Someone made me notice how Gerard was really close to Philippe and how he treated him like his son more than Erik himself… This got me thinking…

I imagine him confronting Gerard about this.

Sitting on the floor against the moving wall to his lair, totally disheveled, without mask and with red eyes: ”Gerard? What is your… Bond… with the Comte?”

And Gerard, on the other side of the wall: “Erik… He is a really valuable patron. I have to keep him well.”
