watching a show where half the writers room wanted a ship and the other half didn’t is fascinating because wdym they’re not canon but they say stuff like “last time someone looked at me like that i got laid” and “i lay his clothes out in the morning” and “i’d rather have you, cursed or not” and [talking about (literally) sleeping and bathing together] “we already do that” and “i did it, all of it, for you” and “god help me, i still like him” and
I didn't elaborate on it before because I was too busy freaking out about the fact I met Will, Rider, and Danielle in one night, but here's a summary of the really cool response Will had to being asked if Eric and Jack were in love at Pod Meets World Orlando:
Will basically said that he thought Eric never had gender or sexuality in mind when he loved. Eric is just a loving person. He mentioned how, if anyone came into Eric's life and stayed, he attached to them and loved them. Will thinks he loved Rachel at a point and that he loved Jack towards the end there, too. Eric was just a person that radiated love and cherished those who cared for him back.
Girl meets world was ludicrous for trying to pretend that Jack and Eric broke up, like I can understand Jack needing to get away from Eric to try to stop having feelings for him so that he could come to terms with the fact that he couldn’t live without him and realise they belong together, but that wouldn’t have taken nearly 15 years and he wouldn’t have not spoken to his family for that whole time and he and Eric would have been married by then so yeah, ball dropped. It’s not canon. Jack and Eric have been married for 20 years.
