hi aaron. i have an ask about the ending of wizards!! (hoping it hasnt been asked yet)

i believe(?) i read that one of the ideas for post-full-troll jim was for him to become a changeling. was there a reason he turned fully human again instead? thank you!!

For Wizards, we’d originally planned for Claire to use her new mastery over dark magic to turn Jim into a changeling, just as Morgana originally created them back in the Middle Ages. (Merlin couldn’t do it or refused to acknowledge the possibilities its powers, because he never learned or trusted dark magic.) Jim would have been able to shift between human, half-troll and beast form at will — or perhaps via his emotions, not unlike The Hulk.

This ending was altered when those working on the follow-up film determined Jim’s arc for the movie would revolve around him coming to terms with losing his powers and being “merely human” during the magic apocalypse. Sadly, our ending simply wouldn’t work with that direction for the film.

For the curious, I’ve attached a small snippet of the original outline grid to see how it would have slotted in rather elegantly.

thinking abt how jinx told sevika she gave silco his injections because "he was a big crybaby and didn't want to do it himself." thinking abt how we know silco has given himself his injections plenty of times without issue. thinking abt how silco took in a little girl who could never do anything right, who could never be trusted with anything important because she'd fuck it up, who was a jinx, and told her "I trust you enough to put this needle in my eye." thinking abt how vulnerable of a position silco put himself in just to make jinx feel safe and loved.

What I find fascinating in this scene is that even though Ekko is targetting this line "Didn't you try to kill him?" at Silco, Silco's answer...

I SWEAR, to me it reads like he's saying he is the one who forgave Vander. I'm thinking this is the case too because in that AU Silco most likely never had vander in a bind at the cannery, since Piltover didn't march on Zaun and Silco didn't have to accelerate the shimmer business.

However, Silco's eye was already fucked by act 1 before the robbery...

And so i further stipulate that this AU is happy because Singed is dead/elsewhere and not in the picture. He didn't fuck with Silco's eye, and there was probably no shimmer.

Silco approached Vander after Vi's death, and did "the greatest thing he could do in life" : forgiving Vander for trying to kill him years ago.
