I should call these as “The Switch-around of Digimon Main Bishounens” because these feature the four main bishounens from Digimon series wearing each other’s outfits.

Yamato and Kouji are obvious choice here. Both characters represent lonewolves in each series, along with their tendency to butt-in against the leaders (Taichi and Takuya, respectively). Both has similar backstory: the divorce of their parents and the fact that they are raised by their father (albeit slightly different). Both has wolf attributes: the evolution line of Yamato’s digimon, Gabumon, resembles wolf and Kouji’s digimon forms are basically wolves in each form (Human, Beast, Fusion, and Hyper). Both has trouble to be a part of a team as they are difficult to trust themselves each other.

Well, in terms of switching outfit, I attempt to draw Kouji’s bandana fitting enough on Yamato’s spiky hair (since I use Adventure!Yamato here, not ZT!Yamato who is more social and secure thanks to his previous adventure). I think the spiky blonde is proud enough to be cool-looking in Kouji’s outfit. While Kouji looks indifferent in Yamato’s green sleeveless-turtleneck upper shirt. It may be that he starts to adopt Yamato’s so-called rebellious attitude.

Takeru and Jian are special cases here. They surprisingly have similar characterizations with different touch. Also, not to mention that both characters are represented in green theme (I know that image color of Adventure!Takeru is yellow to correspond to his crest, but ZT!Takeru has green instead). While both characters are described as the calm and lovable individuals, they are different in several aspects. Takeru is described as a friendly blonde boy who wants to befriend everyone, even not hesitate to give the guidance of the new Chosen Children. Yet he is also described as a vengeful “soldier of justice” who desires to destroy darkness just because he does not want to lose Patamon anymore, and tends to hide his vengeful, brutal self with the so-called happy mask (it cannot be helped that his hardships in previous adventure are catalysts of the degradation of his characterization in ZT). Jian, on the other hand, is more withdrawn and tends to avoid conflict as possible (though he is also described as a friendly person). He will try to look for another way to solve the problem instead fighting. As the series progresses, he is forced to realize that sometimes he has to participate in an inevitable battle to make anything better. Another aspects are the fact that he is smart and technology-minded, along with his devotion in Li family (especially about his little sister, which is also his main weakness as her presence in Digital World drives him to be irrational and out-of-character in one episode).

About their switching outfit, I am surprised that the different outfits work well in both characters. Jian surely looks awkward in Takeru’s outfit, but it is only a matter of time. Takeru, on the other hand, has no problem about Jian’s outfit.
