It also feels like the writing is preventing Queen from reaching her full potential as a villain, as Blind Mew brushed her off as the main antagonist for the new Wizard one instead and she holds little power over the Armada in the current state of things, which just...Sucks. It feels like she's been watered down, even if this was what Sam intended for all along.

Out of the few 'canonical' couples P101 now has, two of them are morally dubious and that seriously gives me the Ick. Why can't we have our own Malistaire and Sylvia, but with an evil robot couple representing King and Queen chess pieces trying to take over the Spiral? Why does it HAVE to be so messy when Sam could have just been clean about it since the fans already like them together?

Retro let me rant about it to him tonight but there is absolutely no reason for Kane and Queen's relationship to be backtracked like this to make it weird and creepy. We already have a weird ass brother-and-sister marriage between El Toro and Mustang Sally and the fans made it clear we weren't comfortable with casual incest then - why make it happen *again* with the main antagonist couple?

Zigazag was the last update before this one, where a Battle Angel informs us Queen is Kane's "marvelous consort" -- finally! Some confirmation on their relationship! She is his wife, therefore a queen consort! But then the All-Time Heist update comes out, and...

..It is super interesting how Kane's death affected her - she is said to be mourning him, acted 'unlike herself', never leaves their palace, fired all their servants to not be seen by anyone - all signs pointing to her having experienced the grief of a widow and why she has the most extreme reaction to a clockwork's death, compared to the rest of the Elite.

Phule later points out just how her mind got affected after Kane died -- it's not hard to surmise it's affecting her state of being, her functioning. But in the midst of all of this, Queen refers to the Elites, such as Deacon and Rooke, as her "brothers" -- and it completely backtracks what was said in ZigaZag and brings in the awful implication that Kane either married his daughter, or Queen is in love with her father.

And, like...why? Why did we need that suddenly changed? What gets me is that it is so, so easy to fix this to remain consistent with what was said before -- change Queen's wording of the Elite to NOT imply she's their sister? But Blind Mew would rather keep it vague and insist Kane and Queen's relationship should feel a bit "creepy"...even though it doesn't NEED to be!

"It doesn't count, El Toro was adopted!" "They're just robots!" Can we pleeease just stop with the incest couples instead. I am begging you.
