. Just as a clutch save, Hunter had made it to his feet by the time he reached nine but he was in bad shape. He was still out of breath, one glove practically holding his stomach and his cut still leaking precious blood out all over his shorts and spots on the canvas. Bishop bashed his gloves together and wasted no time going in for the kill. This fight was all his, the question was, how would he finish off Hunter? He could play around with him at this point. Maybe he could show him some mercy and let him see out the round still stood on his own two feet? Perhaps, but only if he wasn’t gagging for this win over his friend and rival. Hunter staggered back into the corner, knowing this fight was over, he was not going to be able to claim victory this time, so he accepted his fate.
Left uppercut to the body, a grunt of huge pain. A right body hook, sinking deep into his ribs, almost causing him to crash down face first onto the canvas. A left uppercut right to the solar plexus, a deep cry of pain came from behind Hunter’s guard and when it dropped, Jacob went in for the kill, in the most insulting way he could think of.
Bishop wound up his left hook as far back as it would go and then unleashed hell on Hunter’s face. Alexanders head snapped around violently, blood, sweat and spit bursting forth and spilling everywhere. His body followed in the direction his head was spun and in a dazed, blurred state, he crashed down face first to the canvas, not moving but breathing hard.
Jacob spat out his mouthguard by his friend, ‘Looks like we won’t be needing a ten count.’
The fight was over, another Sunday Funday in the bag and a win added to Jacob’s scoreboard. He helped Hunter up off the canvas and both men plodded themselves down in the corner and removed their gloves. Hunter held out his hand, ‘Good fight.’
Jacob looked at his hand then back to his face and smiled gently, ‘Good fight, my friend.’
They both shared a small laugh, Hunter spat out a wad of spit and blood and they both started to reminisce of the fight that just occurred. And that is just how it was with them, how it would always be between them and they would never change a thing about it.

Old Friends, Forever Rivals - (Part Two)
This was an old, familiar yet always welcome sight to Hunter. Seeing his friend across the ring in the blue corner warming up for the fight ahead. As per usual, he brought along his signature dark green trunks with the white trim and bright red gloves that you would always see coming towards your head when his solid hooks landed flush.
Jacob was recently hot off a win against heavyweight talent Brodie. He had been making waves in the boxing community and Jacob could not wait to get a piece of him and boy did he get it. Brodie swore revenge in a bout in the future but Jacob paid it no mind, knowing that when the time came again, he could have him down and out in the first couple rounds. Again.
Seconds out and the two friends, now rivals in this ring were more than ready to duke it out once again. The digital echo of the bell rang out and reverberated against the concrete walls and another fight between them had begun. They knew each others tactics inside and out, making every subsequent fight all the more difficult. Jacob knew Hunter always opened up with a jab, it was boxing 101 after all but Jacob was known to always open with a hook, so Hunter decided to turn the tables for once and landed a solid left hook on Jacob’s head that almost snapped all the way around. A small smirk came across Jacob’s face, he respected what Hunter just did but he would also make him pay for it…
Jacob left his body wide open for Hunter to go to town on, he knew Hunter would never be able to resist. Body work was his favourite and when the opportunity presented itself, he would never pass it up. And, as predicted, Hunter stepped forward with a stinging straight right into Bishop’s gut. Followed by a jab, another straight then an uppercut just below the solar plexus. Each punch hit like a rock and Jacob could feel the pain in full but showed no signs of breaking, he even started backing up into the corner, letting himself get trapped as Hunter pounded away at him. Mixing it up with headshots between all the body work, sweat and spit was flying off Bishop in every direction and Hunter was starting to work up a hell of a sweat of his own.
Just as Hunter was about to dig in deep with a right body hook, Jacob unleashed a crushing left hook right into Hunter’s head that sent him back into the centre of the ring. Before Alexander could regain his composition, Jacob had already chased him into the middle of the ring and landed a right hook to his head, making Hunter clench down hard on his mouthguard. His guard was up, blocking those cinderblock hands, he tried his best to not start moving back towards the corner or the ropes but those heavy punches said other wise. A left uppercut right into Hunters abs made him lurch forward in pain where Bishop followed up with a right hook to the head once more. A slew of spit broke through his mouthguard with a hard grunt of pain, Bishop always meant business in the ring and there was never an exception, even for friends.
The bell rang out signalling the end of round one and Jacob held his fist high in victory. He won this round, no doubt about it but there was still plenty more to go, the question on Hunter’s mind was, could he last long enough?

Old Friends, Forever Rivals - Part One
Sunday morning. The gym had been closed for the entire morning by Hunter. He forked out a decent amount from his last purse win just to do this but it would be worth it. His old friend, Jacob Bishop was in town which only meant one thing. A fight.
Hunter had always been a middleweight but Jacob was moved into the heavyweight class halfway through his career, so the chances of them meeting publicly in the ring were smaller than the genitals on a nat. However, there was nothing to stop these two gearing up for a fight on their own terms, and thus they were making it happen. For a couple years now the two had been meeting up on occasion for a Sunday brawl, it occurred so often they eventually dubbed it ‘Sunday Funday.’ The win loss ratio was definitely a mixed bag, both fighters had their share of wins and losses against each other. Sometimes in the space of one round, sometimes taking up the entire slot of rounds and coming to a decision but the point was, their fights were always interesting. If this had been a public exhibition match, they no doubt would have sold out of tickets on the spot each and every time they fought.
Hunter was already geared up and waiting in the ring for his friend. He had made an early start to his day just for this, earlier than he normally would for one of his career bouts but something about these fights were extra special, to the both of them. They both believed in leaving it in the ring, soon as the gloves were on and both feet in the ring, friendship was off the table and it was a fight till one emerged the winner. With Jacob being in the higher weight-class, he had an inherent advantage. He was tough and he was strong, but so was Hunter. With an indomitable will and true heart of a fighter, Hunter could stand up to the mightiest of Jacob’s punches and come back for more. It was incredible and surely even impossible to walk away from the power behind Jacob’s hooks and haymakers, yet here Hunter was. Hunter recalled a time a few months back during one of their Sunday Funday fights where he lost in the first round, Jacob had clearly been pissed off that day and definitely took the anger out on Hunter, downing him a full three times for a TKO. Each time Hunter went down with a loud bang, rocking the canvas and shaking the ropes violently. On the final knockdown he took a sharp and violent hook right to the jaw that made a sickening cracking sound, as well as sending a sinew of blood and spit across the ring, followed by his mouthguard. Jacob had roared out in victory that morning before coming to the aid of his friend and helping him up off the canvas.
Snapped out of his trace of memories, Jacob walked through the doors of the gym, duffle bag of gear slung over his right shoulder as he made his way to the changing room to gear up. They both gave a nod to each other. Hunter did some light shadow boxing waiting in the red corner while Jacob got ready.
This was going to be fun.

The Two Titans - Part Two
Harry bit down hard on his mouthguard and the bell rang out for round two. Like the first round, they wasted no time meeting each other in the middle. Animals. Fighters. Warriors. They were both out for blood this round and each punch was a testament to that. Zack came flying into the middle of the ring with a wild left haymaker that Harry just barely managed to block. He felt his guard tremble from the power behind that punch, as well as the ones that followed suit. He was stuck, on the defensive, taking blow, after blow, each one slowly weakening his guard, he had to do something, now!
A duck from a right hook that was countered with a swift, precise and hard right hook to Zack’s ribs then a uppercut to the chin that grazed the hairs. After stepping back from the body blow, Zack was caught with a right hook right on the cheekbone. The pain burned and the dull ache from where it landed was soon forgotten about when a jab and straight combo came right down the pipeline, crushing his nose against the glove. For a split second, he thought he could feel blood ready to pour out but nothing did. Keeping his head in the game and focused on his opponent who was starting to come into his own this fight, Zack took the time to get into a clinch to take just a few sweet seconds to catch his breath and recalibrate himself. Harry grunted as Zack was holding on so tight that Harry couldn’t even slip a few body punches in. Breaking away from Harry, Zack threw a cross that popped right on Harry’s nose, letting free a small trickle of blood.
A smirk burst out across Zack’s sweat soaked face and his mouthguard shone bright contrasted against the venue lights. Harry looked angry and that just made Zack all the more chuffed with himself. He was getting the better of Harry, there was no doubt but from Harry’s point of view, Zach looked like he was starting to run on steam. His breathing was hard and fast, mouth wide open, sweat dropping from his head and the streaks of hair that attempted to disrupt his vision. They stood two feet apart, just waiting for someone to make a move and the crowd was screaming for them to tear each other to pieces. They came to see a brawl, they came to see a fight and they came to see blood.
Zack let our a roar and crashed into Harry, pushing them both into the ropes. ‘Gravedigger’ let out a barrage of body blows into Harry, turning his solid abs red and making them softer with every blow and every grunt of pain that escaped his lips. He grunted and roared the punches in as Harry desperately tried to push Zack away to get some distance but he would not budge. Such an overbearing weight pressed against him, he could feel his sweat and body heat between the punches. The pain with each hissed in punch was growing more and more unbearable and Zack was just not letting up. He was relentless, like a machine, not slowing down or losing power. Harry was biting down so hard on his mouthguard he was leaving teeth marks. Each punch made him grab Zack harder and harder, curling forward as each blow made him moan out now in genuine pain. He was not going to stop, he wanted him down for the count and that is exactly what Zack achieved. After the all out attack on his body was complete, he looked up to see a red glove in a blur and he felt his head snap back. Sweat poured back from him, his mouthguard now melding with his teeth and the distinct taste of blood running down the back of his throat from his nose.
‘Atomic’ had hit the canvas and hard. His back was resting on the ropes as his legs were spread eagle on the canvas. Zack had his fist up in triumph as the ten count begin. His body was now bright red from the punches Zack delivered and he ached like hell from it. A short catch of breath in and out. He began to get to his feet as the ten count reached four. The crowd had totally lost it now, they threw random objects up into the air from sheer reaction from seeing Harry take a fall and it was deafening. Pain, noise, blurred vision and panic. Harry had never seen the canvas before tonight, he should be angry, he should be on his feet tearing Zack apart for what he just did. But he was in such a daze, he didn’t know right from left but he knew he had to be back on his feet and fast!
Zack was dancing on his toes in the neutral corner, he was clearly ready for more and the adrenaline must have been surging through him. He had to get up, he wanted Harry to get up, he was far from done playing with him yet and to take a win so easy and early was no fun at all, for anyone.

The Two Titans - Part One
The crowd was alive with anticipation, you could feel the excitement in the air and not a single person could keep still. The venue was part of an unlicensed, underground boxing group by the name of ‘Bare Knuckle Brawlers’. While this fight was not a bare knuckle brawl, it was privy to hosting such fights on occasion. The venue was almost a miserable murk of dark brown colours you’d expect to see from a nineteen-eighties dive bar but remaining inconspicuous was key to keeping this underground fight ring going.
This was the last fight of the night and the one everyone was waiting for. The two fighters about to step into the ring had been talking smack about each other over social media for the last three weeks. Insults were thrown, promises of knocking each other down in the first round were made and blood was destined to be spilled between them.
Harry “Atomic” Parry was in the red corner, ironically wearing his deep blue satin shorts with “Atomic” Embroidered right onto the belt line. He was wearing twelve ounce white gloves from Rival and the man was the definition of a beefcake. Muscles so bulked up and pronounced that the mere thought of fighting that man seemed like a death sentence. A popular fighter in the underground leagues and sporting a record with zero losses, he truly was one to contend with.
His opponent, standing in the blue corner was Zack “Gravedigger” Street. Standing at the same height and practically a mirror image beefcake of Harry, Zack was rocking his favourite fourteen ounce red Cleto Reyes with grey Everlast trunks to go with it. His low riding shoes were a classic black and white and a recent tattoo of a rose vine on his left ribs stood out proudly.
Heavyweight titles bouts wish they had the energy and excitement that this one did. For the past year, crowds had came to see both of these men slug it out in the ring against much lesser opponents who dared think they had what it took to take on these titans.
The time had come. Seconds out and the fight was about to begin. Zack, from across the ring, ran his glove across his throat to Harry, telling him everything he needed to know but Harry just kept a laser focused stare at him, never breaking contact and never once feeling intimidated by the beast across from him.
Ding ding
A burst forward from both fighters and they met in the middle of the ring in mere seconds and wasted no time getting to work. There was no steady, paced boxing here, just two animals going at it. Zack opened up with a right hook and left hook, both of which smashed into Harry’s jaw, sending a small slew of spit towards the crowd but he was not phased. He retorted instantly with an uppercut to the body, it felt like punching a cinderblock, not a single sound of pain from him nor any signs that the punch even rocked him. An uppercut landed flush right on Harry’s jaw which snapped his head back like he just got whiplash and a followed up straight to his marble abs sent him back into the ropes.
The crowd roared for every punch given and taken, there was not a dull moment in this fight and they were getting exactly what they wanted. Hands up to the sky, phones out to record the scrap and plenty of pictures would appear online along side the videos later tonight talking about how much of a grand spectacle the fight was and how sorry they felt for anyone who was not here to witness it.
Both fighters were working up a hell of a sweat, they could feel the sweat pooling on their foreheads and drops coming down into their eyes and nose, making each punch that connected with theirs heads send a spray of sweat across the ring.
A right body uppercut and a left body uppercut smashed into Harry’s body, Zack was winning this first round with flying colours, Harry just could not keep up with the barrage of blows he was sending out but he was taking each of them like a champ, showing no signs of hitting the canvas just yet. Zack may win the round but if he kept up this pressure and energy, he was going to be out of steam by the third round and that was when Harry could really mess him up but he had to make it that far. The punches were doing nothing to drop him yet but if he kept letting them land like this, they would start showing and he would not even see round three.
Harry began to block those crushing body blows and counter punch with a left or right hook to Zack’s head. The punches sent his shoulder length black hair spinning with his head, letting sweat fly from it and when he once again faced his opponent, his hair would be drenched and right in-front of his eyes giving him a undeniable look of hotness. An uppercut to Zack’s jaw snapped his his head back so far that he nearly flipped backwards. With Zack on the ropes, Harry crashed into him, getting into a clinch where he mercilessly punched his ribs until they turned bright red. Zack could feel his tattoo pain coming back with a vengeance with each punch. Zack was starting to groan out more and more in pain. Harry was taking control of the last few seconds of round one, because if Zack was going to win on points then Harry was at least going to make sure he suffered for it.
The bell rang out, ending round one and Zack pushed Harry off him with a look of anger consuming his face. The crowd was roaring, deafening, they were having the time of their lives and so far were on no ones side of this fight, they screamed for any punch that made a connection with the other fighter. As the two fighters sat down in their corners, they once more glared at one another. Both dripping with sweat and breathing hard through their mouthguard, it was still anyones fight and neither one of them was going to relent for even a single second.

Nemesis - Part Three (Finale)
During rounds two and three the two fighters had slugged the hell out of each other. Liam was sporting the beginning stages of a black eye with some mild swelling to accompany it while Nathan’s face and body were becoming bright red for the sheer heat and stress from the fight. Half way during round four Bam-Bam did sustain a bloody nose from those sniper like crosses Liam was so good at breaking through his guard with but the blood had subsided for now but one more solid bop on his nose like that and he would be going home with a broken nose.
Nathan thought he would have had this fight in the bag by now, he was connecting with plenty of his punches and landing solid combos to Liam’s abs and solar plexus but he kept standing, it was both frustrating and impressive. A lot of the best fights in boxing came from when both fighters had an indomitable spirit and the pure bread heart of a fighter. Round after round of boxers slugging each other and walking off punches that would have put any lesser man to sleep in the hospital for a day but not these two.
They were deep into round five with only a minute and a half left before the fight was over. The crowd had reached max capacity and everyone was shouting at them. Telling them to duck and weave, block and counter, every tactic in the book but they still paid them no mind.
A hard left hook to Nathan’s ribs had a slew of spit fly out his mouth while a right hook to Liam’s face had droplets of blood and sweat mixed together to create a murky spray. They were breathing hard with only their guards half raised, both theirs heads and bodies were open targets and it came down to which fighter had the greatest endurance left in them. Sooner or later one of those well placed punches was gonna put the other down, it was only a matter of time. Nathan threw a jab cross combo that went right down the pipeline, creating a blur of grey and sweat in his vision that was slowly fading on the left side. Each right hook that was coming Liam’s way was getting harder and harder to see, each sting from the leather closed his eye more and more until he couldn’t see from it anymore. Punches were hissed loudly, the smack of the leather gloves reverberated on the floor of the ring and the grunts of pain from both warriors was unmistakable.
Liam threw himself into a clinch onto Nathan, he could feel how hot their bodies were running, the sweat from both of them almost sticking them together. Liam was breathing deep into Nathan’s ears and he slugged in a few slow and weak body punches that didn’t phase Nathan. Bam-bam let the punches land and took the time to catch whatever breath he could. He was going to finish this fight, he had to, by the sounds and feel of it, those punches were losing some momentum and it didn’t look like Slinger was going to hang on for much longer. Johnson pushed Liam off him and he fell backwards onto the ropes, at the mercy of his opponent. This was it.
Nathan, with what steam he had left, rushed forward to keep Liam against the ropes and unleashed a barrage of random punches hoping that any one of them would be the one to drop him. Liam’s guard was barely there and he took hooks to the face, causing his swollen eye to get worse, body uppercuts which hand him standing on his toes and rocked left to right as his ribs got pounded. The crowd was beside itself, electrified by the show on display. ‘Finish him!’ ‘Knock his ass out!’ ‘Fuck him up!’ He could not have asked for better support from the crowd and with a wound up right hand, a uppercut crashed into Slinger’s jaw that sent his mouthguard up into the air and sweat sprayed all over Nathan’s face. Liam Slinger crashed down face first into the canvas like he just dropped dead. There was a moment of hesitation and then Nathan raised his hand up I glorious victory. Liam was not getting up from that and the crowd went wild, almost storming the ring. A couple of the by standers, stepped into the ring to help Liam to his feet. He was dazed, confused but above all, angry. He had been made a fool of. Too weak to even say anything or stand in his own two feet, he was carried out the ring and taken off to the back rooms to receive some first aid for the damage to his eye.
Nathan revelled in the sweet victory he had earned while in the back room, Liam made a vow to face Bam-bam once again in the ring and that the next time they meet, he would be faster, stronger and better than he is now. He would turn the tables on Johnson and enact retribution for the humiliating loss he suffered here today.

Nemesis - Part Two
Resting against the turnbuckle in the blue corner, Liam would not wipe the smug look on his face. He walked away believing he won that round or at least got the better of Nathan and that was all he needed. The truth was so far they both seemed equally matched, both men gave as good as they got. For every jab, cross, hook and uppercut landed, it was returned in full. Liam worked his shoulders up and down to stop the sweat on his back sticking to the leather. His face was growing red from the heat and there was not a single spot on his face or body that wasn’t gleaming with sweat.
Nathan cracked his neck left and right, keeping a steady gaze on his cocky opponent. He had talent, skill and a handle on the control of the ring, too many times in that one round Nathan had realised all too late that he was getting backed into a corner or feeling the brush of the ropes on his back, all the while trying to fend off those powerful crosses. If he was going to turn this fight around he would either have to gain control of the ring for himself or turn up the intensity on his punches, always making sure to follow up with a second punch that would either take the wind out of Liam or put him on his back, spread eagle on the canvas and looking up with a mix of daze and shock.
He would have to make a decision now as the bell rang out to signal the start of round two, as the two forces of nature went at each other, they were starting to amass a crowd. Everyone in the gym who was here training working out or just even passing by took notice of the fight going on and it had them enthralled, unable to look away or do anything else. They simply had to know who was going to win this fight. There were people cheering for both sides but to Nathan and Liam, they didn’t notice it at all. All their attention was on each other, looking for opening, blocking and counterpunching, they couldn’t worry about who was the fan favourite right now.
Liam ducked to dodge a swift right hook from Nathan and retorted with a crushing left hook to his ribs that caused him to stumble almost daftly into the ropes. For a second his arms rested on the top rope but it was enough for Liam to take immediate action! A flurry of hooks smashed into Nathan’s body, sinking deep and leaving a red mark from each impact. The breath was punched out of him and with each hook and uppercut to his toned abs, had him curling forward in agony until the opening was found and a devastating left uppercut collided perfectly right on Nathan’s chin, snapping his head back like he suffered whiplash and his teeth making imprints into his mouthguard. He fell to this canvas on his ass, looking confused where he was while Liam raised his hand up in victory. The crowd hollered for the spectacular knock down they just saw and the ten count began.
Leaning his weight onto the ropes, Nathan climbed his way back to his feet by the time the ten count had reached six and by seven his guard was back up, his head was in the game and he was ready to tear into the smug little shit that just floored him. Slinger’s eyes went wide in a sarcastic shock as Nathan came back in for more, a smirk on his face emerged but it would be soon wiped clean off his face. Nathan would not stop until Liam was on his back, lying in a pool of his own sweat, shame and defeat.

Nemesis - Part One
Azteca Club De Boxeo. A famous boxing gym located in the heart of Mexico, locals from all round came here to train and push their bodies to the limit. The sweet science was admired and revered here, no matter the time of day, you could always find at least someone working up a sweat on the punching bags or going a couple of rounds in the ring. The heat made for some intense and gruelling workouts but if a boxer was not pushing themselves to the limit then could they even call themselves a fighter?
Nathan was taking a short holiday and found himself at Azteca, no matter where a fighter found themselves in the world, a boxing ring was always nearby and they always heeded its sweet call. With a gym bag full of his gear slung over his shoulder, Nathan wasted no time making his way into the outdoor gym. Around him, punches were being hissed, sweat poured generously from everyones brows and the atmosphere itself was electrifying. It was still morning but the sun felt like it was at its peak, he had not even gloved up and Nathan was already working up a sweat. Locating the lockers to change, he slipped into his deep red and bright white shorts, popped in his mouthguard and finally his grey Everlast 12oz beauties. Wrapped, protected and ready to fight, he made his way to the ring where someone was already waiting in the blue corner, warming up and looking to brawl.
He was not from around here either, perhaps American? Definitely in the same weight class as Nathan and the same height, how fortuitous. The stranger was rocking a pair of dark green and black shorts with the same colour black for gloves, it was a good outfit on him, most suited indeed but Nathan was not here to judge fighters fashion. Climbing into the ring and setting up in the red corner, the man across from him locked eyes with Nathan and did not break contact. Bam-Bam stretched in the corner and did some light shadow boxing to get his blood flowing, all the while his opponent in waiting was staring him down. The opponent in question was Liam Slinger. A lightweight hailing from the state of Massachusetts, like Nathan, he was only just beginning his career, a fight was lined up four days from now for Liam’s second professional fight. Seemed only natural he would be here training everyday until the big event. He was only on the undercard for the night but that didn’t make the fight any less special or important. There would be eyes on that fight and if Liam could impress enough he could crawl out of the undercards and be the main event of the night, it was what he always dreamt of.
Both fighters were ready and eager to get it on. Diligently, the pair made their way to the centre of the ring to touch gloves and wait for the bell to ring. Liam still kept that predator like stare on Nathan, he wanted a piece of him and would no stop till he did. ‘You’re dead.’ Liam said with a grim tone. Nathan knew from that moment that he was not here to play around or just go for some light sparring, he was out for blood and if he was not careful, he was going to get it. Liam bashed his gloves against Nathans and raised his guard. Seconds out…
Both men already had a thin layer of sweat covering every inch of their head and bodies, and that sweat was only going to get worse and start staining the canvas when the punches started flying. The bell ran and the two fighters met each other in the centre of the ring with their guard up. The dance had begun and it was anybodies move.
A jab from Liam, blocked by Nathan. Another jab and then a left cross, blocked once more. Nathan followed up with a jab, also blocked by Liam but then slipped to the left and let a left hook find home, the first punch had been landed and Liam did not like that one bit. Slinger hissed back with a right hook and left body hook that clapped Nathan’s ribs with ease and stung a little too. Still both composed but with a taste of each other’s skill, the fight continued. A left uppercut to Liam’s abs, dodged at the last second with a swift step backwards closer to the ropes but Liam was not going to let himself get trapped on the ropes or in any of the corners, he would keep his footwork going, carefully choosing his position and the punches on the fly as he did. Slinger would outwit Liam by controlling the ring, cutting off Johnson every time he could so he could deliver a quick blow or if he was lucky, a three hit combo minimum.
Liam specialised in footwork and swapping between inside and outside fighting style. With ease, he could work his opponent thanks to his long reach but expertly, move to the inside to tie up his opponent in a clinch for a few quick and easy body shots before stepping back to the outside again, tagging them with a keen jab or cross. Unlike Nathan’s past opponents, Slinger was a southpaw which made the fight just a little harder for him but we he was not deterred. Bam-Bam would rise to the challenge, already taking the first step by having met his opponent head on. It wouldn’t be easy but boxing never has been, it takes guts and courage to even step into the ring and no matter the bitter rivalry between two fighters, underneath it all was always the shared mutual respect for having the balls to step into the ring and fight.
The round had just under two minutes left and the men were starting to amp up the intensity. Their brows soaked with sweat, pooling down into their eyes and giving their gloves a bright sheen in the morning light. It’s never good idea in boxing to talk shit and get hit but that is exactly what Liam had done. With both black, sweat stained gloves, he beckoned Nathan to bring it and before he could get his guard back up, Liam was struck with a crushing right hook. A rope of spit and sweat went across the ring and he bit down firmly on his mouth guard. A slight daze came upon him when he saw a left hook come towards him, it landed clean and a shower of sweat sprayed free from Liam’s hair and the combo was complete with a solid right uppercut to his abs, he let out a grunt of pain as it landed.
Slinger was furious, he let his guard down and got cocky. He paid the price and it almost sent him down to the canvas but he was still standing, legs holding firm and his resolve unbroken. A left cross broke through Nathan’s guard and bopped him square on the nose. Nathan had never felt such a powerful cross before and was once again caught unaware due to the south path stance that Liam had a masterful grasp of. The two warriors went back and forth with hard single punches and gloriously fast combos, they were so engrossed in their fight that after the bell rang out to signal the end of round one, Nathan was clocked with a jab and a hook. Liam in all his smugness, raised his right hand up to the sky almost as if in victory and swaggered back to his corner.

Taking Requests
Just throwing a little reminder out there also that I do take requests for writing.
If you have a boxer or oc you want to see get in the ring then please let me know, send me all the details and I'll happily collab with you!
Totally free by the way, I'm not looking to charge to do any writing, I do it completely out of passion for both writing and agonophilia pleasure.

Little Update!
I'm working on a story based on what is possibly my favourite rivalry between two of my best oc's from Fight Night Champion.
Nathan 'Bam-Bam' Johnson vs. Liam 'The Wall' Slinger
For some back story, when I first made them fight on FNC, I had no idea it would turn into the best rivalry story I could craft. Their rivarly spanned six fights from gyms to big named venues.
Both were made for each other, always trying to one up each other and everytime, someone different walked away the victor and I captured some of my favourite shots and videos from their fights (which I am sad I probably lost) but I am so excited to translate that into the written word! And I hope my readers will enjoy it too!

The Man From Down Under - Part Three (Finale)
What a rush it was! The adrenaline was flowing fast and the next round couldn’t start quick enough. Hunter got a taste of what Jayden had behind those gloves and he liked what he saw, or more accurately, what he felt. There was strength and hunger behind those fists, the lad was definitely an aspiring boxer, Hunter almost felt like he should be taking him under his wing after this fight but that was not his call to make, it was up to Turner.
Jayden, resting his back against the turnbuckle padding, was catching his breath. His gloves had a sheen of fresh sweat all over them and he could feel droplets running down into his eyes and nose. He had unleashed a flurry of punches onto Alexander at the end of that round and he didn’t even seem to flinch. How on earth was he going to impress him if he can’t even make his knees wobble? Turner was unaware he had already gained Hunter’s respect from that last round and was just being too harsh on himself, telling himself that he could still do better. Perhaps securing knockdown was what Jayden really wanted? That if he could find the power to topple an upcoming pro, then he was capable of doing anything in his career.
Seconds out and the third round was about to begin. Hunter wanted more of what Jayden had to offer but he had to remember that he had a career to think about, he could not afford to take injury during a training day and delay his next pro fight. Maybe he should end this fight this round or maybe he could give the young fighter a bit more time in the ring to help develop his confidence…
The bell rang and the two almost sprinted to meet each other. Jayden opened with a wild right haymaker that Hunter ducked to avoid and tagged him back with a right hook to his ribs with a flourishing left hook to Jayden’s head. That sting. That power. The damn left hook! It almost sent Jayden across the ring and on his back again but he withstood it and regained his composure. Sloppy work. He had to pace himself, not go right in for the kill. Telegraphing his move like that was amateur, if he wanted to have a chance of knocking down Hunter, he would have to box smart. A double jab from Hunter to measure the distance, blocked perfectly by Jayden. Another jab then a right cross, also blocked by the peppy Australian. Jayden came back with a feinting left jab and tagged Hunter with a right cross directly on the abs, it stung a little and left a brief red imprint on his abs, was that wall of a body starting to show some wear and tear? Only one way to find out. A slip right then left and a right uppercut to Alexander’s abs had him spray spit across the ring and back up against the ropes. Left body hook, right body hook and a left hook to the head, all strung together in less than two seconds, each punch landing clean on his target. Hunter was dazed for a spilt second and when he caught himself again, found himself now backed into his own corner getting his body rocked from side to side in anguish!
Jayden was roaring the punches into Hunter’s body, each punch doing more damage than the last and sinking nicely into his gut. Keep the pressure on he thought to himself, he can’t possibly take anymore. While he didn’t have Hunter’s knees buckling, his did have him lurching forward from the pain and desperately trying to guard his body from this onslaught but every time he tried, he was met with crushing headshots that sent his head spinning and at one point, blood from his mouth. Biting down painfully on his mouthguard, Hunter threw himself onto Jayden in a tight clinch, hoping to stop the pain for a few glorious seconds. ‘What’s wrong, champ?’ Jayden breathed into his ear heavily. A short but keen right uppercut struck Hunter and he let out a pained grunt. He was loving every second of it but he couldn’t let the fight keep going this way, yes he had his fun but now it was time to turn the tables back to where they were and show this newbie why he destroyed the competition in the first place.
Alexander with all his might, pushed Jayden off him and got him into the corner. Now he had him where he wanted him, there was no escape for him, he was going to be trapped here until have gave or hit the floor. Hunter returned the barrage of body punches in kind to Turner, each blow felt crippling, his guts hurt, his stomach churned and his feet lifting off the canvas with each uppercut sunk into his now soft six pack. Then came the famous left hook once more, it landed with a snap and Jayden’s mouthguard popped out his mouth. He found himself down on his knees, salivating onto the canvas and trying so urgently to get back to his feet. The pain in his body was excruciating and he felt blood run down his face and splash gently by his knees. He couldn’t move, his mind screamed at him to get up, use the ropes if he had to but his body would just not respond. Standing over him with a earned smirk was Hunter, flexing his biceps and counting him out.
‘Seven…eight…nine…ten!’ Jayden had lost. He slammed his glove in a rage but the colour purple burst into his vision. Hunter was offering his hand to help him to his feet. He took it. Hunter removed his mouthguard to speak clearly. ‘You did good kid. That body work of yours is deadly.’ ‘Heh…thanks.’ Turner said trying to avoid seeing his breakfast come back. ‘Gave me a real run for my money right there. Look, I got stuff to do but hey, don’t be a stranger, yeah?’ Jayden nodded and Hunter nodded back. He exited the ring and disappeared into the changing rooms in the back. A smile, despite the beating, beamed across Jayden’s face, he just had the time of his life and couldn’t wait for more.

The Man From Down Under - Part Two
Jayden was determined to bring his A game in the second round. He suffered a swift and brutal knockdown in the first round and throughout the rest, he took plenty of slugs from Hunter. A couple of the uppercuts he took right on the chin snapped his head back so hard he thought he would backflip back down onto the canvas. But Turner still almost managed to give as good as he got, with a few well placed body blows that clearly made Hunter’s face scrunch up in pain, as well as landing a solid few rights hooks that made a small bruise mark just around his left eye brow.
Yes, it was a solid first round and both fighters loved every second of it. Each moment of the round, they craved landing a clean punch and yearned to pull off a slick combo, mixing in head and body shots. However, each punch they both took off one another was equally as exhilarating. Alexander was growing to love and admire Jayden’s fondness for body work and the Australian respected Hunter’s prowess and punching power. Both were equal warriors in their own right and the pair of them would have made for quite a spectacle in a professional fight, perhaps one day they would meet each other as such but for now, this was just a fight between two boxers in a gym ring.

The second round timer rung out and they were both in the middle of the ring exchanging punches in the blink of an eye. The hunger in both of them was palpable, inspiring and commanded respect. Turner opened with a blisteringly fast left jab, right cross and left hook combo to Hunter’s head. Each punch landed clean, sweat sprayed off Hunter’s head and he was practically begging for more. He wanted Jayden to unleash even more, hold nothing back, go for the knockdown, truly show him what he was capable of. A right hook to Alexander’s right with a snap left uppercut to his chin. He nodded to Jayden in approval and came in to return the favour. Backing Jayden up against the ropes from a barrage of jabs and crosses, Hunter with all his power threw hook after hook to Turners body. He was clenched up against the ropes, overwhelmed by the speed and strength Hunter displayed, he had to act fast. A counter punch? A slip? A clinch? Anything for a moments reprieve. As Jayden went in for a clinch to get off the ropes, a right body hook found home which sent him right into Hunter’s arms. He could feel Alexander’s breath in his ear, it was warm and heavy, ditto for Hunter’s ear from Jayden. Turner slammed a couple left hooks into Hunter’s ribs, making him grunt ever so slightly. ‘Come on man, give me more than that!’ Hunter was no longer hiding his desire for Jayden to bring the pain, he wanted it and bad. Jayden pushed Hunter out the clinch but got tagged with a sharp left hook before he could raise his gloves again. A hot trickle was felt on Jayden’s face, Hunter had cut him with ease but he couldn’t focus on the blood, he kept his eyes on the prize and considered his options.
‘Left Hook’ came in with a crashing right cross that broke through Jayden’s guard that snapped his head back and sent a shower of sweat and blood across the right, staining the canvas beneath their feet. It was clear to Jayden now how Hunter managed to plow his way through the amateur ranks and make mince meat of his first few opponents in the professional ranks. He respected the hell out of it, out of him and if he were to lose to him here today, then it will be because he earned that win. Earned it through the sheer mastery of his skill, talent and power.
Jayden pounded his gloves together, reverberating through the whole gym, earned a few head turns as he did so. Turned ducked to avoid the jab cross combo and tagged him with a brusque jab to the abs, followed by a right hook to the ribs that were starting to look a little bruised and swung up top with an ironic left hook that made Hunter spit out a small rope of saliva. Wanting to keep the pressure on, Jayden let fly a right uppercut to Hunter’s chin, it felt like hitting a brick but it still made him step backwards. Hunter’s guard was lowering a little, Turned kept the heat on with a jab cross to Hunter’s head, hitting him straight on the nose. Left body hook, right body hook, left body hook and a right hook to the head. Alexander stumbled into the blue corner and was at the Australian's mercy. Could it be that Hunter wanted him to work him around the ring like this? Simply toying with him? Or was he giving him a taste of power, what it felt like to command a ring, to push around a professional boxer like him? It was difficult to say but Alexander, while taking a solid beating showed no signs of his knees buckling.
Thirty seconds were left in the round and Jayden still had him trapped in the corner and was going to keep him there until the round had ended. He promised he was going to show Hunter what he was capable of and was doing just that. Alexander kept his guard held high, leaving his body wide open for a pummelling. The hook and uppercuts all landed clean, rocking Hunter left to right with moans of pain coming out louder from behind those purple gloves. Turner went from hissing in those punches to roaring them out, letting his strength take full control. ‘Is that all you got? COME ON!’ Hunter roared. With all his might, Jayden slung in the rib punches with such force he could have fractured them.
The bell rang out and the round ended. Jayden was pumped up from that round, the adrenaline really flowing hard now and as Hunter walked back to the corner, his words bellowed throughout the gym, ‘Fuck yeah!’

The Man From Down Under - Part One
Hunter had been working out in the gym for just over an hour now, his head was soaked with sweat and the heavy bag looked a little worse for wear. He was just hot off the heels of his third pro win, claiming victory over a young pug of the name Liam Slinger. It was a two round bout that ended in a TKO with Hunter barely taking a licking. There was no next fight in the pipeline just yet but that was no reason to slack on his training. The high of the sweet science was coursing through his veins like the most potent adrenaline known to man and he was just itching to get into the ring and trade blows.
Luckily, his wish was about to come true. On the other side of his home turf gym in sunny York, there was some fresh blood. A fighter known as Jayden Turner. An Australian fighter who had come to visit the UK to watch the current season of professional fights, he hadn’t seen Hunter in action personally but he was an avid fan of his work and to be in the same gym as him was a small honour that he would repay in kind soon enough.
It was nearly 4pm and soon the gym would be crowded with the after work crowd of those seeking a quick work out, a small group of upcoming white collar trainees and the occasional other professional who just happened to be in the area, if Hunter wanted to get in some rounds before it got too busy, it was now. He searched around the gym, carrying a white towel to wipe off his sweat and rocking his professional purple and white tasseled fighting trunks. He was very proud of his custom gear and felt it was a damn shame to never use it outside of the big ring events. There were also matching purple 12oz Cleto Reyes with a white lace combo to go with the outfit which he had slung over the ropes of the ring in the back.
With utmost confidence and strong, impatient desire, he spotted Jayden working the speed bag. Hunter sized up the fighter, similar build, same height give or take a couple inches and a hungry look in the mans eye that he recognised all too well. Yes, this was the one. ‘Hey. You wanna go a few rounds with me?’ Hunter titled his head towards the right where his gloves were gently swaying on the ropes. Jayden kept his composure, not wanting to seem unprofessional or giddy in front of a professional fighter. This was business and he treated it as such. Jayden nodded his head. Hunter gently slapped his shoulder in agreement and both of them headed for the boxing ring. The anticipation in both of them was almost overwhelming. Hunter, ecstatic at the thought of just finally getting back in the ring, even if it was just for a couple of rounds and Jayden, overwhelmed by the fact that he is getting to spar with a professional and so easy as well. He always had this idea that meeting and working with men like this was almost a foolish dream, like they were celebrities in their own right and no one would ever get close enough to them but here he was, walking side by side with him on the way to lace up the gloves and do some damage to each other.
This was a great chance for Jayden to show off his skills, his unique fighting style and hopefully learn something along that way. Every fight, no matter your calibre was always a lesson. You can always learn something in the world of boxing and to ignore such wisdom was to be your own downfall.
The warriors stepped into the ring, Hunter in the red corner and Jayden in the blue corner. They took their time gearing up. Jayden was rocking his signature orange and black colours. His gloves were all orange with a white Everlast logo running on the top while his trunks had black stripes running down the sides with a matching black belt to top of the glorious satin sheen. They both loosened up, jumped up and down, swinging their arms, waiting for the digital timer to signal to begin. It was set up for four, three minute rounds. Plenty of time to show each other what they are both made of. Oh, this was going to be fun.
It began. The two of them wasted no time in meeting each other in the middle. Hunter went straight to work, opening with a jab to test the distance, Jayden leaned back just enough to stop it caressing his nose and circled Hunter to the left. Another jab, this time blocked by Turner. The gap was closing between them and Jayden could see the hunger in Hunter’s eyes, he was ready to feast but Jayden was not going to be an easy meal. They were close enough now that their gloves were touching, it was just a matter of who was going to make the next move. Jayden eyed Hunter head to toe, looking for any opening, any form of attack. No matter what he did, it was likely Hunter could anticipate it but fortune was on his side in the form of Hunter’s cockiness. With his arms spread wide open, Hunter was begging Turner to take one free shot, anywhere he wanted. Wasting no time and knowing to take an opportunity when he saw it, Jayden slid in with a left hook to Hunter’s ribs that knocked the wind out of him a little and swiftly followed up with a right hook to the ribs and finished it all off with a clean and snappy uppercut to his chin. A spray of spit slew out of his mouth as his head snapped back from the lethal uppercut. Hunter smirked at him without breaking eye contact. This was exactly what he was craving and he wanted more, the fight was on and he had found a worth opponent. Plenty of time was left in this first round alone and he wanted to cherish every second of it.
Hunter Alexander made a moniker for himself well back in his early amateur days. On many occasions in sparring and in professional fights, his opponents went down like a sack of rocks after been tagged with his devastating left hook. The power behind it was worse than getting slapped by a big brick shit house and it never failed to at least stagger his opponent so that he could move in for the kill. Thus, he was always introduced into the ring as Hunter ‘Left Hook’ Alexander and poor Jayden was about to make his acquaintance.
A couple more body shots landed clean on Hunter, making him grunt with pain but he was biding his time. Alexander loved some good body work, whether that was taking it or delivering it. It was his favourite part of the sweet science of boxing, but not only that, he couldn’t help but notice Jayden was aiming mostly for his body. It was clear Turner was an inside fighter that prioritised body work, most likely to wear down the stamina of his opponents that much faster. This meant Hunter had one clear and massive advantage and he was about to take it.
After a sharp left jab to the head followed by a right uppercut to the solar plexus, Hunter arched back his left hand and let it fly with ease. The punch was swift, a total blur, even if Jayden did see it coming there was no way he could have blocked or dodged it in time. It felt as if the light in the room flickered brightly for just a split second and in that time, Turner found himself with his back on the canvas and Hunter standing over him flexing his arms. He had been knocked down in the blink of an eye by a blistering left hook.
‘…four…five…six…seven…’
Jayden had to scramble to his feet, no way he was letting this be the end already, he’d just barely warmed up and got into his flow but now he knew to take ‘Left Hook’ ever more seriously now, he was not playing around.
‘…nine!…’
Standing strong, with his gloves raised, there was a almost predator like focus in Jayden’s eyes now. Hunter had unlocked something within the young athlete and Turner was more than ready to give this rising professional a taste of what he could truly do.

Growing Rivarly - Part Three (Finale)
Nathan had dragged himself up from the canvas and was back on his feet, mercifully, the bell rang out ending the round. Across the ring in Chris’ corner, he gestured his hand going across his neck. The bastard was smug but he was also right. No way he could survive another round like that, if he tried this fight would be over and Chris would claim victory. His only choice was to take the win before him but it would not be easy, his power was crushing, overwhelming but he was running out of steam.
Weighting his options carefully as the seconds passed by to the next round, Nathan took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly. This was going to be the last round one way or another and it was time to decide who would walk away the victor.
The bell rang out and the final round began.
Both men, dripping with sweat and borderline exhaustion met in the middle of the ring, both gloves raised up, just waiting for someone to make the first move. ‘Come on, pipsqueak!’ Chris nudged his chin with his glove, just begging for Nathan to take a free shot. He went to open with a jab but quickly recalled it. Chris rolled his eyes and hissed out a right hook to Nathan’s head. He blocked it but it rocked him to the side, into the ropes. They shook violently and Nathan felt the slightest bit of rope burn on his back. Another heavily hissed punch came from Chris, it was an uppercut aiming for Nathan’s abs and it landed flush. The power behind the punch made him leap up on his toes ever so slightly. Another one came and then another. Sweat poured from his head, landing on his gloves and the canvas. Drool was pooling in his mouth and he could feel another trickle of blood from his nose begging to escape.
‘I can’t do this!’ Nathan thought to himself. He was hurt, tired and out of stamina. The fight was turning into a one sided beat down by the second, things looked bad. In a surprise move, Chris clinched onto Nathan, seems he wasn’t the only one who was out of steam. For a few seconds, they engaged in a tight and heavy clinch. Holding onto each other for dear life, not wanting to throw another punch. Their breath was hot as it passed into each others ears. Nathan took the small chance and slugged a few short but hard right hands into Chris’ side. The jerked together with each blow with Chris letting out moans of pain with each successful punch.
It took a lot of energy and power but Nathan managed to push the beast off him, gain some breathing room and freely move around the ring. He put some distance between them and calculated his next move. Neither of them could go toe to toe with a flurry of combos now, their punches would have to be single, well targeted and hit the right spot to drop either of them. Nathan could target the body. With Chris already winded it wouldn’t take much to make him fall to his knees and catch his breath. Perhaps a well placed liver shot would finish this fight in his favour?
There was no time to keep wasting. Both men, now only half raising their gloves with what little vigour they had left moved slowly closer to one another. Chris opened with a sluggish jab that Nathan parried with ease and counter attacked with a stinging right cross to his eye. He went for a right hook, Nathan blocked it and slipped in a sharp jab to his gut. Breath escaped Chris with that one jab and he was looking more flustered by the second. His face was growing red, sweat was getting stuck in his eyes and his composure was faltering. Nathan sharply took a breath and moved to the inside, working Chris’ body with a collection of left and right hooks. With each blow, Chris was forced backwards until he found himself trapped in a neutral corner. His arms were on Nathan’s shoulders, too exhausted to put up a guard. This was a pure gut punching corner beat down. Nathan showed no quarter, each punch relentless, breaking down his armoured body. One of these punches had to break him, they just had to! He was barely standing on his own two legs yet he just wouldn’t go down, how could this be?!
With a strong conviction, Chris pushed Nathan off him and just caught him with a jab to the nose which triggered the nosebleed once more. A bloody nose, a swelled eye and an aching body, Nathan felt pretty much done for and Chris could sense that. A right hook to Nathan send him careening into the red corner and before he could collect himself, a left hook to the body had him crying out in agony. A right hook then landed clean and a left uppercut, square on the chin had Nathan on his back seeing stars.
No cocky grin, no smugness. Just a blurred vision of Chris standing over him, counting him out. He couldn’t move, he could barely breathe and the pain as just too much to bear.
‘…eight…nine…ten!’ ‘…you’re…out.’ Chris slowly walked back to his corner and sunk down, resting his back on the turnbuckle pad. His sweat slowly sticking him to the leather. ‘Not bad kid.’ Nathan was still flat out on his back, dazed and disoriented. He had came in just to train and do some sparring but instead ended up in a brawl that we he going to have to explain to his coach for starters.
A powerful rivalry had begun today. He made a vow that this would not be the last time he boxed against Chris Romero and that the next time they do meet in the ring, Nathan would claim the victory over him.
