Steven Universe, 1976. The only thing that keeps me from making a full video of this is the need of a properly funky arrangement of the theme song. More retro-fitted shows filed under my “title art” tag. (Also on Ko-fi, Patreon and Instagram! Links in blog.)

Lapidarist High: Chapter 2
Thanks to psykopsy for the idea for Yellow Diamond
Steven was in awe of the whole thing- the full sized lockers, long corridors, and the many classrooms. The boy was running about, taking sight of whatever he could as Pearl and Garnet were happy to allow him to explore his new world. Amethyst was a bit more bored of the idea, since she knew the school like the back of her hand and to spend so much time re-exploring what she knew seemed tiresome.
As if on cue, Connie stood beside Steven as he was taking in the trophy selves. “Connie!” He turns to her with a grin, as Connie had her own weak smile.
Connie transferred to two schools habitually, and the two seemed to be accustomed to it at this point. She was too- but her favorite was Lapidarist High since she got to see the three women and Steven, plus, her other school required school uniforms.
“Have you seen the lunchroom?” Steven asked eagerly, and then pulled out the lunch box for her. “Look! Pearl made one for you too!”
“Well Steven’s special friends should get special treats.” The pale skinned girl was ruffling the boy’s brown locks as he begun to flush, chuckling.
“Thanks… Pearl…”
“Stop messing with his funky flow.” Garnet explains, taking Pearl’s arm to gently guide her, as Amethyst was quick to follow behind, her arms crossed behind her head as she continues her dry laughing. Steven took his sight back to his friend.
The Indian girl had her hair in a low ponytail wearing her best clothes for the first day; her parents thought first impressions were important. But thanks to Steven her parents finally let her choose her clothes for the first day, and the parents stopped being such tiger caregivers constantly.
She wore a knee length skirt, rubber rain boots, and a sleeveless blouse. Steven wore about the same thing he did every day, Connie took the lunchbox.
“This is perfect! I can try out my full sized locker!” She held her fists to her face in a hero’s gesture, feeling amazed by now they were officially teenagers.
Connie pulled her schedule out from her bookbag, “Let’s see yours!”
After some searching in his hamburger bag, he did discover the schedule. The two compare, finding they had history and study hall together, as well as the lunch period.
Steven cheered, “We got so many!” He was enthusiastic once more, stars in his eyes. There was six periods, and two, as well as lunch, would be spent with Connie. She was a little surprised to have a history class with Steven.
Then smiled, he must know a lot. They did find Buddy’s Book in the Buddwick’s library, maybe he studied more. Not as much as Connie, obviously, but she was appreciative to have two classes with him.
As fun it shall be, the periods were later in the day. Steven kept his toothy smile. “I can still walk you to class.”
Connie nods, “Yeah! Let’s go!” the two happily ran through the halls, excited for the day ahead.
….
Connie’s first class was math, which she dreaded since she would be drowsy in the mornings and concerned she could not function at her best. But she was confident she could still pass the class with flying colors. Since she was still a freshman, some teachers still taped a name tag on the tables. This was one of the classes, the tag was perfect, taped well and had both a photograph and the name attached, having four names going downward. She was the first- since she was the first class. She sat down, laying her bag against the table’s leg ready to start the day.
The other students came in, either within an extreme excitement or a sluggish regretful state- no in betweens. The tables were divided in two pairs, and the one who sat beside her was Tanzanite Zoisite. She raised her eyebrow at the name, before the action of the chair being moved and someone seating their weight upon it snapped her daze. She saw the green color themed teen.
“Oh, hey Peridot. You’re Steven’s friend- right?”
Peridot’s eyes roams to her, she already felt weary from the drama, but kept her smile proud and wide. “I’m friends with many popular people- as you can tell, most upperclassmen- I’m sorta a big deal. I’m already an upperclassman already- Peridot Olivine.” She chuckled, polishing her fingers on the fabric of her shirt.
Connie blinked, “Oh, well, then why are you in a freshman math class?”
Peridot took a moment to process this information. “Aren’t I in class 230?”
Connie shook her head, “Oh, no, this is 223.”
With that, Peridot sprinted off as the teacher paces inside. The teacher walks to the front of the class, to the chalk board before rotating on their heels to look at the peers. They began name call, with the peers raising their hands, calling the names as they got to Connie’s table.
“Miss Maheswaran?”
“Here!” Connie’s hand rose quickly, as the teacher took note, check marking the student off.
“Miss Zoisite?” The teacher called, as the world became hushed in the classroom as the peers awaited a voice. The teacher paused a moment, before going to the next surname.
                                                      ….
Garnet was already in her class, sitting in her table as she rested her feet on the surface of the desk. She looked around the classroom, as predicted Lapis was staring out the window, her arms resting on the pane as she looks out the school’s views.
She then looked back to another corner, the ‘cool kids’ including Buck, Sour, and Jenny, alongside Kevin. Garnet frowned at Kevin; it was one of the few people she disliked.
Steven felt uncomfortable towards him, and he picks on Steven occasionally which is a sure fire way to make her dislike someone. Kevin found her staring towards him; he winked, turning his attention to his friends.
She stares blankly, unlike James, who didn’t realize he wasn’t in love- Kevin was simply a rude little boy who flirts with anyone who has a lean waist. She brought her sunglasses back to her eyes as a way to avoid him. The final bell rang, as the rest left to their writing desk. Lapis departed to the back, as Garnet removed her feet from the desk, wiping any mess off the surface before the teacher came in.
The teacher had an elegant air to her, “Hello class… I’m Miss Diamond, Jaune Diamond. I do hope you all learn something- but know. I’m not here to hold your hand; I am here to educate those who can help themselves. If you cannot understand what I am trying to show you- please change classes.” She spoke, then begun to immanently compose the lesson on the board as the students begun to hurry and grab papers for notes.
The teacher seemed ready for business than to be a public educator; she had on a yellow buttoned blazer, with a black undershirt, dark dress pants with her bright yellow heels. Her hair cut short in the back, reaching her neck yet the front had some layered, spiked hair moving forward draping her forehead. Her nails coated the same yellow as her bright blonde hair.
Her colors matched well, she almost looked as Aurelia, the student teacher aide, who sat at her desk looking quite smug of herself. Aurelia was a pale girl, with bright yellow eyes, with blonde hair in a pixie cut similar to the teacher; she wore dark brown skirts, a yellow sweater vest, a white blouse and beige knee socks. She always wore golden earrings and necklaces, often telling Garnet her gold bracelets were replica making a scene of it last year.
Garnet removed her sunglasses, going to open her purse like bag to grab the necessary supplies for this class.
….
Study hall was third period, and known as a ‘free’ period, where some students had tutoring and extra classes, as others had more hobby based courses. Connie had a simple study hall, where you can catch up on work.
The two chose a seat next to each other, the class was a melting pot of students seeing the class was free game, as long as you did not have terrible grades, and didn’t want another class it was a do nothing class with a laid back teacher.
So far, the ones Steven recognized were Lapis, who picked it for him, Peridot, Kiki and Sadie. Kiki and Sadie were standing by the door, enjoying a light conversation as Lapis found a seat besides Connie and Steven. She grabs her headphones, ready to zone out. Peridot was bringing out drawing materials.
Connie already had homework from both math and English, since they were honors. Steven frowned, as his classes were the regular and not as heavy as hers, she would be busy as he had nothing to do. Steven goes to look at Peridot, “Uh.. What are you doing?”
“Just going to draw- I have to say I’ll probably be a big deal in the Arts Club when I join.”
Lapis glances to her, “You’re going to join Art?”
Peridot had her satisfied smirk once more, “Why yes I am- are you?”
Lapis shook her head, “Staying here longer with people I hate doesn’t sound fun.”
“But I’ll be there!” Peridot exclaims.
“I can see you at home.” Lapis declared, which made Peridot beam, it wasn’t a complete ‘I don’t care if I see you’, it’s how Lapis shown affection to many.
Steven tilts his head. “What’s an Art club?”
Peridot took this moment to happily educate her dearest friend on the matter. “Art Club is where artists of all kinds come to practice, do events, and show off their skills- even helping some.” Peridot smiles, “And I- Peridot Olivine, will soon be the leader of this group!”
Lapis raised an eyebrow. “Why you?”
“Why not me?- I’m lovable, adorable, and completely ready to give orders!”
“I don’t think the Art Club is where you give orders.” Lapis looks down to her phone, searching for a song. “Try JROTC.”
Steven looks down, tapping his chin. “What club can I join?”
“Maybe Art, Drama? I’d be careful, I heard freshmen get it hard in clubs. It’s why I waited until I was an upperclassman- an aristocrat. Now I have to be treated with respect!”
“They don’t actually do that- people don’t care.” Lapis debunked her as she began her music, laying her head in her petite arms. Peridot blinks, wondering if she wasted a year.
Steven thought, he’ll have to choose a club! It’s what he was excited for in High School. He’d have to ask his other housemates at lunch. As he was in deep thought, he heard the heavy footsteps of Jasper, peeking her head inside as Peridot was quick to stand up, go to the sign out sheet, and leave with the older teen.
Steven watch as the teen dropped everything and left with the other, lost in thought if Lapis done the same thing when they were in a relationship.
The study hall period was long, as Lapis slumbered and Connie worked, before they were gone by the bell ringing.
The school day continued as so, leaving to class, after class, and then to lunch. He only had Garnet, Connie and Lars, as Lars seemed to sit at the end of the Cool Kids’ table, yet not speak to them. Feeling sorry for him having no one, Steven sat beside him, as Garnet was more than happy to sit with Steven wherever he may.
The day then slugged on after this, the next class was math, and Steven didn’t fathom a lick of it. It was as if someone was speaking another language and the bell could not come sooner, next, he ran off to the last class.
The class was jam packed with new freshmen, like Peedee, who he was cheerful to sit by. He was always happy to make friends- but getting to spend time with already established companions was just as fun- maybe funnier.
The two sat beside each other, talking of other topics like cinemas and comic books before the class starts.
The class was less stressful, it was science and Steven had taken a liking to the idea of science, being taught of elements and more felt like the world became so much more exciting and new.
The school day concluded, as the swarms leave quickly, some awaiting a bus or another ride, as others left to walk. Peridot was standing by Lapis, much unalike being Jasper’s lap dog.
The two spoke of their garden. The couple of girls drifted to Steven’s group. They waited for Pearl; she usually had to wait for Aurelia and Azul to finish with their work. They were usually enforced to work together.
Since a young age, Pearl has been grouped with Aurelia and Azul for their social status, hobbies, and talents. The girls share ballet abilities, a wealthy background and an organized, respected work ethic.
Though, Pearl had distaste for each girl, for differing yet varying reasoning for both. Aurelia was the classic well-off, self-righteous girl, who believed she owned the world and more, as Azul was a snake in the grass. She seemed quiet, kind, and gentle, but she would spread a rumor faster than you can say ‘fake’.
Pearl came from the building, taking fifteen minutes to finish the work with the two as she give the impression of being emotionally drained from being around people she has such revulsion for.
Garnet had a comforting smile, patting the petite teen’s back. “Fish Stew Pizza tonight?”
“Can we get fry bits on the way?” Steven asked, plead in his tone.
“Don’t think Mister Pizza would like that..” Lapis talked, as Peridot shrugs.
“Steven’s kinda a rebel; he gets stuff off the menu.” Peridot grins, as the group chuckles before going to walk off. Peridot and Lapis walk off to their own street, the collection breaking off to finish the evening.
The two would visit some point in time, after dinner and working on the garden. The stay would last a few hours, and then the two would return home.
Their life seemed perfect right now, without much care. The summer’s tragedies were now faded, as the teens could just relax their days away for the school year ahead.

Lapidarist High
By Cherry Rose
Thanks to The_Scent_Of_Rain (archiveofourown), MALlG, narootos and many artists for the inspiration.
The Lapidarist High’s gates unbolted early in the morn as the usual for the first day, and the typical crowd of the early birds came to chill out around the doors and hoped to find their classes. Some were freshmen who hoped to find the classes, to look better than the rest.
The other half was the ones with bad home lives, troubled youth and bored teens. An almost dangerous combination, you could tell the troubled and bad home lives students quite easily.
One delinquent, many assumed the leader, was over six foot, her white dyed hair ran past her back- many thought this was a weakness and tried to tug- only to regret it seconds later. Jasper Quartz was her name, and she was known for her fighting and crude nature.
The gossips told of her being younger and much fragile, she had the skin disease Vitiligo from an early age, came from a clearly poor background and her mother had died in a car crash- leaving her with a distant aunt resulting to her becoming socially obstinate until becoming ferocious.
Given a mostly male name, Jasper, to boot, she was often teased and bullied as a child until about the third grade where she broke one of her bully’s hands and then became completely isolated by everyone but two other people.
At the side of Jasper, was a miniscule sophomore, who kept bringing her eyeglasses up the bridge of her nose. This girl, Peridot, was always seen with Jasper since grade fourth. Whenever they didn’t have a class, Jasper would usually skip- which she did otherwise- and sat in Peridot’s classes.
Nonetheless they were a grade apart, and often didn’t have classes together.
Besides the pack of troublemakers of the school, were the students with troubled childhoods and a destroyed home. One of the most known was Lapis, she was a calm girl- as in, she sat in the back of the class staring blankly. When called on, the teacher will soon realize she will go to the principal’s office than answer a question up in the front.
She wore simple, yet good-looking clothes, with tattoos lining her forearm to her back, to the next forearm in a beautiful line. She loved her ink, and often took chances to show off her tattoos in crop tops, backless shirts, and whatever she could get away with within the school’s dress code.
She often wore flip flops to slide them off, and would be seen barefoot regularly. The school stopped caring what the senior did at this point; she has exhausted the staff since freshman year and has yet to have her will bent by adults.
Jasper’s yellow eyes roam to her, sucking in the cigarette feeling it in her lungs before exhaling once more. Jasper had kept it under wraps, but she always had her eyes on Lapis- and they had once had an almost nine month fling.
Lapis was cold, addictive and nihilistic- Jasper was passionate, angry, and scarred, the relationship ended in more than hurt words. Bruises, cigarette burns, pills popped and tore clothing.
The world wanted to shine the light on Jasper, to be the abusive partner, yet, they both left with the marks, bruises- pain and hurt of the loss of someone they thought they connected with.
Peridot was caught in the middle, even over the summer Lapis would break down at the thought of seeing Jasper in public as Jasper would stay in the cobalt haired girl’s hangouts wanting to see her face.
Lapis stood there, alone as she stuffed the pack of cancer sticks in her blue lacy bra. She seemed completely content with being alone there, until her eyes caught something- someone, and brought a shine in her dark eyes people had never seen. Making Jasper shoot her head towards the opening of the gate, scowling as Peridot sank at the idea of the first school day beginning with drama.
                                                         ....
“Come on Pearl! We’re going to be late!” Steven cried, he was bouncing beside the bathroom’s doorway as Pearl was contained inside. She brushed her platinum blonde hair, making it the perfect pixie haircut; she fixed her skirt, lacing her ballet shoes before stepping out with perfect posture and smiled.
“Oh Steven- our morning routine when you were in middle school will work- we could probably shave off some time since you’ll walk with us for now on.”
“Wouldn’t recommend it.” The booming, dark female voice rang in their ears, heads turned to take sight of Garnet.
The only senior in the household- who was also the head of the household for her age and wise nature, she skimmed her shades downward, “We should go earlier- to show Steven around.”
Pearl touched her jaw in a nervous manner- as she did whenever told she was false. “Oh- well- yes that would be better.”
Garnet kept her smile; she was a full African American woman, age nineteen. She had a large almost square like dark brown afro- she was the darkest girl in the school but no one seemed to notice. She was known as the kindest senior to come to for relationship advice, domestic issues, and many more, even strangers would come to her and she never seemed to mind. She’d even go to the strangers sometimes.
She was a leader like person, and one of the many Steven considered like a mother.
“G-Squad! Think we gonna get something to eat before get there?” Called the voice of the last roommate, Amethyst, she was the second youngest in the household. Steven smiled seeing her; she was like a big sister or aunt to him. He happily ran to her side, as she did her stance holding her hip and cocking her head upward.
She was a mixed race, overweight girl; she was in her sophomore year of the high school.
Each person in the household was like a stepping stone for the grades, Garnet was the elder, senior year as stated before, Pearl was a junior, Amethyst was a grade lower than Pearl as Steven was a newly freshman.
Amethyst lets out her iconic dry laugh, “You’re so gonna get dress coded in that!”
Garnet observed her attire; she sported a long sleeved crop top with a yellow star, black leggings, and thick, golden bracelets. “I don’t see the problem.”
Pearl spoke up, “I’ll bring a top for you.” She told, as Garnet beams at her.
“C’mon P, she can take care of herself.” Amethyst amused herself with the white tank top strap as Steven spoke up.
“Is the dress code that bad?” He tried to yank down his pink shirt; however Garnet raised her fingerless gloved hand.
“Not to boys, you’ll be okay.” Garnet informed as Steven upstretched an eyebrow, wanting to question what that means before Pearl picks up two lunch boxes, one was a Cookie Cat, as the other was one of Connie’s favorite books- the Unfamiliar Familiar, well, up to a few weeks ago when they both read the last book’s ending.
“I made your favorite; there is some tea in there.” She told him with a beam, as Steven grins at the lunch box, as he took an inhale to sing the entire Cookie Cat song before Garnet spoke up once more.
“We should get going; we might be able to see Connie before lunch if we do.” She said with a smile before the group locked the door, going to leave.
“Wait! I forgot to leave cat food for Lion!” He exclaims, it was a stray cat with a light redish- almost pink fur tint Steven had fallen in love with and begged to take in.
“I did it this morning; I knew you’d be busy.” Pearl said matter of factly, and off they went to their school.
                                                         ....
Steven was the first to run up to the gate and enter the institute, he was excited, stars in his eyes before he saw Lapis. The two eyes’ met, as they both grin running in the direction of each other.
“Hey Steven!” Lapis said with a cheerful tone, one most of the school inhabitants have yet to see. It seemed unnatural for her to smile, to look so happy.
Jasper loathed it, she never seen Lapis look so happy, so bright even when while in the honeymoon stage. Peridot knew of the happiness shared between Steven and Lapis, they had a special bond as Peridot hoped to one day possess with her.
Lapis stares to Garnet, the gang had been once used Lapis for their own gain, Lapis had a dulled expression when they met eyes. The look of complete neutral was often why they eluded eye contact with the girl.
Steven held onto her long navy skirt, “You’ll have classes with Garnet! You guys will right?”
Lapis cracked a small smile, “Just because we’re in the same grade doesn’t mean we’ll have the same classes.”
Garnet touched her tinted lenses, “Oh, I think we might.” She assumed in her usual smile, as Pearl spoke up.
“It depends on grades, testing, the pace you need to learn- it matters on so much.” Pearl describes as she went in her teacher mode alongside with her educator style hand gestures.
The bell echoed through the courtyard, as the doors of the school unlocks. Lapis looks back, her hands going into her skirt’s pockets before looking back to Steven. “I gotta go, I’ll see you around, Steven.. Stay safe.” She leans, giving him a soft hug before walking off.
Steven was the first reason she didn’t run away, Lapis was trapped in her own little world since she started seventh grade. Her step father was her sole care taker after the death of her divorced parents at different dates; her once kind and gentle almost second father became a plastered, distant man. He never mistreated her, but he was never there for her. She had to learn to cook, clean, and function for two. She didn’t have cash for clothes, hairstyles, or shoes. When she grew out of her clothes, she wore her mothers’ that bagged on her, she cut her own patchy hair, and had to shower with whatever her father bought.
She soon became the target of many tormenters of either gender, with short, uneven cut hair, to the clothes that was blankets on her and the clear neglect was the recipe for mistreatment in school. She would have told her stepfather however whenever she was home he was by then passed out or too intoxicated to perform any action to help her.
She was trapped, and felt alone. It was only until tenth year where she met both Steven, and later Jasper and Peridot, she would stay with Jasper most nights, and her father wasn’t any wiser. After the relationship was crashing down she bummed at the girls and Steven’s for a couple of weeks before Peridot and her mother let her in.
She was going to run away, with the stash she stole off Jasper for their life to use for gas and to find a new place. But she didn’t know if she loved Steven as a friend, son, or brother, nonetheless she couldn’t leave him behind. She begged for him to come, and when he couldn’t she chose to stay.
That summer seemed so much longer than three months; it felt like years; years’ worth of events occurred to forever change the households.
“Peridot.” Jasper glances down to the smaller girl, who was quick to look up and make eye contact. “Follow that kid around.”
Peridot breathed, “I don’t think they’re together.” She clarifies as Jasper glares.
“Did I ask that? Just follow him.” Jasper then turned back to the others in the pack she stood in, as Peridot left within the school shadowing the group.
Lapis observed Peridot rush into the school, rotating back to look at the tree. This would be an interesting year- at least it shouldn’t be as depressing as the rest of the school years. She told herself taking a final inhale of her smoke, dropped the stick and stomped on it once before joining the crowd shoveling into the school.

Someone call a doctor, because doing this painting killed my hands. Good gravy. That foliage. HOWEVER. Finally, with some help and encouragement I managed to get through it. Special thanks to my fiance for carrying me through and not letting me die in a deep, deep sea of despair  :D

Commissions, Requests, and Fusion!
Steven Universe is a creative, progressive kid show that tries to break social norms, gender roles, and the general platform of children entertainment. It also received its large fanbase, containing its hefty fanfiction population that grows daily.
Fanfiction is quite popular in the fandom, for numerous reasons. Likewise to OCs, You want your OC and a character in a beautiful story of fusion? Do you want to see something you cannot find in Fanficions or Fan comics?
It’s frustrating to have an idea and cannot find something similar to it. You could write it yourself-
But let’s be straightforward, writing is hard, making something like fan-fiction can be demanding, keeping characters in character, grammar, and time consuming for people with busy lives.
That’s where I come in; with cheap prices and reasonable limits I will take your ideas and make them a reality just for you! This is a sub blog for commissions, related to my main blog, my two other sub blogs are for Rick and Morty and Once Upon a Time; my same guidelines apply.
Now the rules and prices are still the same as the main blog. Requests are under 1,000 word count as stated on the Main.
 The rules below
Requests will be small, little pieces under a 1,000 words, for example;
“How would PersonA react to ____?”
The request would show a small reaction to this, without much depth, or, a more detailed request could contest;
“How would PersonA and PersonB act in a relationship?”
I see requests like this a lot, being asked this question, I would show a small scene- almost as if a skit. Requests are short, sweet pieces of work that are not meant to be full fiction. These will be public, no matter what. If you want a privatized work of fiction, please look in the Commission section of this post.
Requests are not for full pieces, for full pieces, please go to the Commission section.
Each piece, public or privatized, is given in a non-editable file with my name and blog information on it. It is copyrighted by me and my work is my blood, sweat, and tears, do not claim it as your own.
·       Prices:
                  Five Dollars
For each 1,000 words, an extra five dollars is placed upon the work.
For a simple ‘Fluff’ piece, containing up to three characters under the word count of 1,000 is a simple five dollars, which is sent in a non-editable file containing my name and my blog information.
Adding more characters do bring up the prices, if not in one of the price packages, we can discuss how much should be charged.
                    Ten Dollars
For sexual fictions it begins at ten, and these only counts for the word count of 1,000.
If the word count is 2,000 on a piece (non-sexual) it becomes ten.
If the work contains four to six characters, it becomes a ten dollar fiction
                  Fifteen Dollars
Sexual fictions to the word count of 2,000 falls into this section.
The word count of 3,000 is also selected from here, the starting point price.
The work comprising of six to twelve characters also becomes fifteen dollars.
If you questions, please message me for details.
  ·       Payment:
To pay me for my work, we will use Paypal, and you will pay me half before, and the rest afterward. Even for the five dollar pieces, I expect you to pay me the 2.50$ before I begin on the piece. This assures you do have the funds, and it is proven if the costumer has already poured money in it- you can be more confident they will continue.
This also, in case of spammers, I am paid half of what I am owed.
  ·       Limitations and Restrictions
My rules, while small, are still my rules and I do not wish to debate them. Writing is a passion, so I won’t allow it ruined for a price tag.
1.    I do not write about feces, urine, and most bodily functions.
2.    I will not write about characters under the age of sixteen (age of consent in my country) in questionable scenes. I will not spend a life in jail for money.
3.    I will not write torture fictions
4.    I will not write about violent rape.
For further detail, please message me
