prior to the legion expac, the burning legion obviously must have worked with the Jailer in order to get the crown of damnation to make ner'zhul the first lich king

the fact that the burning legion was using necromantic magic in the first place suggests some sort of tie to the shadowlands

i wouldn't be surprised if the crown of damnation was made by the Primus back before going missing, and before whatever happened with the Jailer happened (something must have happened with the jailer considering in spires of ascension Devos mentions a great injustice being cast upon him)

also, it's known that demons don't die, instead they travel to the twisting nether until they can get reborn

what allows the demons to bypass the entire death system? Them working with the jailer thats what

perhaps that's even what happened to the Jailer, being cast down to watch over the maw could have been punishment for enabling immortality

this is all i have for now, if come up with more at a more reasonable time i'll add even more to this. i bet i'll read over this tommorow and it will make no sense, but oh well

some shadowlands theorizing

At the very beginning of legion, Vol'jin ended up getting killed during the broken shore battle, leading to Mueh'zala posing as Bwonsamdi in order to get Sylvanas in power

at this point in time, i don't think Sylvanas was working with the Jailer yet

at the end of Legion, Sargeras plunges his sword into Azeroth, and it's at this point in time I think the Jailer and Sylvanas started working together

the anima drought and all souls going to the maw must have happened some time after Ursocs death, since we know he made it to Ardenweald.

however, Ursoc ended up having his soul sacrificed, so he probably wasn't in Ardenweald long

perhaps aroujd the time Sargeras plunged his sword into Azeroth?

This give a good diversion for Sylvanas to be able to work with the Jailer, and you'll notice it's around this point she becomes more morally bad, and it's also around the time she burned Teldrassil.

so i think if it weren't for the Legion invasion, none of this would be happening, and I think it was deliberately planned for Vol'jin to die when he did

and Sylvanas wouldn't be evil if it weren't for the sword in silithus

Why the fuck does Jaina have to apologize to Arthas?

I keep seeing this take, and I feel like I’m taking crazy pills! 

“If/When we see Arthas in Shadowlands, will Jaina apologize for abandoning him?”

Excuse me!??!?!?!?!? Isn’t that the exact fucking opposite? Shouldn’t Arthas be apologizing to everyone and their mother, for all the horrific shit he had done to them?

Shouldn’t he be apologizing to Jaina and Uther and Muradin, for not listening to them and then turning into the fucking Lich king?

Shouldn’t he be apologizing to his parents, and his sister, and his people, and Sylvanas and all the other people he killed and turned and their families, for all that shit?

Some of these people really looked at a story where one person was refusing to listen to any warnings from their loved ones and marching straight into villainy, and the lesson they came up with was “Obviously the correct decision was to go down with him.”

No, FUCK NO! That is not the “correct” or the “moral” choice. Grow out of that toxic, 5th grade logic on what love and friendship is supposed to be. People aren’t supposed to stick with you “no matter what”. YOU aren’t supposed to stick with them, “no matter what”. The “handle me at my X” stops at literal horrific crimes and shit that is 100% morally reprehensible. You do not sacrifice your own sense of right and wrong and be complicit in what you know is an atrocity, because “love/friendship”.

And no, you do not have an obligation to “fix” or “save” anybody either. You cannot help people who refuse to accept they need help. You cannot change minds where people aren’t willing to listen.

Abandon my ass. Jaina feeling grief and a misplaced sense of guilt is her own problem and flaw, that is not a validation of your 12 year old logic on how relationships should be.

If we ever meet Arthas, the one who should be apologizing is him, not anybody else.

Ever since I first made my Ny’alotha Bingo chart I told myself I was going to do something similar for all following raid tiers. Nathria has been out for a few months, sooooo I figured it was about time to put something together!
