Letters He Will Never Read

(Authors note: this is honestly just a way for me to vent and let out some frustrations of mine. Inspo is from Cloud Atlas, and the letters to sixsmith)

To my dearest Dove,

I cannot begin to express the frustrated feelings I have knowing you will not be lying adjacent to me this evening. To grow used to ones company and then to have it stripped from you should be a crime.

I know that this comes to a possible shock to you, but I wish to ask for forgiveness over our most recent squabbles. I was apprehensive over our parting, and I acted out of this need to preserve something of mine. What it was, I am still not sure. I also apologize that I am unable to give you a concrete, fully realized explanation. Know that I shall work on this and keep you informed.

As for my current journey, I have met individuals that would both make your jaw drop, and roll your eyes. Or perhaps you would not do either of these things because of your mass experience of the world. It always amazes me the things that you know.

Well, its becoming late in the evening, and I plan on attempting to rest properly,I hope you sleep well, I love you

I Remember This Door

I have walked here a number of times

Through various bushes, trees, and vines

Sometimes with a lovers hand intertwined

Though this door is no one's but mine

Carved on its edges are tallies, height marks, and simple shapes

but all more dull than before, as with time things fade

The memory of some of them I can't quite place

Though others do put a somber smile on my face

I remember this door, its a promise to try again

Though I always end up in the same hallway with no end

Maybe this time I will see a true New Years light

Or perhaps to these thoughts, I will once again say "Good night."
