#she literally said yes#let it be done to me according to God's will#being able to “venerate” or in other words “look at something that isn't God and yet you think of God” is perfectly biblical#it's not much different than looking at the ocean or dividing cells and being struck with the wonder and majesty of God#we look at men and women and honor them not because of them but because of God#in thinking of them and looking at them we are drawn deeper to God in a different way than staring at Him directly#it reveals more and more because we see God in all His creation and all His greatest servants in a unique way#i do not understand why this is so controversial#God made stuff and people#because it all glorifies Him!#it's like when you see someone you love and then you see how good their kids are#it's not by the child's own merits#but the parents#and by looking at the children and praising them#you give greater honor and praise to their parents for making them so#obviously that's not a perfect analogy#but it's kinda what it is#all creation sings and groans in worship#Christianity
