sharfy - a writer's introduction
Hi all :)
I'm certainly not new to Tumblr but I am new to being open with my writing! I'd like to go by Sharfy, I'm a 23 y/o PhD student (she/her), and an aspiring author.
I have written almost my entire life: short stories, full on (awful) novels and fan-fiction (dear God). But I've recently started to take my craft more seriously, with aims to soon publish. My current WIP has been bouncing around in my head for near enough a decade but it's only recently I've been refining it and actually writing up scenes instead of day dreaming about abstract concepts. When finished, it truly will be a labour of love :)
I primarily write in the SF/horror genres, with my current WIP being an adult SF. I hope to branch out to other genres as I refine my skill!
Current WIP(s)
The Pecking Order - To Kill Two Birds series
What's your place on the totem pole worth to you?
Lenon Thompson's morals lied with whatever got her far away from her family's farmer roots. Jack Mitchell's morals lied with whatever he had the guts to speak up about. When the two soldiers get split apart by a battle in a land that has boasted "200 years of continued peace", Lenon and Jack become two sides of a coin that is quickly becoming their home empire's favourite currency.
Other WIPs not yet developed:
The Later Parade - Book #2 in the To Kill Two Birds series
The Rotten Nest - Book #3 in the To Kill Two Birds series
I hope to be able to interact more with writers in this community! :)

A writer's ego is different than your average ego. It boosts itself higher than the heavens when someone compliments my work.
But tell me something as small as "is that comma meant to be there?" or "that's not the correct way to use that word" and I will go into a writing hibernation-sesh for the next century in a fit of self-doubt.
We are fragile creatures.
