Quick bahrain, saudi and miami recap
Bahrain - I actually didn’t watch this race but i could see it was a great race with oscar first and then george and lando in p2 and p3 and pierre scoring alpines first points
Saudi - Great race that weekend with oscar getting his third win of the season and his second one in a row with max in p2 and charles in p3 lando settled for p4 after his qualifying crash, a great weekend with williams taking home double points with two drivers unable to see the chequered flag with pierre gasly and yuki tsunoda after colliding pn the first lap which triggered a safety car
Miami - oscars third win in a row!! And fourth in the season that is strengthened his lead in the world championship later in the race max soon found himself under pressure from the champion ship leader another great weekend for williams with alex finishing fifth and carlos in ninth and the ferrari in seventh and eighth being both involved in lengthy team order debate which resulted them in switching positions. Oscar crossed the line by 4.63s from lando
These races have been great especially with oscar grabbing every win where he has a strong chance at winning the drivers championship i have seen lots of videos of lando flipping off max in Miami which doesnt show a great image.

CHINA weekend!!! Lets recap
Sorry this one is sooo delayed I’ve celebrated my birthday and I’ve recently started a new job but lets dive right into what happened at China
As usual a practice before sprint qualifying is crucial for all drivers and teams so they can prepare the car for sprint qualifying. During practice one all drivers were sporting the medium tyre in the opening moments of practice one Liam Lawson had gone into the gravel while Alex Albon reported something loose in his car. There were some issues during the second half of practice one Charles Leclerc had a spin at turn 3 and a red flag was thrown into the mix as Jack Doohan reported an issue with power steering after the track was cleared we had Lando Norris, Charles Leclerc, Oscar Piastri, Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, Nico Hulkenburg, Alex Albon, Fernando Alonso, Kimi Antonelli and Yuki Tsunoda completing the top 10 of practice one.
In sprint qualifying Lewis Hamilton posted a time of 1m 30.849s during sq3 taking Max Verstappens top spot by 0.018s with Oscar Piastri and tCharles Leclerc not much further back in an ultra-close session. Lewis’s benchmark was a new lap record around the Shanghai International Circuit and, when informed of his pole over the radio, the seven-time World Champion initially could not believe it. “Really?”. George Russell led the Mercedes charge in fifth position, taking advantage of a scruffy final segment for Lando Norris, who had looked rapid in his McLaren early on, only to make a mistake on his first SQ3 lap and abandon the second.
Now onto the sprint itself
After a strong start when the lights went out, Lewis went on to build a commanding lead and – while it was not entirely smooth sailing, his SF-25 experiencing graining on the tyres at one stage – the seven-time World Champion looked in stunning form across the 19-lap event.
Max Verstappen spent much of the Sprint running in second but lost out to Oscar Piastri with a few laps to spare, while George Russell held onto fourth despite a late-race battle with Charles Leclerc, the latter having to settle for fifth. By Lap 6, Lewis was still over a second clear of Max – but the Dutchman had Piastri chasing him down in the McLaren, with the gap standing at around 0.7s. Behind them, the other drivers running in points-paying positions were Russell, Leclerc, Tsunoda, Antonelli and Lance Stroll.
Out of those positions was Lando the McLaren driver having tyre issues as he struggled to close in on Lance Stroll. Also facing concerns with their tyres was Lewis who was suffering graining on his front left – allowing Max to edge closer to the Ferrari. Elsewhere there was plenty of action across the field, with Liam picking off Carlos before the Williams made a visit to the pits for a fresh set of medium tyres, dropping him to the back of the field. The action was heating up behind the top three, with Charles scrapping with George for P4. But there were no such troubles for the other red car as Lewis took the chequered flag by a whopping 6.889s ahead of Oscar while Max had to settle for third.
Qualifying
Oscar delivered a time of 1m 30.703s on the opening runs of the decisive pole shootout and improved to a 1m 30.641s with his second effort, giving him P1 over George by just under one tenth of a second.
George found a chunk of lap time with his final lap to the chequered flag, brilliantly securing a spot on the front row of the grid alongside Oscar and leaving championship leader Lando to settle for third position.
Max took fourth, with the Ferraris of Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc this time winding up in P5 and P6 respectively – the Briton unable to repeat his Sprint heroics.
Racing Bulls starred throughout Qualifying, with Isack Hadjar achieving a fine seventh on the grid and team mate Yuki Tsunoda placing ninth, around the other Mercedes of Kimi Antonelli, as Williams’ Alex Albon completed the top 10 places.
Race
Oscar controlled Sunday’s 56-lap encounter at the Shanghai International Circuit from start to finish, never putting a foot wrong in a much calmer second race of the campaign that centred around whether drivers would complete one or two pit stops. As it transpired, the first five finishers – and the vast majority of the field – only visited the pits once, with Oscar building and managing a gap back to Lando across their two stints to take the chequered flag and kick off his challenge for the title.
Lando hovered around three seconds behind Oscar in the closing stages, when he encountered a developing brake problem and was told to take no risks by the McLaren pit wall – just about ensuring the papaya outfit emerged with that perfect finish. After dropping behind at the start, George did his best to make life difficult for Lando as the afternoon wore on, briefly reclaiming second during the pit stop phase, but the McLaren man had enough pace in hand to take P2, even with his late brake dramas.
Max predicted a difficult race for Red Bull after their Sprint struggles, and he finished where he started in fourth, a few seconds ahead of Ferrari drivers Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, who dramatically made contact on the opening lap. Charles raced on with a damaged front wing, deciding not to change it in the pits, while Lewis was the only frontrunning driver to complete a two-stop strategy – a series of fastest laps not quite enough to make up for the time he had lost swapping tyres again.
Esteban was a brilliant seventh for Haas after their tough start to 2025, followed by Kimi Antonelli, the lead Williams of Alex Albon and Ollie Bearman, who denied Alpine’s Pierre Gasly and Aston Martin’s Lance Stroll points. There was drama post-race, however, with Charles and Pierre being disqualified over car weight breaches, and lewis suffering the same fate due to his car’s plank assembly coming in below the permitted minimum thickness.
While serving as a particularly bitter blow for the Ferrari drivers and their championship prospects, it promoted Ocon, Antonelli, Albon and Bearman up the top-10 order, and moved Stroll and Sainz into the points places.

AUSTRALIAN GRAND PRIX WHAT A RACE!!!
Lets recap:
FP 1,2 and 3
Lando topping the timesheet in fp1 with his time at 1:17.252 with 21 laps completed with Carlos in second and Charles in third with Oscar and Max rounding up with top five. Oliver bearman lost control of the haas at the turn 9/10 chicane which slammed him into a concrete wall ending his first fp1 session in Australia.
In fp2 Charles topped the timesheet with 1:16.439 putting him four tenths clear of Lewis with Oscar 0.124s behind Charles and Lando in third while rookie Isack Hadjar and Lewis rounded the top five up.
In fp3 Oscar topped the timesheet with his time of 1:15.921 with George 0.039s behind and Max in third with Charles and rookie Kimi Antoneilli rounding up the top five sadly Oliver Bearman missed fp2 but was able to particpate in fp3 only to crash not long after dipping his wheel onto the grass under breaking at turn 11 making him go for a wild spin and stuck under a gravel trap.
Quali
After max had secured provisional pole for the first few runs of q3 Oscar beating that by four tenths of a second but Oscar didn’t keep p1 for long as Lando came in with his time of 1:15.096 Max ended up in third with George and Yuki in forth and fifth and the scuderia duo having to settle for seventh and eighth after a yellow flag for lewis has he spun out. Oliver Bearman who sadly couldn’t start his qualifying session which puts him at the back of the grid but most importantly a McLaren front row lockout happened.
Race 🏎️🏁
The race was giving me memories of brazil 2024 two changes happened to the build up of the race with Liam and Oliver starting at the pitlane due to suspension set up and specific changes under perc farme conditions every driver except Lance had started on inters not long after the formation lap Isack lost control of his racing bull at the exit of turn one which delayed the start by 15 minutes after the second start happened australians own rookie Jack Doohan in the Alpine and hitting the barriers at turn 5 then under the safety car Carlos in his Williams crashed through the final corner reporting a ‘ massive power surge’ on his radio.
As Lando was leading he reported he saw dry patches appearing along the circuit was informed by the McLaren pit wall there would be no rain for the next 30 minutes. As the laps ticked by Oscar continued to light up the timesheet and in turn starting putting some pressure on Lando giving the pit wall to think about when he got in DRS range.
An even bigger twist came at lap 34 when Fernando in the Aston Martin crashed heavily at the turn six exit spot that brought out another safety car and almost the entire grid pitted for slicks shortly afterwards haas both boxed Esteban and Oliver to change their inters for mediums as they were against pitting under the safety car with a clear dry line now visible for the best part of the lap. Meanwhile a five second penalty was given to rookie Gabriel for an unsafe release involving Liam’s Redbull.
As the rain continued to intensify underlined accidents for Gabriel at turn 13 and Liam at turn 2 and a smaller off for charles meaning the safety car was called out once again with both Ferrari’s dropping the fight for honours between Lando and Max once more. Lewis got on the radio letting out his fustration that “ they missed a big opportunity”. Max gave it all in the last few laps getting within DRS range but not close enough letting Lando get his fifth career victory with George in third.
- Williams have had a strong weekend in all 3 practices and in qualifying with alex finishing the race in p4 after a five second penalty was given to Kimi but unfortunately carlos slid off track earlier in the race let him to dnf. ( just looked at the offical formula one twitter they reversed that postion back )
- both rookies Liam and Oliver struggling this weekend could there be a mid season driver swap for both teams if they don’t perform well?
- I think Oscar could have gotten into the top 3 or even won if he didn’t accidentally slide onto the grass
