Regarding your answer from that last ask, the songs from Meet The Robinsons are bangers, as well as the whole movie in general, I don’t know why you’re putting it like it’s a bad movie when it’s considered one of the best ones from the experimental era
Yeah I love the movie too, but let’s be honest it’s literally one of the most obscure disney movies… disney doesn’t even do merch with it… I’d argue it’s even less popular than wish (yes it has its niche but the large audience doesn’t even knows it exists come on).
I wasn’t talking about movies being bad, I was referring to people framing wish songs as the worst disney songs ever when I’d like to ask these people “so do you wholeheartedly sing the chicken little soundtrack out loud? Do you consider the bolt soundtrack a masterpiece?”
Again, not that these movies/songs are BAD, but I’d have a hard time arguing that they are a 10/10 and wish’s are a 0/10 in comparison. “Little wonders” is my jam but is it in most disney playlists?

writers and artists will go "this isn't good enough." my brother in christ, you're creating something new out of nothing and expressing yourself creatively. your productivity and unrealistic standards of perfection do not define you or the worth of your art. you're doing great.

These professional musicians that enjoy analyzing songs telling you Wish's songs are bad are not going to kill you guys be for real.
Stop belittling the fact this is a kids movie, as though they don't have orchestras for these
How many of them are professional musicians unbiasedly analyzing songs because they enjoy it and studied music so they know music theory VS how many of them are people who don’t know anything about music and are jumping on another bandwagon.
I’m sorry if I said something bad about a post or review that fell into the first category, but it’s getting harder for me to give people the benefit of doubt by now. There’s been LOTS of catastrophic, overly dramatic comments, like wish songs are the worst disaster to ever happen to the music and movie industries, because they have the lamest lyrics ever (“I couldn’t sit through the movie and had to stop after 20 minutes because of the songs being too stupid / I had to skip the songs because they were hurting my ears” ????????????) and stuff AND THEN, they almost always argument with that one specific line from this is the thanks I get but like. Have you listened to the rest of the song? lol. Of course it’s gonna sound lame when you frame it like this and put the context away. Does “I’m especially good at expectorating” sound like a lyric from an oscar winner movie and EGOT winner composer? Idk, it’s very easy for me to think “ok, this person hasn’t even seen the movie and doesn’t know what they’re hating on, they’re just copy-pasting some other hate comment”.
Also, I’m sorry but I can’t possibly believe wish songs are less popular than songs from bolt, meet the robinsons or chicken little and I’ve never seen anyone “analyzing” why THOSE songs are “bad”. I’m keeping disney sequels out because. Don’t tell me songs from the fox and the hound 2 are better than wish’s

I'm sorry but I've read too many dystopias to believe this whole "King Magnifico kinda has a point" deal.
He is magically removing his subjects' ability to resist his rule in any meaningful way. He pulls out any ambitions or desires for anything greater and only returns them once he's cleared them of anything subversive. Old man playing the lute to inspire the younger generation is bad because he might inspire them to dangerous ideals like change or improvement or, god forbid, democracy.
"But some wishes are bad!" You know what else is sometimes bad? Emotions. But if you've got a society that says "someone could kill someone in anger so we're going to remove all emotion forever except for the elites that run everything", you'd still get why that is a bad thing and a con. I know the myth of the benevolent dictator has far too much hold on our culture, but the idea that the guy lobotomizing the entire population is definitely doing it for their own good and and it only happens to give him absolute power and control over them is ludicrous.
The problem isn't that Magnifico has a point, the problem is that Disney thought he'd need a magic book to be "really" evil rather than realizing that an absolute monarch running a system Brave New World would envy is already a terrifying villain. Stop trying to half-ass a sympathetic explanation and commit to the bit, Disney! Down with the king!

That Magnifico stan account has so many bad takes and people in the comments saying "I haven't even seen this movie but what you're saying makes a lot of sense :)"
WHAT I’VE BEEN SAYING!!! What’s with people blindly agreeing with casual negativity but not casual positivity?😅

Even if Disney sticked with the Star shapeshifter idea, they'd make them and Asha platonic just like with Moana and Maui and Nick and Judy.
This is especially considering that their previous movies don't have romances because they are uneeded for their stories.
I mean of course we don’t know for sure, but yeah I’d say that too based on the art book and what julia michaels said about the songs. We know the songs were written very early in production and according to her there already wasn’t a spot for a love song, so that makes me think romance was never REALLY considered for wish, they surely played around with the concept, but it got scrapped pretty early imo.
Btw I really do wanna see a disney movie with a romance plot, I’m just not that MAD we missed asha x human star, they still work as friends imo and to me they just wanted to tell a different story this time. Who knows maybe they’ll listen to fans and make a romance story for their next original movie but, guess we’re gonna have to wait a little for that. Thanks to all the disney hate people spread on social medias, disney is giving us like. 2 years of just sequels and remakes

I need people to stop saying unalive and start saying kill. I need the whole “replace letters with numbers in any word that feels slightly uncomfortable” thing to stop or I’ll start biting people. Notice I didn’t say b1t3. I said bite. BITE. Yeah I actually spelled it. Didn’t replace letters with numbers. I know right. Amazing

Have you ever heard disney's Once upon a triumph with disney's first indian princess Ananya? The thing is disney thinks we are not ready for ananya and after how people react to asha they are right, Disney is probably going to cancel onec upon a triumph.
Mmm… honestly I had to google this and… I’m not so sure it’s real? I only found a couple websites with information about it. I have never seen anything official from disney about this movie and it’s weird because usually they highly anticipate their next animated features. I’m afraid it was a fake leak maybe.
HOWEVER, this made me realize disney could use a movie about an indian princess. I’m sure some of the people hating on asha were racists looking for an excuse to hate on a black character (I’ve seen comments like “oh so every protag must be black now🙄” “where’s representation for white kids?🤨”) but hopefully disney will come up with good stories to tell while still doing inclusion. Moana 2 I’m looking at you. Don’t blow this for us

Can you imagine that one day disney does do a movie that has a Villain Couple and a Love Interest and it flops and gets hated more then Wish did?
Absolutely. Despite its flaws, I think the real reason wish flopped at the box office is that people wait for disney movies to come out on disney plus now, and the early shitstorm this movie went through when it first came out didn’t help. So it flopped, and then people jumped on the hate bandwagon. But it’s been the number 1 movie on disney plus for days lol. So people like it I guess?
I think we’re in a time where people feel cool by hating on stuff (especially done by big houses like disney), so they will just find something else to hate on. Aside from the two you’ve mentioned, we’ve had the most stupid critiques about wish; such as, it’s too “woke” for having diverse characters, the animation is the worst thing to ever happen, the songs are the worst disney songs ever (guess they all consider masterpieces the songs from chicken little, home on the range, bolt, meet the robinson… I could go on)… and let’s be real, most of these are biased. So I can totally see people making stupid arguments for another movie.
