The K-Pop Demon Hunters was fun but unfortunately I can’t call it good because of the ending. It completely went against the message of love and understanding they seemed to set up. I was convinced it would end with the girls and boys having to do a song together because that would be the ultimate act of compassion and acceptance but instead that was only reserved for Rumi who was only half demon and Jinu who had to die for his redemption. They shouldn’t have shown so many little humanizing moments with the demons if they planned for us to see them ALL as pure evil.

When the movie ended my friend and I just sat in silence. She had been so excited for it so I tried to be nice and said something like “That was fun but I didn’t really like the ending” and to my surprise she said “…yeah that ending was kinda bad” I can’t stress how floored I was because she HATES thinking too hard about movies. She feels it ruins the experience. But even SHE couldn’t ignore how disappointing the ending was.

Sam and Fragile put it on their right thumbs, Tarman on his left middle finger, Rainy on her right pinky and Heartman on his left ring finger like a wedding band. Symbolism?

Tomorrow wears one too on her left hand but I couldn’t get a good picture of it.

It’s a mystery to me why the fandom never picked up on Heartman talking about intercorse “verbal or physical” and ran with it. There should be a million fanfictions where dirty talking makes him cum in his pants.

If I’m right about him having history with Dollman in some way and people start shipping them we might be forced to use dirty talking a lot more unless you want him to get creative with a puppet.

The way Heartman and Dollman talk to each other suggests they have history. Heartman smiles at Sam but it fades immediately when he sees Dollman. He doesn’t say “Dollman? So good to see you” Instead he immediately jumps to an almost accusatory “It’s been a while…” and Dollman quickly deflects by asking if Heartman’s old heart is still ticking and Heartman looks away and laughs like “Fine. I was hoping we could talk about this but you clearly haven’t changed. I’ll be civil though” and I only just realized Heartman explains his exoskeleton to Dollman, not Sam, because he looks down at him while showing how he can flatline anywhere safely and only looks up at Sam to explain that he doesn’t even need a bed anymore.

If I didn’t know any better I’d think Dollman left Heartman at the altar. I joke but Heartman clearly feels abandoned by Dollman and I hope we get a lore dump about them.

Absolutely deranged take but if Neil is the new Snake was Heartman the Hal this whole time?

I shouldn’t speculate before the game is even out but Heartman is uniquely able to meet Neil on the beach so maybe there’s something there? Heartman seems to be getting a bigger role in DS2 and Neil will be a playable character so I could see them become Kojima’s more mature version of Snake and Hal. The nerd and the soldier who have both experienced a lot of loss.

It’s getting pretty difficult to excuse how selfish my “friend” is. I always knew they were hypocritical, bending the rules for self gain and changing their mind at the drop of a hat if their moral stance no longer served them. They’ll say “People aren’t allowed to steal my art!” but immediately turn around and say “Oh I don’t mind that this creator plagiarized and stole all their content because I enjoy their work”

And now? They’ve been fighting for trans rights for years but now that they’ve finally had their top surgery and been on T for a couple of years they suddenly don’t care. “Who cares if this person is transphobic? I like their work” “No, trans people shouldn’t be allowed in sports” “I’m sorry but most trans people look like freaks. Why can’t they just look normal? They’re making the rest of us look bad”
