Amazing how we have dreams of playing video games for a living without realizing the amount of stress it involves. Yikes!

Mortal Kombat Secret Menu
Here’s a cool story: a video was uploaded on Sunday feb 21, 2016, showing that arcade cabinets of the Martal Kombat game have secret menus that went unnoticed for more than 30 years. The secret menus were meant to be used for diagnostics but they can also allow you to cheat your initials into high scores, view character fatality endings and more.

Nintendo Quest
As a video game collector, I have amassed a good chunk of video game gems. I’m not really into hoarding games of trying to get every single game for a specific console; I’m more into collecting games that I remember made me very happy as a child.
In recent years though, collecting video games has turned into a business, with more and more people looking to cash in on old video games by reselling them for insane amounts of money. But still, there are some people that just do it for fun.
Nintendo Quest id a documentary that started as a Kickstarter project, with the film depicting the challenge of finding every official Nintendo-licensed NES 8-bit game in 30 days without using a computer. Currently playing only in Canada, hopefully we will see the film in the US or online via Netflix.

First Inductees to the Video Game Hall of Fame
On May 17, 2015, the Video Game Hall of Fame selected its first set of inductees to their list: Pong, Pac-Man, Tetris, Doom, World of Warcraft, and Super Mario Brothers. There will no doubt be a lot of people that will disagree with this selection, but, the fact is, all of this games not only influenced the video game world, but also reshaped the way video games were created. Some of these games introduced platforming, while others revolutionized the PvP arena. But in the end, each game has become an icon to every one that has become a player or an spectator.
