making premature gazan babies suffocate on their own bodies is unbelievably cruel. i can't help but think of my own birth - 25 weeks, 1lb 14 oz, with underdeveloped lungs. i am alive solely by the grace of medical treatment, so for anyone without much knowledge on prematurity:
it isn't even nearly as simple as these babies needing oxygen. they need incubators. and feeding tubes. and weight checks. and vitals checks. and hats. and blankets. and their (potentially dead) parents touch/presence (literally can help keep them alive). they need 24/7 supervision. they need to be in the neonate ICU, able to immediately go for surgery or imaging. they need this and more for MONTHS; i spent the first few months of my life in an incubator, on oxygen. i was not even able to be held by my parents.
without this intensive, even long term medical care, these babies WILL die. they just will. iirc, the complications of lung issues in premature babies is the leading cause of our death, and these babies are suffocating, some undoubtedly getting brain damage from low oxygen. there is no good reason that in another 22 years (my age), these babies should not be living life, surrounded by their loved ones. they should be able to live as long, happy, healthy lives as they would get with the best medical care on the planet.
if you believe in any measure that they somehow deserve this or are "collateral damage," you have lost what it means to be human. you are genocidal, without a shadow of a doubt. palestine must be free. from the river to the sea.

Hi this is first anon system re:kinning again!! i know theres a large portion of the kin community who doesnt do it voluntarily && honestly Most of our experiences w the kin community have been nothing but positive! all the love for kinnies. but yeah the particular circles we ended up in were... very much not that. hope we didn't come across as anti-kin, just our personal experience w/ the well meaning and unintentional harm it caused to us

Um. Just a note to the last anon that fictionkin (which is what I assume you were talking about) is invoulentsty, you don’t chose who you kin, there are just unforthnityely a lot of misinformed people (or just assholes) out there who say it is when they’re really experiencing something entirely different.
Still, really sorry that happened to you anon, hope you’re doing better now
this!

dumb (often abled™️) things i’ve seen on tumblr lately:
1. “ritalin is a mobility aid”.
2. discourse on whether glasses are mobility aids or not. (correct answer: they are not. they are however disability aids.)
3. someone trying to defend chiropractors & also comparing EDS to a spinal cord injury / spinal deformity.
4. “i have adhd and consider myself crippled”.
5. someone (a stranger who is arguing with me) thinking they could call me a cripple because they’re also physically disabled.
6. seen before but recently again, the terms “adhd paralysis”, “scrolling paralysis” & “decision paralysis”. (look up executive dysfunction please.)
7. average misinformation about physical disability from average non cripple.
8. the use of the terms “crippling anxiety”, “crippling depression”, “crippling adhd” & “crippling (non crippling thing)”.
9. incredibly fatphobic comments from skinny™️ disabled ppl.
10. “this doesn’t happen to me so ur making it up” comments.

Hello anyone following this blog!
We have made some small updates to our blogs name!
Originally, this blog was named “plural egg culture” but I’ve recently decided a name change should be here. Being an “egg” is a term started by the trans community, and despite being trans myself, I don’t feel as though his blog should be using trans terminology.
“Egg” is a term used for trans people who are unaware that they are trans yet, and it’s usually labeled to unknown trans people by other trans people. So why can’t we apply this to systems? Because other systems can’t tell another system they are a system. It’s a covert disorder, it’s harmful to tell people they might be a system. It’s based in trauma, being hidden and staying safe. It’s a safety measure by your brain, being trans is an identity you learn about yourself. You can show signs of both but it’s significantly more damaging to tell someone they might be a system rather then telling someone they might be trans.
Therefore, I have renamed this blog to be “System Predisc. Culture is..” or any other variation that is given to this blog. For anyone sad to see this name go, I’m sorry but I feel as though it’s needed.
If you have any other, more clever ideas for this blog, you can share, and I might rename it to something more catchy then this.
With Love,
The Selfish System

When the hell did "ask who's fronting" become part of "basic system respect?" When did that happen because I don't think people get how damaging it actually is for some people to push that as the right thing to do when you talk to systems.
I don't WANT you to know who is fronting. In the past when people knew that it put me in danger. I've been abused because I told someone who was fronting. I'm not comfortable with that anymore.
How about instead of making these threads on "basic system decency" we let systems decide for themselves what they are comfortable with?
