Here's Tiamat! Or Marduk, according to Dungeons and Lasers aka Archon studio. Still, it's one of my favorite minis ever, and now that I have grown in skill and have hindsight, there's so much I would've done better with this piece. I'll definitely paint it again and compare someday. Only flaw is that the body is so itty bitty...

I don't even know what to call this guy. Cyber croc? Alligator man? All I remember is that it was a rather lazy paint, except for the leather details, and the eye. I was so proud of that eye, and I would still be if it weren't so huge. Either way, it's a quick but clean job I suppose.

A friend asked me to paint a false hydra for an upcoming Halloween one-shot, and I was all too happy to oblige! This is a 3D printed model, which why it's so choppy in parts, but it was really fun to make it all gruesome and scary. The off-putting fleshy tones were also awesome to play with.

Here's a pretty big beetle. I tried going for an iridescent effect, which has always enchanted me, and while it does work from some angles, it doesn't always. I was happy with it back in the day though and I remember the effort I put in fondly.

After a long hiatus, I return for the new year. I painted a lot in the meantime, but for now I'm going to keep posting chronologically, or at least try to.
In the meantime, here's a little band of fiends from December 2023! Devils, demons... I used them in a one-shot with my demon queen and they were a huge hit. I still like them after the year that has passed, which is nice! They were a blast to paint, so that must've helped.

Here is my Swampboss Skumdrekk! This mini took me days to complete, and it's probably one of my favorite models so far. I've really grown to love rendering leather and wood, and this model gave me ample opportunity for both of those. Add skin practice and time to do cool basing, and it's just a fantastic model to paint.

This Tyranid Hive Tyrant was an absolute blast, and challenge, to build and paint. The different options were paralyzing: they were all so cool! I settled on this combination of limbs and wings, which by itself took long enough. And then I had to paint it! I had none of the exact shades recommended on the box, and I really wanted to get something as close to the box art as I could manage, so I had to mix them all myself with what I had. It was particularly fun to get the pink shade paint done myself, with a mixture of water, paint, and a drop of dish soap to let it run into the recesses. These photos don't quite show the painstaking shading I did with the white surfaces, so that's a bit of a shame, but I can definitely do better next time with that. All in all, I'll definitely be painting this guy again. I might even give batch painting another try with a tyranid kit.

I'm once again back! I've painted a little in the meantime but I forgot to photograph it all, and I left it all behind at my other address. So here I am with my latest project, the Father Dagon model by reaper miniatures. I heavily based it all on the example photo on reaper miniature's website, but I did decide on a few personal details. First, though, I had to make my own lure: I lost the one that came in the box. Painting it was a blast, from choosing the colors to the execution. I finished it off with a glossy varnish to mimic that wet/underwater look. Really happy with how it turned out!

Here's the last member of the Hunter's Guild that I have: the set was sold to me incomplete, but I didn't mind. It gave me a few amazing minis to paint and I enjoyed every second of it, so even now I can barely complain! I'll definitely be painting more pewter in the future, once I get the chance.

Another member of the team! He was fun to do, especially the stripes and patterning.

Another Guild Ball mini. I'm also really happy with this one, although I'm still learning how to glue pewter together : this will forever be a display only mini, since both arms are glued on and are very delicate.

I'm back! And back with these Guild Ball members, too. I used the wrong varnish for this one, which is a bit sad, but otherwise I'm just as happy with this one as with the first one I made. I'm also really finding a love for basing. It's so much fun.

This set will make it obvious that for my temporary move I acquired the Army Painter's Game Master character paint set. It's a great selection of paints and the minis and brushes that came with it are fantastic. I wish I'd had this when I first started out: the guides explain everything well and it really walks you through how to paint your first characters.
To relax, for fun, and for curiosity's sake, I didn't paint these to the best of my ability, merely following the instructions and guides. The results are good, sufficient for gaming. And it was a breeze, too ! I highly recommend this for anybody starting out.

New place, new setup, new paints! I broke it all in with this avatar of Sekhmet, which I painted for a dear friend of mine. The new paints took some getting used to, since I decided to go for a different brand than my usual, and while they're a bit thinner, they evidently do the job well!

This mini is from Guild Ball, Hunter's Guild, and oh man do I love it. It's my first pewter mini and because of how big it was, it was so heavy. And somehow that made it such a joy to paint. I poured hours into this to make it look perfect and I'm so pleased with the results.
I have four other members of the Hunter's Guild but I've since gone abroad, so those will wait. This was the last of my catching up, so from now on I'll be posting minis I just painted.

This griffon was also made by zabavka I believe. A gorgeous, highly detailed mini, which made for a breezy paint. I'm particularly happy with the base for this one.

Here is a red version of Origon the Denouncer by Dungeons and Lasers. This mini was an absolute blast for obvious reasons, and was also my first attempt at non metallic metal gold for the belly scales, teeth, horns, claws, and back spines. Though the photo doesn't show it, the base was also insanely detailed and that alone was also great fun to paint. Once I get back home I'll probably take some better pictures of this guy.
