Eilistraee sanctuary in the Underdark

I wanted to animate a little, and try some parallax using After Effects to enhance this drawing. It is of a forgotten sanctuary of Eilistraee hidden deep in the underdark that my players stumbled upon.

Despite being a fallen aasimar, Solomon is such a good boy.

A scene (in the style of a screenshot) from one of my games, this one I'm a player in instead of a DM. Solomon (my aasimar PC) was attending the masquerade gala, when he went to the gardens and saw one of the enemies he'd killed previously standing under a cherry blossom tree. This enemy is associated with Zuggtmoy, the demon queen of fungi, so seeing him alive again made Solomon call his humanity into question.

Deciding that they were both at a stalemate by social niceties, Solomon decided to do what he does best and speak with him and gain whatever information he could. During their intense conversation, the creature wearing a humans skin noticed Solomon's gemstone aasimar eyes, and commented on their beauty... and Solomon's cool demeanor faltered for a moment. The tension in their meet cute was palpable.

Amalica leaving the Underdark with a mission to locate her brother who had escaped 10 years prior. Here she is leaving the darkness behind to embark on a foreign new world she is unfamiliar with.

🕷️ I've been working on a Drow family storyline lately, and one of the characters was turned into a drider. Zolond is the second son of the Abbylan house and was largely ignored by the rest of his family. After his older brother Pharius escaped the Underdark, Zolond was forced to take the test of Lolth as his brother’s replacement. He failed but didn't die, which resulted in him undergoing the ritual to become a drider and become cast out from the city. Pharius was unaware of his brothers fate, and after being forced by his younger sister, Amalica, to return to the Underdark he finally reunited with his little brother… the monster that he had created.

Sibling, Pharius and Amalica, found themselves on the surface after decades living in the Underdark. The drow are warned that if they go to the surface not to fall in love with the moon, but how can you not love something so beautiful?
