We need everyone's help right now to protect the rainforest and Indigenous People

The Amazon Rainforest is under a massive threat. I know you've heard this a million times, but this is different. There is a piece of legislation that will decimate the rights of Indigenous people of Brazil, who have been protecting the rainforest. It's unfathomably bad. It has majority support. And they're voting tomorrow. As reported here, the Bill allows "the Brazilian government to find energy resources, set up military bases, develop strategic roads, and implement commercial agriculture on protected Indigenous tribal lands, without any prior discussion with the affected peoples."

The thing you can do—and I know this sounds overly simple—is sign this petition—and tell your friends to do the same: SIGN HERE.

Anon from the Great Fairy question; very silly question I’m sure but, what would make them tilt towards Light?

Light is mainly condensed to things like enlightenment and understanding, but it can also be things such as fortune and mysticism. There are several instances in Homestuck where either Light or Void players make references to the specific mythologies of their world, be it Rose and Roxy with their wizard fanfics and Rose echoing the creation of her own Universe in her Complacency of the Learned book, or be it Vriska and Aranea recounting exposition about the Ancestors. Since the Great Fairy is essentially a mystic god who empowers Link with tools which are light coded, she can lean hard in that direction. See, for example, the barrier of light in Nayru's love or the bright flames of Din's Fire. Even Farore's Wind warps Link out with a flash of light.

Additionally, Great Fairies in other games have been associated with wealth and fortune. See the Great Fairies in BotW who require the magic in Rupees to regain their power (and the forgotten and mysterious Horse God in that game is symbolized by Horses, a Void symbol no less, but thats a topic for another day). And then there was the Fairy in what I think is a Link to the Past (I could be wrong) who echoes the story of the Golden Axe, which is very much based in ideas about wealth and fortune.

Now, that is to say that each game's Great Fairies should be taken on a case by case basis. I think Great Fairies in general tend to be vastly different based on their various interpretations across the series. So BotW Fairies would be Sylphs of Light, and the Fairies of other games would hold different Aspects. If you wanted a specific iterations Classpect, you'd wanna examine them in specific; what powers they have, their role in Link's journey, and game mechanics they're tied to.
