based on the fact that none of these things have been addressed in a few episodes i’m operating under the assumption that:

it was really heartening to learn that the purpose of creating such a thick uterine lining during the menstrual period was to prevent the implantation of embryos rather than encourage them, and that our uterus is basically flushing out anything it deems unworthy during the period itself rather than “punishing” us for not being pregnant (which is how it’s usually framed). it’s almost as if your female body is more concerned with the protection and continuation of itself rather than being used as a procreative vessel.

the fact that we’ve come to accept the idea that our reproductive organs are punishing us for not being continuously pregnant is proof of how deeply patriarchal brainwashing has convinced women that we are nothing but broodmares for ‘their’ children.

Hey do y'all fucks remember two years ago when just before the election all these “don’t vote both parties are bad” or “vote independent!” Posts were going around and then Trump won and now two weeks before midterms there’s all these “don’t bother voting, revolution is the only way!” And “your vote isn’t gonna matter and is an ineffective way to protest” posts are going around? i love that feeling you get at the end of an amnesty episode when you hear the end music start to play and this huge grin breaks across your face from realizing that shit’s about to go down and the grin only gets wider the longer the music builds up and then you’re beaming with baited breath and wide eyes as you wait for that fuckin cutting one liner and then they say it and you lose your shit and u start getting fuckin funky to that violin bass drop yeah i love  that feeling

*sticks leg up in air* the rise in popularity of podcasts and vines and other such forms of audio storytelling is a cool art form *backflips* but every new art form leaves disabled people scrambling for ways to access the stories because abled folks forget that not everyone can hear and not everyone can understand audio-based arts *does the splits* so please fuckign caption your vines and subtitle your videos and provide transcripts of your podcasts

hi!! for my moral philosophy class, i’m doing my final paper + presentation on how our society constantly pits and compares women against each other and the negative impact that has on women. 

i made a quick (literally 6 questions) survey that i’ll talk about in my presentation to show how often it happens and how it actually impacts women, not just how it can, just for better perspective for the audience.
