sorry if this has been asked before, but how long do you typically spend on one of your drawings?? like for example, the Hermit-a-day ones or the Etho with frogs one that you recently posted?

I would say after figuring out my process with the Hermit-a-day ones, I’d spend around 15 minutes trying to come up with a pose by drawing lots of stick figures. Then, it would take me around 1 hour to complete the image.

In real time, I do take breaks and just zone out sometimes, so you can probably round the whole process up to 2 hours kek

how do you pick colours for your art? your colours are always so pleasing to the eye

Oh thanks!! I do love colours and usually pick them as I go.

I would say limiting yourself to just a small number of colours and repeating them instead of always picking more hues helps unify an image visually! (tricks like using multiply or overlay modes digitally with a flat colour are v useful for that)

Also you can add a lot of variety and depth by just taking tone into consideration, avoiding adding even more hues.

That’s how I usually think about it!

I love this way of working because it doesn’t kill the energy of the sketch and I avoid lineart altogether. I do maybe 10 quick stick figures and pick the one I like.

I dont really have a preference which member, but I love the way you draw anyone doing an action like jumping or running :D

anyways I also wanted to add that the way you pose characters is just so cool to me, they all look so dynamic and you make them look so whatever the opposite of stiff is, 17/10

hi, you don’t know me but i’ve been seeing your art style in my dreams for years and you inspired me to doodle my wife’s d&d character. i was trying to do a very very basic study of shapes and colors how you use them, and i just thought you’d find that neat!
