The brand Winking Owl from Aldi is part of a larger identity system. The imagery and type on every bottle is the same, the colors only change. This helps indicate what wine it is. The colors and font help you think that the wine is for a more modern generation. They are sophisticated schemes like this mustard yellow or a burgundy color scheme for another type. This tricks the viewer into thinking that this is more expensive when it’s a generic brand.

This info graph of MSUs impact on the planet, is trying to convince the vie about how eco-friendly MSU is. This info graph is lying do you to it not sharing the amount of people that were surveyed and how many people didn’t use eco-friendly transportation. There is also the hidden fact that employees are able to get a cheaper parking pass for carpooling so numbers may be squeezed from that if they were dishonest when purchasing this. Also in the grand scheme of this polling, MSU has over 60,000 students and so compared to the 2664 trips that ratio really isn’t that great.

The heart on this Johnson’s baby lotion is a symbol of design. It is meant to elude to caring and love that a parent would have for the child. It is trying to get the consumer to buy the product as if they buy, it would mean that they care and love for their child.

The peanut on this piece is an icon due to it trying to resemble the typical peanut in a shell that is inside and many know. It isn’t a picture of an a real peanut but rather a cartoon that alludes to the content. you can look at this piece and know that it is a jar of peanuts purely from the icon..
