so i never really took the whole “two arrows fired” thing in the cupid bar scene in 8x23 to be a hint at destiel. it’s a nice sentiment and i wouldn’t consider it an invalid interpretation, but to me that seemed to be stretching it a little.

that is until i re-watched the episode, specifically the scene where cas asks for dean’s help (which happens only a few minutes earlier), and saw two very peculiar things clearly visible in the impala’s trunk.

This is my art submission for Bottom Cas Reverse Bang 2022 @bottomcasreversebang I'm so happy when I know that this bang is open and this is one of two arts I submitted.

I keep calling this art "Castiel wings' issue" as the prompt idea in my head as in caption above.

This art was claimed by Oriana @peacewhendone. She created a world with so many details in it, and I'm already blown away by what I read so far, I didn't even read the full story yet, and I'm so excited to read it today.

Dean thinks maybe he should’ve listened. Because now he’s staring at a blurry blob of color: black, tan, blue. It’s a combination that makes him hone in on it whenever he’s out in public, every time he catches a glance of it from the corner of his eye. But the owner of the colors is never the one he’s looking for.

I asked how Oriana saw Castiel's feathers in her mind, which sound very beautiful and then I tried to draw and paint this feather and included it in my final art prompt as well.

Castiel arrived just as he sat down, and Dean couldn’t help but notice that Cas took a chair on the other side of the table from him. “Whatcha got?” he asked, tugging at the laptop. Sam scowled at him. “Both couples were big contributors of the public library,” Sam said, grabbing for the laptop. “In fact, the library is having an event tonight. Black tie. I hacked in, got your names added to the list.” Dean glanced at Cas. “You ready for this?” Cas quirked a smile. “Would it matter if I wasn’t?” “If you don’t want to do this -” Dean began, only to be cut off. “It’s fine, Dean.” Castiel said. “Great!” Sam said cheerfully. “It starts at seven, so you might wanna figure out what you’re wearing.” At Dean’s horrified look, he quirked an eyebrow. “Remember that case with Bela?” Dean groaned. “This just gets better and better. Welcome to SPN Folklore Bang!

folklore noun folk·​lore | ˈfōk-ˌlȯr 1 : traditional customs, tales, sayings, dances, or art forms preserved among a people. 1a. The coyote appears in much of Native American folklore. 1b. Paul Bunyan is a figure from folklore. 2 : a branch of knowledge that deals with folklore; a specialist in folklore.

The SPN Folklore Bang is exactly that: a bang challenge focused on folklore with a Supernatural spin. Authors and artists sign up, authors write a fic and then the fic is claimed by an artist. This bang was thought up by Sushi, because she wanted one. Oriana just did the technical stuff.

Authors have two options: a mini bang (5k minimum) or big bang (20k minimum). Artists will create 1 piece of art for mini bangs or 2 pieces for big bangs. However: you are not limited to those amounts. If you end up wanting to write 20k or more, you will need to switch if you signed up for the mini bang. Your artist is under no obligation to create more art if you don't switch before artist claims.
