Have you heard the phrase, “ You are what you eat”?
Well its true in the case of your teeth as well since what you eat affects the quality of your teeth and the artificial flavors are detrimental to the color your teeth.

Braces Getting In The Way Of Your Oral Care? Meet The Interdental Brush
Tumblr media
So, you’ve finally been convinced to get braces. Thankfully, after a few days of dull aches, and a couple of visits to the dentist, you seem to be alive and kicking.
But one day, you flash yourself a wide grin in the mirror and notice minuscule bits of food and plaque stuck to your teeth. These bits seem to be wedged between your teeth and the brackets of your braces.
An Oral Dilemma
Brush as you might, you can’t seem to completely rid yourself of this buildup.
Flossing is out of the question because your braces get in the way… a lot.
But you can’t just leave things as they are. Ignoring the buildup for a prolonged period of time could cause the plaque to eventually affect your dental health. Besides, you aren’t going to look too great with bits of food clinging to your teeth, and it might even result in bad breath.
So, what do you do?
A More Refined Approach
If you’re in this predicament, just get an interdental brush, and you’ll have perfectly clean teeth in no time.
Some have short, specially-shaped handles, while others have regular toothbrush handles. The head is made of a thin wire with tiny bristles sticking out of it. Its design allows you to effectively clean the gaps between your teeth and get rid of plaque.
It’s especially handy when you’ve got braces on because it helps remove particles that a normal toothbrush can’t reach.
When you’re shopping for an interdental brush, you might want to buy a couple of different sizes to ensure that you get to all the nooks and crannies of your teeth and your braces.
Also, keep in mind that when the bristles get worn out, or the wire itself twists out of shape, you need to get a new one.
Of course, don’t just toss your previous oral #care routine out the window! It’s imperative that you continue to brush your teeth to reduce the amount of plaque and remove the buildup of bacteria in your mouth.
It’s also a great idea to buy a tongue brush to keep your tongue looking fresh and pink. You could buy a toothbrush that doubles as a tongue cleaner, but it won’t do the job as well. That’s where a tongue brush can make cleaning your mouth a lot simpler.
Your braces are going to come off eventually, but you’ll still have pictures to remind you of them. The least you can do is keep your teeth clean while smiling for the camera.
Say cheese!

Well if you just love chewing ice for fun sake, its time to bring this to a halt. It not just weakens your enamel but also weakens your teeth.
