Nope! I don’t believe we ever said we don’t believe in the plurality of those who use transplural labels. We do believe these people are plural or are in the process of becoming plural. Our issue arises with the language they use and our dislike of said language and community they choose to interact with and condone. ‘‘Twas purely a discussion regarding language and community spaces.

yes it’s akin to transmed! It’s a part of it, sysmed is short for sysmedicalist, aka a person who medicalizes plurality. Beliefs like this include bit are not limited to invalidating spiritual plurality, believing the only source of plurality is (often hyperspecific) traumas, believing plurals have a narrow range of behavior and symptoms and all falling outside of it are faking, etc etc. so someone who thinks DID/OSDD are the only forms of plurality is a sysmed, someone who believes all plurals are ‘one person’ (individual collectives can be parts just blanket belief), someone who believes plurals can only have 2-8 headmates, or that trauma is the only possible source of all plurality, all of these would fall under sysmedicalism, though the strongest association is the last one.

generally these people aren’t super open to learning and having positive discussions, and I am not fully equipped for said discussions. I’ve had them a lot over the years and they can be incredibly draining and take a lot of my time up. I’m all for answering questions, but for those who want a full dialogue I’d also ask to interact lightly and find that with another blog.

as for our general beliefs we believe every plural is different and plurality can arise from a wide variety of sources. We take an active stance against fake claiming, and believe we have no right to “disprove” anyone’s plurality or make such statements and always proceed under the belief that they are plural.

Being an introject or not isn’t cut and dry. Some can be partially an introtive, be post-,or merged with one, one can consider themselves ‘kin without being an introject, and a myriad of other relationships with outside sources. You don’t have to call yourself an introtive definitively, nor are you barred from it. Plurality is rarely cut and dry!

to answer the question about there being any positives to the transplural thing, there are none, literally every single transid/rq identity is harmful and romanticizes and kawaii-ifies disorders/disabilities and literal sexual/physical predators

I do have to say the first time I saw the word Radqueer it was on a blog that was run by a “transnazi” and the tag is absolutely filled with terrible posts. The only uniqueness I see to the transplural lables are for transDID and transosdd to have ptsd symptoms not just dissociative which is obviously terrible. Beyond what the term means it seems entirely unnecessary to willingly want to associate yourself with this community. I was here during the big MOGAI discourse wave, I understand people giving things a bad rap but it seems way more common and actively accepted or at least tolerated and then the dangers of predators being glorified there.

so, it’s a redundant label at best that puts you brushing shoulders with terrible people, and at worst it’s another set that encourages self harm. :/ yeah I’m not seeing any reason to think positively of this.

I’ve looked into the Radqueer tags for five minutes after I got this ask and I’ve seen some completely terrible things. I don’t see a need for this term as the only difference between it and the myriad of already adequate labels and label systems (where another could simply be coined if necessary) is actively associating with predators, horrific behavior, and what seems to be a completely terrible community. I’m all for finding terms that fit you but I don’t see how this is in any way useful or helpful.

are there any positives to this that I’m somehow missing? And before someone says, no I’m not calling these people fake or anything, created systems and members are a real thing. Im critiquing the specific terms.

I do worry that the urgency I see people put on source separation is not wanting to make a better life for themselves as of now, deal with their source better or better themselves or the variety of other reasons, but because of sanism and ‘thinking you’re something else is Bad because it’s Not Normal.’ Source separation can be an achievable and helpful goal but I don’t think it should be considered the only option for introjects ‘because it’s how to be normal’.
