About this time four years ago I finished weaving this tapestry. I made it into a cushion, but.
But looking at these images, I realise how much I love the edges of the thing, and they are all hidden now.
(I get very obsessy about edges.)

Three more pieces that felt right in the foggy morning.
Stitches, and paper, and frayed edges.

It's a super foggy winter morning this morning. So I fished into my box of treasures and pulled out these soft grey and blue-white pieces to arrange.
Two stitched rocks, two small beaded button shapes, some stitched paper, a very small rectangle of my grandfather's handkerchief, and a stitched sample (also stitching on my grandfather's hanky, with crochet and needlelace edging).
The small arrangements each morning are starting to feel like a necessary part of my day.

A little fun with my basket of creatures.
For @elizabethplaid who spotted them hanging out on my shelf <3

Just a silly candid, unstaged photo of some of my guys hanging out on my shelf together. I just thought they looked nice in the morning light.

This morning's arrangement.
The slightly overcast winter sunlight is perfect for taking photos by the window. I love the soft light on these cold mornings.
Anyway, this arrangement is a bit different. I had fun collecting the pieces from my 'little creations' box that wanted to sit with the tapestry.

Arranging objects again. Whites and offwhites again.
I hope it's okay if I keep sharing my little arrangements. I don't have the energy to stitch at the moment, but this keeps my brain sparking along with new ideas and feeds my need to create in a small way each day. I do recognise that it may be getting a little repetitive for you though.
I like how this looks a bit like an awkward family photo or some sort of stilted still life.

I just felt the need for some very soft neutrals and whites.

A little green, a little purple. Shapes again.
Strangely I really enjoyed revisiting the teeny details on that brown and golden canvaswork snippet. Got me thinking.

Note
wow your creations are so awesome and beautiful, there's something very whimsical and comforting about them especially the stitched patches and stones :]
I am really enjoying the stones and little shapes too. They just are little things to make for the sake of making, but I like that they have no purpose and are just... well you said it best, whimsical!
Thank you <3
