South Nodes - Oh so scary?
Tumblr media
Hello Astro-followers! Seeing as the moon is currently in Scorpio, I thought it would be a great time to share my current obsession. The Nodes. I’ve been a practicing astrologer for almost a decade now. Funny enough, I didn’t start to understand the south node until the day I started seeing my husband. When we started seeing each other, as like in any *new* relationship, it was engulfing, indulging, romantic and intense. I suppose not every new relationship is like this, but ours was. We shared a sense of belonging to each other, like we already knew each other or have been with each other. It was so comfortable right from the start. Once I started looking into our synastry it made perfect sense. It’s the Nodes. (Plus maybe one or two other aspects but I will save that for next time.) Firstly, for those who don’t know much about the Nodes: The Nodes are divided into the North Node and the South Node. Both North Node and South Node are found within a chart, 180* apart. They are always the same degree found in opposite signs. For example: if my North Node is 3* Capricorn then my South Node will be 3* Cancer. People often refer to the nodes as karmic habitual patterns that either determine your life’s purpose or past.
The North Node is your purpose in life. It’s what you didn’t have time to complete in your previous lifetime, and what you should be aiming towards in this lifetime. Depending on the house that it occupies and the sign that it’s in can mean a great deal. For example, my north node is in the 11th house (friends, groups, organizations) and it’s in Capricorn (order, structure, planning). I need to work within groups this lifetime, being the organizer and planner. My north node is also conjunct Pallas Athene who rules over Astrology, patterns and strategy, intelligence, crafts. So ideally, I should be working within groups of people, organizing craft get togethers..? Jokes aside, I am a professional Astrologer.
The North Node is like stepping outside our comfort zone and embracing life in full swing. Whenever you practice north node activities, there is a sense of I’m doing this right or like you should doing this. The South Node is often referred to our past lives. Our south node show us the habitual patterns which we carry forth from previous lives. There’s a sense of familiarity and comfort, like we’ve been here before. The south node is what we have already accomplished in our previous life. Usually these skills gained in our previous life are found from the sign and house placement. For example: I have my south node in Cancer in the 5th house. I most definitely was a mother (Cancer/5th house) in my past life and also creativity comes very easily to me. Skills from the past that seemed almost inherent in this life. I believe a lot of people act on their south node out of comfort but the best thing to do is to use your south node as a launching pad to north node activities.
My husband and I share several connections but the ones I will be focusing on is Moon, Mercury, Venus and Saturn to the Sound Node. Moon conjunct the South Node: This is an intense karmic connection. Often means that you’ve mothered them or been their parent in a past life. There is a shared feeling of comfort and security with each other. You intuitively understand their feelings and habitual patterns. You could have lived with them before in the past. This is a very tight emotional bond.
Mercury conjunct South Node: You could of been their sibling or neighbour before. There is a sense that you understand the way that they communicate and intuitively know what they’re about to say.Ā You would feel very comfortable talking to each other!Ā
Venus conjunct South Node: This connection deems a past life relationship or lover. There is a sense (mostly felt by the Venus person) that you’ve been with them before and like you know each other. Flirting, romance, communication comes easy. Often times people with Venus/South Node aspects come back to each other again and again out of sense of familiarity and comfort.
Saturn conjunct South Node: This combination is a binding one, for sure! Saturn works very similarly to the south node already. Both bring heavy and serious karmic energy. If negatively aspected, this combination can bring quite a lot of restrictive feelings and blockages. It would be tough to work together, but there would be a sense that you’ve done this before. If positively aspected, it can be great supply of support and commitment for building a relationship together. My husband and I share connections to all of these. What do you share with your partner? Have you experienced any of these aspects before? Where in your natal chart do you have your nodes? Would love to hear! Please comment or write me below. Thanks! Love to you all. LC x Ā

MNA: Mars, Neptune & Allergies
Tumblr media
So, as someone who has had her fair share of allergies, it finally got to me. Enough is enough. Why do I keep having rashes? Why am I breaking out? Why do I constantly have a stuffy? Why does it look like I’m crying whenever I step outside? (Even if it’s January???)
A brief history of my allergies: They started when I moved into my first flat, in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada, back in 2010. It was an old victorian style house. Beautifully charming, with old crooked hardwood floors and cracks in the corner. I never suffered from many allergies when I was younger. I was always told that I was allergic to penicillin and mushrooms (although tbh I think my family made up the mushroom allergy). So when I started experiencing these fits where I couldn’t sleep because my eyes were watering or I couldn’t breathe through my nose I was so confused. I suffered for months without even clueing in to the fact it could be allergies.
Luckily my mum works in healthcare and she managed to get me an appointment for a prick test. (You know those weird tests where they prick your skin with 50+ items and then wait for the reaction?! Not nerve wracking at all..)Ā The doc told me I was allergic to birch trees, mixed trees, pollen, dust & dust mites. This made sense. I started taking a seasonal nasal spray and occasionally eye drops. Since then, I haven’t been consistent by any means but still have the spray and use it whenever spring rolls around.Ā
It wasn’t until mid January 2018 when I had (quite possibly) the worst ear infection I’veĀ ever had. At the beginning of January I flew from Canada back home to Brighton, UK. The combination of the long haul flight mixed with the stress of arranging everything for our wedding that left me feeling wobbly and woozy the entire week before. I was taking the prescribed antibiotics, however near the end of the last dosage IĀ had an allergic reaction! My throat began to swell, and I had to find numerous ways to keep myself calm. Deep breathing. Antihistamines. Ibruprofen. So tired of these allergies and it just got me thinking WHY me and WHY now?!Ā  If any of you know me, I’m a bit of an astro nerd. These reactions lead to vigorously online searching. There must be some one else who’s experienced allergies like this and pieced it together with astrology?Ā I had a feeling this was Neptune’s doing. The mysterious and mystic, illusionary and deceptive. I couldn’t figure it out but I knew this had neptune written all over it. Having my natal Sun Square Neptune, I’m sort of used to this. I’m sensitive. (Yes, I’m a sensitive flower).Ā
I also have my Mercury & Mars in Pisces (Pisces being Neptune ruled) which adds to the Neptunian energy. Mercury: which is the way you talk, speak, hear, listen, communicate, your ears, your siblings... Ā all being ruled by the sensitive, dreaming, illusionary Neptune. And Mars: Mr. Action himself, the daring, the brave.Ā  All the while, my mercury and mars are in my 1st house. 1st house ruling your body, physical reactions, who you are, your physicality.Ā
At the moment, Transit Neptune makes a conjunction to my Natal Mars. Boom. Also, my progressed Mars is 28* Pisces, conjunct my Natal Mercury. Boom. These are both squaring my natal Moon, 21* Gemini. Boom. (Gemini: also ears/throat/rules over Mercury). (Boom?) Annnnnnnnd to top it off, Transit Pluto just entered my 12th house. (Do I need to say boom again?) I didn’t really know what to expect with transit Pluto entering my 12th house. Pluto is a slower generational planet which means it takes awhile to transit through the natal houses in a chart (248 years to transit the full chart - to be exact!) So in a life time, Pluto will usually only transit up to 4/5 houses depending on the life span and the person. When a planet enters a new house typically you feel the change. It’s like a burst of new energy. The longer the planet transits the house, the more it becomes comfortable. Kind of like if a stranger came over to visit you in your home: at the start you show them around and then the longer they stay the more they become comfortable. TheĀ 12th house also being the hidden house ruled by Neptune/Pisces.Ā
Pluto being there - it’s going to do whatever it wants. You cannot control Pluto. You have to let Pluto do it’s thing, even if it’s scary. Obviously I was having these reactions, but I had to deal with them. Having Neptune transit my 1st house, I am expected to have mysterious unresolvable issues around my body (Neptune/ 1st house: body/physicality). I’m not sure if I will receive any type of closure with this until Neptune leaves my 1st house... however that might not be for another 3 years!Ā  Having Neptune transiting my natal mars in the 1st will also bring a reaction. Mars in the 1st is prone to accidents, injuries, illnesses. I’m not so lucky that I have progressions which are activating these transits as well.Ā
Transits to look out for (if you have allergies): Mars / Neptune / Pluto either entering your 1st/6th/12th
and making connections to either Virgo/Pisces planets, natally or progressed. (Moon for stomach, Mercury ears/nerves, Mars body)
Now I want to hear from you! Has anyone else has any allergic reactions? If so have to looked at your birth chart and transits? (Or even your progressions if you’re feeling brave?) What sign/placement are your mercury and mars? What about your Neptune or Chiron?Ā

sagittarius moon ♐ ☾
Tumblr media
Dear Sagittarius Moons! Happy Lunar Return! This is aĀ fireĀ andĀ mutableĀ sign. This Moon sign is emotionally expansive. Usually one of the parents tends to have qualities of a teacher, or may actually be a teacher. This is the adoption moon! This moon is also named the traveling moon, loves to travel and is emotionallyrestless. There is usually emotional encouragement in the family. They tend to have family or properties in other countries/places. This moon is similar to wild horses… they can’t be held back. Sagittarius Moon natives alsoĀ attach philosophies to their emotions. Freedom for these people is required!Ā  The moon representing family/home/mother/food, these people tend to have an interest in international food (global food).Ā  Their home needs to be big and open. Think: big rooms, open spaces, modern designs. If not, they tend to feelĀ claustrophobic.Ā  This Moon rulesĀ Australia, SanĀ Francisco, Canada and all Spanish Countries.Ā

ā™Š gemini ☾ moon
dear ones with gemini moons!Ā  happy lunar return!
the moon is currently 25* degrees gemini, and I thought I would write a little post. feeling inspired with my own moon gemini!
so this sign is anĀ airĀ sign, and it isĀ mutable.Ā
traditionally with this moon sign you have the tendency to have two mothers. whether it be an adopted mom, a close sister who acts like a mom, a friend, an aunt. you could have two families or live in two homes. [or feel comfortable in two homes - it’s quite a flexible moon sign!]. one could also feel very communicative with your mom, like you can connect through your mind, or feel like you can talk with her. this position is great for flipping homes! [upgrading them, renovating them]. twins also run in the family! family places more importance on reason than emotion. your homeĀ - requires a lot of light and air! need to feel spacey in your home. also you need WINDOWS! you’re likely to change homes frequently your nurtureĀ - Ā ā€there must be a reason, I feel this way!ā€ mind with emotions. you are brought up intellectualizing your emotions. you will either play a mother role to a sibling or a sibling will play a parental role with you. allowing emotions to roll out without engaging the mind is extra challenging for you. decisions will provide an extra challenge as you see the logic in two different paths. the more you attempt logic, the more confused you may become. usually 2 or 4 children/girls and boys (or twins) your foodĀ - buffets would be a starter. love snacks, and love variety in life and food. finger foods, snacks and thai count as their favorites [these are all mine.] I think every moon gemini eats in front of a computer or tv! haha
influence - at this time, when we experience the gemini moon there is a major tendency to gossip! be mindful of what you say. communication is the lesson here. also brothers and sisters/neighbors/community may play a role during this time. the moon is only under this influence for 2-2Ā 1/2 days at a time so it’s not very long!Ā
during this time I have spent some quality time with my brother and sister! we actually cooked thai tonight! ;)Ā

just adding this to my other blog..
new moon libra
Tumblr media
I feel like I should discuss this past new moon. We had a new moon in libra <3 in the morning of the 12th (august)Ā  this new moon was a release of emotional state. libra - focusing on keeping peace, mending relationships, opening anew, maintaining equilibrium, etc etc. right up until this time, the planets in the solar system have been making aspects with one another, some good (that amazing trine going on between saturn, neptune and jupiter), and some not so good. (a few squares) with this new moon in libra, is opens up the previous state of emotional anger, repressed feelings, unsaid opinions. new moons are all about creating anew, initiating, beginings… and not only keeping the peace but it is time to step up and be brave about how you feel emotionally.
Personally, I feel that within the last few days things have been said and done in my life that reflect this past new moon. I am so proud for things that have been said. New cycles and new beginnings are on their way…. Change itself is great, resistance of change is hard. Time to roll with it…
